연석의 실물차량 충돌시험 데이터를 이용한 주행안전성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Driving Safety Evaluations Using Full Scale Crash Test Data of Curb)

  • Current [Guideline for Installation and Management of Sidewalks and Safety Facilities on Roads] suggests that the types of curbs should be Barrier curb ($85^{\circ}$). Although Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) were not specified in the guideline. The curbs installed on the roads currently are Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) which are not specified in the installation standard. Therefore, it is critical to prepare for the installation standard of curbs by researching types of curbs and driving safety. This research have assessed the driving safety throughout Full Scale Crash Test according to type of curbs (Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) and Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$)). Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) showed higher figure in Theoretical head Impact Velocity, Post-impact Head Deceleration, Vehicle Damage when Crash, Passenger's Wounds Severity, and every other items than Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$). Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) were found to have better Occupant Safety Index. Analysis of Behavior Using Full-Scale Crash Test showed difference depending on the Impact Condition between Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) and Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$). Generally, Barrier curbs ($85^{\circ}$) were superior than Barrier curbs ($90^{\circ}$) in terms of protecting the passengers and vehicle damages. When an impact angle increases, Acceleration of Vehicle, Variations of Speed, and Contact Relationship between Wheels and Curbs, two types of curb showed similarity. However, if an impact of an angle decreases, Barrier Curbs ($85^{\circ}$) showed excellence in Driving Safety such as Acceleration of Vehicle, Variations of Speed, and Contact Relationship between Wheels and Curbs.

핫스탬핑에 의한 자동차 도어 임팩트빔의 개발 (Construction of Vehicle Door Impact Beam Using Hot Stamping Technology)

  • 자동차의 측면 충돌시 승객을 보호하고자 박판재를 이용하여 자동차의 도어 임팩트빔을 핫스탬핑공법을 이용하여 개발하였다. 핫스탬핑 기술은 차량의 차체 강성을 증가시킬 뿐만 아니라 차체 중량 및 부품 수 축소로 인한 공정의 감소도 가능하게 한다. 핫스탬핑 시편을 제작하고, 기계적 물성시험을 수행하여 물성 데이터를 확보하였다. 핫스탬핑 임팩트빔의 성형해석및 구조해석을 이용한 최적 설계를 수행하여 기존 파이프형태의 임팩트빔보다 강도는 102% 향상되고, 중량은 34% 감소된 핫스탬핑 임팩트빔을 개발하였다.

Analysis of Research Topics and Trends on COVID-19 in Korea Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)

  • 본 연구에서는 DBpia에 등록된 코로나19 관련 논문을 대상으로 연구 토픽을 밝히고 연구 변화 추세를 검토한다. 잠재 디리슐레 할당(Latent Dirichlet Allocation) 알고리즘을 적용한 결과, 7개의 연구 토픽을 도출하였고, 각 토픽은 "International Dynamics", "Technology & Security", "Psychological Impact", "Biomedical-Related", "Economic Impact", "Online Education", "Religion-Related"에 관한 내용이었다. 또한 다범주 로짓모형을 사용하여 연구 토픽의 추세 변화를 살펴본 결과, 2020년 6월 전에는 국제적 역학관계 및 생물 의학 관련 논문이 주를 이루었다면, 이후에는 다양한 분야로 연구 주제가 확대되었다. 특히 경제적인 영향, 온라인 교육, 심리적인 영향에 관한 연구가 꾸준히 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 향후 코로나19 관련 공동 연구의 가이드 라인을 제시하고, 활발한 연구 활동을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The quality of subgroup analyses in chronic pain randomized controlled trials: a methodological review

  • The quality of subgroup analyses (SGAs) in chronic non-cancer pain trials is uncertain. The purpose of this study was to address this issue. We conducted a comprehensive search in MEDLINE and EMBASE from January 2012 to September 2018 to identify eligible trials. Two pairs of reviewers assessed the quality of the SGAs and the credibility of subgroup claims using the 10 criteria developed by Sun et al. in 2012. The associations between the quality of the SGAs and the studies' characteristics including risk of bias, funding sources, sample size, and the latest impact factor, were assessed using multivariable logistic regression. Our search retrieved 3,401 articles of which 66 were eligible. The total number of SGAs was 177 of which 52 (29.4%) made a subgroup claim. Of these, only 15 (8.5%) were evaluated as being of high quality. Among the 30 SGAs that claimed subgroup effects using an appropriate method of performing interaction tests, the credibility of only 5 were assessed as high. None of the subgroup claims met all the credibility criteria. No significant association was found between the quality of SGAs and the studies' characteristics. The quality of the SGAs performed in chronic pain trials was poor. To enhance the quality of SGAs, scholars should consider the developed criteria when designing and conducting trials, particularly those which need to be specified a priori.

Environmental monitoring data is applied to EIA process such as prediction and post management. It must he collected and managed systematically for effective applying in EIA process. This article explains factors such as air quality, water quality, soil, ocean, odor, noise & vibration, ecosystem, etc. and organizations of environmental monitoring managed by Ministry of Environment.

원격탐사자료의 환경영향평가 활용을 위한 기초연구 (Preliminary Study for an Application to Environmental Impact Assessment of Remote Sensing Data)

  • Environmental Impact Assesment(EIA) is composed of various procedures, such as screening, scoping, inventory survey, prediction, assessment, mitigation measure, alternative assessment, and post management. Remote sensing introduced lately begins to be applied ecosystem and land use in inventory survey and assessment of EIA. This study explains on land use classification, buffering analysis of residential area, and overlaying analysis of odor predictive data with residential area for application to EIA with remote sensing data. Residential area extracted from land use classification of remote sensing provides effectively buffering analysis of residential area in selection of landfill site with GIS. It could assess also residential effect to an offensive odor by overlaying analysis. Application methods in EIA should be enlarged to assess effectively.

Environmental Specimen Bank and Ecosystem Assessment

  • Environmental specimen bank (ESB) is a new tool to assess ecosystem in environmental impact assessment (EIA). ESB looks at changes in the concentration of pollutants in human and environmental specimens over long periods of time through retrospective analysis of archived samples. Korea started to design its National Environmental Specimen Bank (NESB) in 2007 and planned to launch an operational pilot project by 2010. NESB prepares five Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of shoots of Red and Korean pine, leaves of Mongolian oak, Pigeon's egg, and Common carp's muscle out of 14 planned specimens in 2009. ESB contributes to monitoring the effectiveness of EIA projects and policies by providing a time capsule through ecosystem assessment of representative species. This study reviews ecosystem assessment in EIA and the ESB establishment in Korea and probes NESB applications in ecosystem assessment.

The Integrative Research Paradigm of IRRI and the OneCGIAR

  • A little more than a decade ago, the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) started on a journey of revitalization through adopting the concept of systems research. Instead of being just a rice breeding and affiliated sciences research center, it expanded its vision of impact on the rice-based food systems. In almost the same vein the OneCGIAR has also attempted to aggregate the commodity-based research into food systems-based research that critically caters to specific overarching 'Impact and Action Areas'. Incidentally, IRRI's structure and operations map on to these Impact and Action areas very well. Hence, IRRI's research directly caters to societal, economic and environmental sustainability. It does so through a coherent pipeline that spans the upstream discovery component all the way to product delivery, dissemination, and impact assessment. While a circular 5D-pipeline of demand, discovery, development, deployment and distinction attend to the ground-level realities of demand, development and acceptance of a product, the Four Flagships attend to proximal deliverables under challenging conditions of change brought about by the CGIAR restructuring and COVID-19. Prioritizing specific products under the flagships ensures that institutional support is available to fast-track the deliverables. Clear examples now highlight the potential of such approaches. Thus, despite the challenges of climate change, political unrest of war and global medical encumbrances, the stable partners of IRRI like Korea have helped to come close to deliverables.

해양환경관리법상 해역이용영향 검토기관의 발전방향 (Improvement of Review System on Sea Area Utilization-Impact by Marine Environmental Management Law)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 시행되고 있는 우리나라의 해양관련 환경영향평가와 협의제도의 현황과 문제점을 파악하여 관련 제도의 개선방향을 연구하였다. 또한 해양환경관리법상 해역이용영향 검토기관(이하 검토기관이라 함)의 기능과 역할 및 수행실적을 조사하여 SWOT 분석을 실시하였고, 나아가서 운영상 개선사항과 발전방향을 제안하였다. 2007년 검토기관에서 수행한 실적은 총 358건으로, 해역이용협의서가 165건(46.1%)으로 가장 많았고, 환경영향평가서 104건(29.0%), 그리고 사전환경성검토서가 89건(24.9%)이었다. 해역이용협의의 내용별로는 공유수면점 사용, 공유 수면매립과 바다골재채취 관련이 각각 41%, 32%와 21%를 차지하였다. 그러나 이러한 제도시행으로 해역이용개발 행위가 해양환경에 미치는 악영향을 최소화하고 있지만, 사전예기능으로서의 한계와 여러 가지 내용적 그리고 제도상운영상 측면에서 보완하고 개선해야 할 문제점이 지적되었다. 검토기관의 전문성, 공정성과 효율성을 확보하는 것이 매우 중요하고, 이를 위해서는 고유 기능과 역할을 극대화시킬 수 있는 제도적 개선과 운영상 지원이 필요하며, 동시에 자체적으로 적극적인 발전전략을 수립함으로써 전문적인 검토기관으로서의 정체성 확보와 위상을 정립시켜야 할 것이다. 연안관리의 실효성을 확보하기 위해서는 효율적인 해역이용협의제도를 지향하고, 주무부처의 해양환경관리에 대한 구동력과 능동성을 강화 확립해 나가야 할 것이다.

조력에너지 개발사업의 해양환경영향평가 스코핑 방안 (Scoping for Marine Environmental Impact Assessment of Tidal Power Plant Construction)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 서해안에서의 조력발전소 건설에 따른 환경영향에 대해 분석하고 현재 중점평가항목(스코핑) 및 제도의 문제점을 진단한 후, 환경영향평가 스코핑 방안에 대해 제시하고자 하였다. 해역이용의 적정성 측면에서 명확한 사업목적과 당위성에 대한 폭넓은 공감대 형성이 중요하고 이해당사자 및 기관의 적극적인 의견수렴이 반드시 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 조력발전소 건설에 따른 해양생태계의 부정적인 영향과 어업인과의 갈등을 최소화하기 위하여 스코핑 방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 1) 해수교환율 변화와 유속 변화에 따른 침퇴적 양상 변화, 2) 갯벌 감소로 인한 어류의 산란서식지 파괴, 3) 수산자원 및 어장의 영향과 부유사 확산 등이 중점평가사항(스코핑)으로 적용되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 국민 모두가 환경보전에 대한 의식전환을 통해 자원개발과 환경보전의 조화와 균형을 이루는 능동적 계획 수립과 정책 실현이 될 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.
