Effect of the Front Dielectric Layer on the Efficacy of the Plasma Display Panel

  • We investigated the effect of relative dielectric constant of front dielectric layer on the efficacy of plasma display panel. Dielectric materials with relative dielectric constant of around 6 and 7 were developed. When the front dielectric layer had a low relative dielectric constant, power consumption decreased more than luminance did. And it led to efficacy enhancement. However, the minimum sustain voltage increased.

  • Today, automobile world market is highly competitive. In order to strengthen the competitiveness, quality of automobile is recognized as important and efforts are being made to improve the quality of manufactured components. The directional ability of automobile has influence on driver directly and hence it must be solved on the preferential basis. In the present research, an automated vision system has been developed to inspect the front chassis module. To interpret the inspection data obtained for front chassis module, new interpreting algorithm have been developed. Previously the control of tolerance of front chassis module was done manually. With the help of the new algorithm developed, the dimension is calculated automatically to check whether the front chassis module is within the tolerance limit or not.

태양전지 모듈의 구성 요소가 PID 발생에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of PID Generation by Components of the PV Module)

  • PID (potential induced degradation) of PV module is the degradation of module due to the high potential difference between the front surface of solar cells and ground when PV modules operate under high humidity and temperature conditions. PID is generally derived from the positive sodium ions in front glass that are accumulated on P-type solar cells. Therefore, some papers for the electrical characteristic of only front components as glass, EVA sheet, solar cell under PID generation condition were revealed. In this paper, we analyzed the different outputs of module with PID by considering the all parts of module including the back side elements such as glass, back sheet. Mini modules with one solar cell were fabricated with the various parts on front and back sided of module. To generate PID of module in a short time, the all modules were applied.1,000 V in $85^{\circ}C$, 85% RH. The outputs, dark IV curves and EL images of all modules before and after experiments were also measured to confirm the main components of module for PID generation. From the measured results, the outputs of all modules with front glass were remarkably reduced and the performances of modules with back and front glass were greatly deteriorated. We suggest that the obtained data could be used to reduce the PID phenomenon of diverse modules such as conventional module and BIPV (building integrated photovoltaic) module.

여름철 대한해협의 전선구조에 따른 자치어의 분포 특성 (Distribution of Fish Larvae and the Front Structure of the Korea Strait in Summer)

  • 전선역 주변해역의 자치어 종 조성에 관한 조사가 대한해협을 대상으로 1993년 8월에 실시되었다. 북위 $35{\sim}36^{\circ}$의 대륙사면 주변해역에 전선이 형성되어있었다. 총 125 종류의 자치어가 출현하였다. 우점종은 멸치와 앨퉁이였으며 두 종의 출현량 비율은 각각 84.3%와 7.7%였다. 출현 빈도가 높은 종은 망둑어과, 돛양태과 그리고 자리돔과 둥이다. 위의 5종은 크게 모든 조사해역에서 출현하는 멸치와 돛양태과, 전선역을 경계로하여 수온이 높은 전선역의 남부해역에 주로 출현하는 망둑어과와 자리돔과 그리고 전선역을 포함한 전선역의 북부해역에 주로 출현하는 앨퉁이로 크게 구분되었다. 본 연구해역에서 자치어의 종 조성과 지리적인 분포는 어류의 종별 산란생태 뿐만 아니라 대마난류수와 동해고유수의 접촉으로 형성된 전선의 지리적인 분포와 구조등과 같은 물리적인 영향을 받는 것으로 판단된다.

60대 후반 노년 여성의 슬랙스 원형 연구 (A Study on the Original Form of Slacks of Elderly Women in Their Late 60s)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze two original forms of slacks for thesis to extract outward appearance of design original form applying design measures of the above through diverse research methods. The results of this study are as follow: In original form F, the original form of slacks sloper suitable to elderly women 65~9 years old was W/4+3.5+0.5cm in the front/back circumference of waist, H/4cm in the front/back circumference of hip, (H/4+1+3.8)/2cm in the position of centerline, 19cm in actual measurement value of hip length, 25cm in actual measurement value of crotch depth, (knee crotch circumference~bottom line)/2+10cm and 90 (side waist dot~ lateral malleolus length)cm in actual measurement. front dart position was 1/3 and 2/3 of front waist centerline and back dart position was 1/3 and 2/3 of back waist circumference. It was suggested that front dart quantity (length) was 3.5(11)cm, back dart quantity 3.4 (10.2)cm, side waist up quantity 0.7cm, back down quantity 1.5cm, front crotch width (H/4+1)/4-1cm, back crotch width (H/4+1)/4+4, front knee width 21.8cm, back knee width 24.4cm, front pant leg 20.8cm, and back pant leg 23.4cm.

8.2-GHz band radar RFICs for an 8 × 8 phased-array FMCW receiver developed with 65-nm CMOS technology

  • We propose 8.2-GHz band radar RFICs for an 8 × 8 phased-array frequency-modulated continuous-wave receiver developed using 65-nm CMOS technology. This receiver panel is constructed using a multichip solution comprising fabricated 2 × 2 low-noise amplifier phase-shifter (LNA-PS) chips and a 4ch RX front-end chip. The LNA-PS chip has a novel phase-shifter circuit for low-voltage operation, novel active single-to-differential/differential-to-single circuits, and a current-mode combiner to utilize a small area. The LNA-PS chip shows a power gain range of 5 dB to 20 dB per channel with gain control and a single-channel NF of 6.4 dB at maximum gain. The measured result of the chip shows 6-bit phase states with a 0.35° RMS phase error. The input P1 dB of the chip is approximately -27.5 dBm at high gain and is enough to cover the highest input power from the TX-to-RX leakage in the radar system. The gain range of the 4ch RX front-end chip is 9 dB to 30 dB per channel. The LNA-PS chip consumes 82 mA, and the 4ch RX front-end chip consumes 97 mA from a 1.2 V supply voltage. The chip sizes of the 2 × 2 LNA-PS and the 4ch RX front end are 2.39 mm × 1.3 mm and 2.42 mm × 1.62 mm, respectively.

국내 의류 업체의 바지 그레이딩 실태 조사 (A Survey on Pants Grading of the Korean Apparel Industry)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the present condition of pants grading and the methods for the specific dimensional increments, a questionnaire has been conducted. For the questionnaire, 16 casual wear brands, which were on higher ranking of sales in Korea, were selected. The results are summarized as follows. Based on the pants grading data resulting from the research conducted on the (16) domestic clothing brands, the grading method could be classified into three different types. According to the criteria; i.e., the front and back divided by crease of pants and the deviation ratio of the grading increments of the waist and the hip girth, the grading types were (1) G1: front 5:5, back 5:5, (2) G2: front 4:6, back 4:6, and (3) G3: front 4:6, back 3:7.

  • 본 연구에서는 지금까지 단지 교통광장으로서 사용되고 있는 역전 광장들의 기능을 통하여 시민들이 적극적으로 이용할 수 있는 도시내의 시민 광장으로서의 사용 가능성을 타진하고자한다. 그 노력의 일환으로 본 연구에서는 광장에 대한 일반적인 고찰, 역전광장에 대한 현황분석, 역전광장의 물리적 환경을 분석하고 그에 따른 문제와 현황을 파악하여 도심속 시민휴식공간으로서 역전광장의 가능성을 찾는데 기초자료 추출을 목적으로 한다.

남성 팬티 전면 중앙부의 구조에 대한 연구 - 남성 팬티의 특허 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Structure of the Front Middle Part of Men's Underwear - Focusing on Analysis of Patents for Men's Underwear -)

  • This study attempted to analyze trends of structural changes in the front middle part of men's underwear and get basic data for the development of men's underwear patterns. In terms of a research method, the structure and pattern of the front middle part of men's underwear were analyzed by referring to the design and description of the drawing, focusing on men's underwear which targeted to isolate penis from scrotum among the 'men's underwear' or 'functional men's underwear'-related patents. According to the study, three topics were obtained as follows: a support attached to the inside of the front middle part; inner cloth attached to the inside of the front middle part; change in the structure of the front middle panel. The aspects by the specific topic targeted to isolate penis from scrotum and prevent the scrotum from adhered to a thigh are as follows: 1) When a support is attached to the inside of the front middle part, the following three methods are proposed: Penis isolated from scrotum by a rest which is designed using the band; penis and scrotum rested in the band and in a pocket respectively; protruded rest inside the front middle part of the underwear. 2) When an inner cloth is attached to the inside of the front middle part, the following methods are designed: A pocket-type inner cloth is attached; isolation of penis hole from the scrotum pocket using a rectangular separator; U-shaped pocket designed to rest penis and scrotum is attached. 3) Regarding change in the structure of the front middle panel, the integration of penis and scrotum resting parts can be divided into two cases: Securing a space using wrinkles; keeping it voluminous using the vertical line. In this all-in-one penis and scrotum-holding type, in addition, different front panel patterns were applied.

15-16세기 전단후장형(前短後長形) 치마의 조형적 특징과 착용양상 (The formative characteristics and wearing pattern of front-bloused-type skirts from 15th to 16th century)

  • This study focused on front-blouse-type skirts from the 15th and 16th centuries and aimed to investigate their formative characteristics and wearing patterns. Previous studies, literature, records, paintings, and excavated clothing items were used as research materials. The researcher categorized front-blouse-type skirts into three types based on the construction method. The first has the front-center portion of the skirt folded up, the second has the center portion cut short, and the third has horizontal dart pleats on either side. An examination of 48 items from 18 excavation sites of front-blouse-type skirts showed that only the front-center portion folded up type appeared in the 15th century, and it was only in the 16th century that the other forms of skirts were worn. Finally, based on the analysis, the pattern of wearing front-blouse-type skirts and their changing factors was deduced. Front-blouse-type skirts were identified as ceremonial skirts that were popular in the 15th and 16th centuries among the types of long skirts available. The popularity and usage of this type of skirt began to spread gradually in the 15th century. In the 16th century, various types of front-blouse-type skirts were brought into vogue by the royal family and the external register. It can be inferred that the popularity of front-blouse-type skirts gradually declined in the 17th century as other types of long skirts, folding skirts, and Sran type skirts emerged.
