  • Systematic and efficient Management of Development requirements will lead to success of project such as aircraft system development consisting of complex subsystem. For such reason, Requirements management tools have been used in most of project. In the case of FA-50 development project, requirements management tools have been used for systematic and efficient management of FA-50 Requirements. Especially FA-50 system was designed on the basis of the TA-50 configuration. Therefore, it needs traceability of requirements about functions, which have been already developed and will be newly developed. This paper was described about the implementation method of FA-50 development requirements traceability management.

  • Software inspection is widely believed to be an effective method for software verification and validation (V&V). However, software inspection is labor-intensive and, since it uses little technology, software inspection is viewed upon as unsuitable for a more technology-oriented development environment. Nevertheless, software inspection is gaining in popularity. KAIST Nuclear I&C and Information Engineering Laboratory (NICIEL) has developed software management and inspection support tools, collectively named "SIS-RT. "SIS-RT is designed to partially automate the software inspection processes. SIS-RT supports the analyses of traceability between a given set of specification documents. To make SIS-RT compatible for documents written in Korean, certain techniques in natural language processing have been studied [9]. Among the techniques considered, case grammar is most suitable for analyses of the Korean language [3]. In this paper, we propose a methodology that uses a case grammar approach to analyze the traceability between documents written in Korean. A discussion regarding some examples of such an analysis will follow.

  • It is very important to trace whether all the requirements has been reflected in the developed system. However, most existing researches apply Requirement Traceability Matrix(RTM) to the whole SDLC according to the development methodology. RTM has no practical value because it has not only too many pursuit items but also its tracking method is very complicated and the practical management in developing the information system is not accomplished nearly. Therefore, in this study, we proposed an enhanced RTM which was composed of only necessary items and allow us to manage the applied area effectively from Request for Proposal(RFP) or the proposal stage to SDLC stage then confirmed the effect through six actual applicable cases of information system development project of "K" company.

  • This paper will describe the design of database for system engineering of High Speed Railway Systems, focusing on tile ability to capture a full thread of traceability, from tile inception of a system requirement, to the test results that validate that the designed system meets criteria defined by the requirement. The database includes data models for requirement, function, component, work, work process, resource, etc.. These data models are utilized for tile efficient management of data related system design, development work, and validation.

  • We proposed a methodology to automatically extract the requirements from the documents and check the consistency and traceability among them. The documents include not only text but also PDF or image files. We also suggest a method to visualize the result with maps, numbers, and graphs. By comparing the results with those of manual reviews from experts, we show that it is necessary to use knowledge-based method in future instead of the wordbased method for improving the reliability. The results can be applied effectively for already existing documents.

  • The HEMU-400X project starts at 2007. It is important first of all that describing correctly system requirement during configuration of system, design, manufacturing, installation and test verification so that the complicated high-speed electric multiple unit is to run safety and reliable and to achieve target performance and function properly. The system requirement assist the system designer to understand the performance and function of system in basic design. For this process, system engineer have to manage the system requirement. This paper proposes the management contents of system requirement such as change management, requirement traceability, etc, for HEMU-400X.

  • Unlinkability and traceability are basic security requirements of a group signature scheme. In this paper, we analyze two recent group signature schemes, Lee et al.'s scheme and Zhu et al.'s scheme. We show that Lee et al,'s scheme does not work correctly. Further, it fails to meet unlinkability, that is, anyone who intercepts or receives group signatures are able to check if they are from the same signer. We also show that Zhu et al.'s scheme is unable to satisfy traceability, that is, a malicious group member can generate valid group signatures that cannot be opened. Moreover, once becoming group member, the malicious group member will never be revoked from group. Besides, Zhu et al.'s scheme fails to satisfy forward security, a requirement claimed by authors.

  • It is necessary to develop the requirement management system that could trace hazards and manage safety requirements for risk control of railway accident as low as reasonably practicable. In this paper, the requirement management system for control of railway accident risk is introduced. The requirement management system is containing the railway system configuration and safety activity related with identified hazards. The system shall be used to derive safety requirements for risk controland support the traceability of hazards on railway's operation & management. In the future, the system will be applied in the areas such as risk assessment and management, performing safety assurance and revising national regulations etc. for continuous safety improvement in the railway.

  • The weapon system applies the rule that the system engineering procedure must be applied at the acquisition stage. Naval ships, which are one of the important naval weapon systems, take a long period of time to acquire, and the leadership must be commissioned. Therefore, in order to acquire a naval ship, high risk management is necessary, and it is necessary to promote business success through effective application of system engineering which is a scientific management method. However, in the case of naval ships, there are no specific procedures and methods for applying the system engineering. Therefore, research on application method of system engineering which can be easily used by person in charge is necessary. This should have a simple approach to ensure effective business performance by systematically refining and simplifying existing works. QFD (Quality Function Deployment) is a way to improve product satisfaction, impress customers, reduce defective products, reduce design errors, and reduce costs. This systematically develops these mutual relationships by converting the needs of customers into quality characteristics of products and defining them as the design quality of products considering the functions, quality, and process elements of parts. The purpose of this research is to present concrete methodology at the practical level using QFD in a way to ensure traceability of requirements which is an important element of system engineering.

  • Traceability links are logical links between individual requirements and other system elements such as architecture descriptions, source code, and test cases. These are useful for requirements change impact analysis, requirements conflict analysis, and requirements consistency checking. However, establishing and maintaining traceability links places a big burden since complex systems have especially yield an enormous number of various artifacts. We propose a feature-oriented requirements tracing method to manage requirements with cost benefit analysis, including value consideration and intermediate catalysis using features. Our approach offers two contributions to the study of requirements tracing: (1)We introduce feature modeling as intermediate catalysis to generate traceability links between user requirements and implementation artifacts. (2)We provide value consideration with cost and efforts to identify traceability links based on prioritized requirements, thus assigning a granularity level to each feature. In this paper, we especially present the results of a case study which is carried out in Apartment Ubiquitous Platform to integrate and connect home services in an apartment complex in details.
