Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the current characteristics of outpatients with postpartum disease and provide a treatment instruction in the clinical field. Methods: To analyze characteristics of outpatients with postpartum disease, We searched medical records from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017 using Z34 (Supervision of normal pregnancy), O94 (Sequelae of complication of pregnancy), U327 (産後風) and 388 postpartum patients were analyzed. Results: 1. The general characteristics of the subjects are as follows. The average age was $33.73{\pm}3.62$ years old, 356 (91.75%) patients are full term pregnancy, 201 (51.81%) patients are first delivery, 79 (20.36%) patients had past history of abortion and 63 (16.24%) patients had past history of gynecologic disease. 2. The most subjects visited in April (10.31%). The mean duration from delivery date to visiting date was $131.5{\pm}214.6$ days. The mean number of visits after the initial visit was $1.91{\pm}1.7$. 3. The characteristics related with pregnancy and delivery are as follows. The number of subjects taken assisted reproductive technology was 19 (4.9%) and suffering from gestational disease was 28 (7.22%). The mean body weight difference between full term pregnancy and visiting date was $-8.24{\pm}3.57kg$. The number of subjects discharging lochia on visiting date was 167 (43.04%) and breastfeeding was 262 (67.53%). 4. The most chief complaint was arthralgia in 217 (55.93%) followed by general weakness, cold sensation, edema, sweating disorder, dizziness, lower abdominal pain, digestion disorder, heat sensation, defecation disorder and urination disorder. 5. The most accompanied symptom was arthralgia in 322 (82.99%), followed by sleep disorder, cold sensation, general weakness, sweating disorder, defecation disorder, edema, dizziness, digestion disorder, urination disorder, lower abdominal pain and heat sensation. 6. A total of 356 subjects were taken herbal medicine. The most prescribed herbal medicine to subjects was Gungguijohyeol-eum-gamibang (29.59%). Conclusions: These results could be helpful to diagnose and treat postpartum patients in Korean gynecologic clinical fields.
The three self-compatible, terrestrial orchids Cephalanthera erecta, C. falcata, and C. longibracteata flower synchronously in sympatric populations. Cephalanthera erecta and C. longibracteata, which have white flowers that do not fully open, are predominantly autogamous, whereas the food-deceptive C. falcata, whose bright yellow flowers open completely, is predominantly outcrossing. The formation of hybrids rarely occurs between species owing to strong prepollination barriers (floral isolation). If these three species have evolved toward the prevention of interspecific hybridization, we can expect that the spatial distribution patterns of the three species would be characterized as spatial segregation (i.e., 'spatial repulsion') from each other. To test this prediction, we studied the three Cephalanthera species in sympatric populations showing coincident flowering within Yeonwhasan Provincial Park (YPP, Gyeongsangnam Province, South Korea). We found strong spatial aggregation in each population and spatial independence in the interspecific spatial distribution, differing from previous studies. We further hypothesize that Cephalanthera species in sympatry within YPP are distributed somewhat randomly in space, perhaps due to the sharing of similar mycorrhizal fungi.

Gonad and blood samples were taken from cultured greenling (Hexagrammos otakii), and changes of steroid hormone levels in serum were examined in relation to the gonadosomatic index (GSI). GSI of female and male were not changed significantly between March and August and then began to increase from September showing the highest value in January. Hepatosomatic index (HSI) of female was the highest in December,'then decreased gradually until May. $Estradiol-l7{\beta} (E_2)$ level in blood of female reached to the highest level in December, then decreased rapidly in January. The level was maintained low until August and started to increase In September. Testosterone (T) level in blood of female was similar to trend of $E_2$ in female. $17{\alpha}2{\beta}-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one (17{\alpha}20{\brta}-OHP)$ level in blood of female reached to the maximum in January, and then decreased rapidly from Febuary and maintained low until July. T level in blood of male reached to the highest value in December, and it started to decrease from January and maintained low until July, after then increased again, while $17{\alpha}20{\beta}-OHP$ level of male was similar to trend of female's.
Purpose : These studies were undertaken to evaluate the effects of the Cynomorii Herba (CH) on the spermatogenic abilities such as the concentration, motility and morphological normality of sperm from the testis, and the activities of sperm hyaluronidase, testicular peroxidase and testicular catalase. Materials and Methods : We used the 2-month-old mice and administered 0.2ml extract solution of CH in the 0.1mg/ml, 1mg/ml, 10mg/ml and 100mg/ml once a day for 60days. The control group was administered the distilled water in the same way. After the administration of extract solution, we examined the number of total, motile and normal sperm from the cauda epididymis, the activities of sperm hyaluronidase, testicular peroxidase and testicular catalase. We observed the histological changes of isolated testis and compared to the testicular tissue especially seminiferous tubules between control and CH groups by histochemical method. Results : The concentration of total sperm and the motility of spermatozoa were significantly increased in the 1mg/ml, 10mg/ml and 100mg/ml CH groups, especially in 10mg/ml group, compared to the control group. The significant differences were observed in the normality of spermatozoa of the CH groups compared to the control group. In the histolocal analysis of the testicular tissues, the enlargement of testicular lobe diameter and apparent vasculogenesis between testicular lobes were observed in the CH groups compared to the control group. Also, the activity of hyaluronidase was significantly increased in the CH groups compared to the control group. In the antioxidant activity analysis, the activities of testicular peroxidase and testicular catalase were significantly increased in the CH groups compared to the control group, respectively. Conclusion : This study shows that CH has the beneficial effect on the concentration, morphology and motility of sperm, the activities of sperm hyaluronidase, testicular peroxidase and testicular catalase. We can suggest that CH extract solution be useful for the treatment of male sexual dysfunctions and infertility.

And we compared the testicular tissue especially seminiferous tubules between control and treated groups by histochemical methods. At the end we observed the difference of sperm hyaluronidase activities between control and treated groups. Results : The significant differences were observed in the concentration of total sperm, the motility and normality of spermatozoa of the Cynomorii Herba extract solution administered groups compared to the control group in 60 and 90 days groups. In the histological analysis of the testicular tissues, the enlargement of testicular lobe diameter and apparent vasculogenesis between testicular lobes were observed in the Cynomorii Herba extract solution administered groups compared to the control group, respectively. Also, the activity of hyaluronidase was significantly increased in the Cynomorii Herba extract solution administered groups compared to the control group. Conclusion : This study shows that Cynomorii Herba has the beneficial effect on the concentration, morphology and motility of sperm especially in 60 and 90 days administration group. We can suggest that Cynomorii Herba extract solution be useful for the treatment of male sexual dysfunctions and infertility.
Milk urea nitrogen (MUN) determination is being used an indicator of the protein-energy balance in dairy herds. A faulty balance can be corrected to optimize milk production and animal health. This parameter is regarded as a potential tool to evaluate suboptimal feeding practices and reproductive disorders. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the response of milk composition by regular feeding analysis and to compared the relationship between MUN and milk protein(MP) and fertility at the insemination period in Holstein dairy cows. Total of 355 artificial insemination (AI) for 150 Holstein cows in the herd were used to examine the relationship between MUN and MP content and conception rate. The AI occured for the cows 50 to 150 day in milk, and MUN and MP concentration were determined using automated infrared procedures. The mean${\pm}$standard deviation of MUN and MP concentration in the herd were $15.6{\pm}2.1mg/dl$ and $3.23{\pm}0.38%$, respectively. MUN contents of bulk milk were increase by elevated crude protein intake. The conception rate was lower in the cows in which the level of MUN was lower than > 8.0mg/dl (10.0%) or > higher than 25mg/dl (15.4%) relative to the cows in MUN content of 12.0~17.9 mg/dl (36.7%) at the time of insemination. Also, lower MP than 3.0% or higher MP than 3.25% were associated with a lower conception rates. Consequently, MUN and MP analyses may be used serve as a monitoring tool of protein and energy nutritional balance to improve reproduction efficiency in Holstein dairy cows.
Occurrence of soybean pod gall midge (SPGM), Asphondylia yushimai, and soybean pod damage caused by SPGM, and its control efficacy treated with ethofenprox 20EC were first observed at Miryang from 2006 to 2008 in Korea. The typical damage symptoms in soybean pod caused by SPGM were brownish coloration and malformation. By beating method occurrence of SPGM was observed from beginning bloom of soybean and its collected population increased with season until middle September. Soybean pod damage caused by SPGM was heaviest at seeding date of 10th May, followed by 11th June and 26th May. Control efficacy against SPGM sprayed with one time application of ethofenprox 20EC at different spray time in soybean reproductive stage was highest with 92.9% at R2.5, followed by 87.9% at R2 and 83.6% at R3, and was low from about 19 to 66% at other spray time. Accordingly, the most effective spray time of insecticide for control of SPGM in soybean field was found to be R2.5 which is between R2 and R3.

Experiments on the control of rockfish, Sebastes inermis reproduction were performed by artificially changed water temperature (WT) and photoperiod (PP). The experiments were divided into three conditions; artificial changes of both WT and PP delayed two months against their natural variations (Exp.I), natural WT and PP replaced with artificial light (Exp.II) and natural WT and PP (Exp.III) from September to April (220 days). Initial gonadosomatic index (GSI) in female groups of experiments was 0.2. Female GSI of responded group in Exp.I began to increase from December and reached the highest value in February with 15.0, while the un-responded group kept the lower value during the experimental period. Female GSI of Exp.II and Exp.III reached the highest values in January with 13.0 and 14.7, respectively. Male GSI of Exp,I reached the maximum in October, and that of Exp.II and III reached the maximum in November and then rapidly decreased. Among the experimental groups, male GSI did not show the different tendency. Monthly changes of hepatosomatic index in both sexes showed the reciprocal tendency with those of GSI. The control of WT and PP did not affect on the changes of HSI and condition factor of rockfish. From the histological observations, maturation of ovary was delayed by the changes of WT and PP, but that of testis was not influenced. Judging from the above results, the maturation and parturition of female rockfish could be delayed one or two months by artificial changes of WT and PP.
Reproductive cycle of Haliotis discus hannai Ino was studied based on the samples which were collected in Yeosu area from January, 1973 to December, 1974. Particular emphasis was paid on the seasonal variation of gonad maturity factor, coefficieot of gonad maturity, fatnesss, and relationship of gonad weight to growth of the abalone. seasonal fluctuation of water temperature and induction of artificial spawnings were also checked. The abalone of this area spawns twice a year: spring spawning(early May-late July) and Autumn spawning(early September-late November). peak spawning occurs from late May to middle of June for spring spawning: it occurs from late September to early November for Autumn spawning. Gonad maturity factor was closely related to the spawning seasons. For the spring spawning Gonad maturity factor reached to its maximum value as 18.84 in April; for the Autumn spawning it reached to its maximum value as 22.65 in September. Annual minimum value was 12.65 in January. Annual maximum values of coefficient of gonad maturity were 44.10 in May and 49.05 in September and the annual minimum was 10.09 in January. Fatnesswas highest in July as 0.221 and it was lowest in October as 0.1058. Ratios of shell length to gonad weight were formulated as follows : $$In\;September\;GW=0.000003710SL^{3.7860}$$$$In\;January\;GW=0.000021198SL^{2.8564}$$$$Annual\;mean\;GW=0.00000005013SL^{4.2273}$$ Relations of total weight to gonad weight were formulated as follows : In September GW=0.1918TW-4.9231 In January GW=0.0992TW-0.1759 Annual maan GW=0.1568UW-3.5256.
Sexual maturation of the bluespotted mud hopper, Boleophthalmus Pectinirostris(Linnaeus) was investigated histologically on the gonadal development, and studied by gonadosomatic index(GSI), egg diameter composition. Samples were collected in the intertidal zone of Wolyon-ri, Hoihyon-myon, Okku-gun, Chollabuk-do, Korea, from April to October in 1988 and from June to August in 1989. The ovary is a pair of sac-shaped organ. The testis is a pair of tubule-shaped organ and it is connected to the seminal vesicle which is located at the posterior end of the testis. In male and female, GSI began to increase from late May when the water temperature began to increase and reached the maximum value in June and July, respectively. It began to decrease from August, the highest water temperature season. Thereafter, maintained relatively low values until October. The annual reproductive cycle of this species could be classified into four sucessive developmental stages: growing stage$(April{\~}May)$, mature stage$(June{\~}early\;July)$, ripe and spent stage(late lune-early August), degenerative and resting stage$(late\;August{\~}March:\;the wintering\;period)$. According to the frequency distributions of egg diameters in the spawning season, Boleophthalmus Pectinirostris was species to spawn twice or more in the spawning season.
