The Semantics of amu N-to/-ilato/-ina in Korean: Arbitrary Choice and Concession

  • This paper reports the syntactic distribution of amu-N-to/-ilato/-ina phrase, which are representative polarity sensitive items. (PSIs) in Korean, and ac- counts for their semantic characteristics in therms of "arbitrary choice quantification" and "concession" In the first section, we extensively illustrate the distributional behaviour of the PSIs in various costructions and roughly generalize the distribu- tion in terms of "(anti/non-) verdicality" Section 2 claims amu denotes an arbi- trary choice quantifier and the particles -to/-ilato/-ina as "concessive" markers, so the compounds denote a special element in a pragmatic scale determined by con- text/situation, Section 3. based on the pragmatics of scalar implicature, accounts for the apparent ambiguity of PSIs between "universal"and "existential"readings and further characterizes the difference among the concessive markers -to/-ilato/-ina in terms of "quantity/ quality scale."rkers -to/-ilato/-ina in terms of "quantity/ quality scale."

폼 충진 모자단면 빔의 굽힘붕괴 특성 (Bending Collapse Characteristics of Hat Section Beam Filled with Structural Foam)

  • Design capability for high safety vehicle with light weight is crucial to enhancing competitive power in vehicle market. The structural foam can contribute to restraining section distortion in body members undergoing bending collapse at vehicle crash. In this study, first, the validation of analysis model including structural foam model for simulating fracture behavior was discussed, and the bending collapse characteristics of five representative section types were analyzed and compared. Next, with changing the laminate foam shape, load carrying capability and absorbed energy were observed. The results suggests a design strategy of body members filled with laminate foam, leading to effectively elevating bending collapse characteristics with weight increase in the minimum.

올레길 7구간의 이용객 만족도 및 이미지 분석 (The Study on the Satisfaction and Image of Passenger at Section Seven, in Olle-gil)

  • This study aimed to investigate the images that affect general travel behavior and satisfaction of eco-tourists of Section seven of Jeju Olle-gil and to give eco-tourists preferred images to newly constructed eco-tour sections. Adjectives were selected to evaluate images, and for analysis, a survey was carried out with 132 persons who have toured 7 section of Jeju Olle-gil. On this survey, basic travel type, overall satisfaction, image before and after experience, age, gender, satisfaction level and accompanying type were inquired. 81(61.4%) knew section 7 of Jeju Olle-gil 'in advance', and 58(39.1%), which takes up the largest portion in this question, came to choose section 7 by a word of mouth. 95(71.9%) answered that they stayed 2 nights and 3 days, and 55(41.7%) answered that they stayed at a pension as accommodation. As for accompanying type, 34(25.7%) answered they accompanied family and relatives. As for the decision of visit, 60(45.5%) replied that they decided one month prior to the visit. And as for the purpose of visit, 63 (33.8%) replied they visited to appreciate nature. The adjectives that demonstrate overall satisfaction and significance level of the tourists were 'placid', 'refreshing', 'living', 'mountainous' and 'green'. As for the satisfaction level, people were satisfied with its environment, cleanliness level and direction boards. The types of section preferred by the tourists were clay pavements, followed by sand-masa soil mixture pavement and wooden deck pavement. 'Oidolgae' section was selected as the representative section, and 10:00a.m.~12:00p.m. was preferred as visiting time. And it is also proved that people were positive in appointing photo zones.

연소중 미분탄의 단면관측 (Cross-section micrography of burning pulverized coal particles)

  • 본 연구에서는 미분탄의 연소과정을 파악하기 위하여 메탄-공기 예혼합 화염에서 연소중인 석탄입자를 단계별로 여러 위치에서 순간 냉각에 의해 채취한 후 단면을 관측함으로써 미분탄 연소과정의 해석을 시도하였다. 산소 함유량이 미분탄 연소에 미치는 영향을 고려하기 위하여 반응로에서의 연소 조건을 바꾸어 보았다. 또한 미분탄 연소과정의 이해를 돕기 위해 비분탄을 도가니에 넣어 전기 로에서 가열하여 얻은 챠르와 공기중에서 가열하여 얻은 회(ash)에 대한 단면을 관측하였다. 시험용 미분탄은 국내 발전소 등지에서 대량 소비되는 수입 유연탄을 사용하였다.

국도 단속류 구간에서 DSRC를 활용하여 수집한 개별차량 통행시간의 최적 수집 간격 결정 연구 (Determination of the Optimal Aggregation Interval Size of Individual Vehicle Travel Times Collected by DSRC in Interrupted Traffic Flow Section of National Highway)

  • 연구는 국도 단속류 구간에서 DSRC로 수집한 개별차량 통행시간의 대푯값 산정 시 신뢰도를 높이는 최적 수집 간격을 결정하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여, 단속류 구간에서 수집되는 가장 대표적인 개별차량 통행시간의 분포인 양봉형태의 비대칭 분포를 따르는 수집데이터를 활용하고 개별차량 통행시간의 수집 간격 크기를 변화시켜 MSE(Mean Square Error)를 추정함으로 오차가 최소가 되는 최적 수집 간격 크기를 결정한다. MSE 산정을 위한 편의 추정식은 비대칭 분포에서도 활용이 가능한 t-분포의 최대 추정 오차식을 활용하였다. 최적 수집 간격 분석을 위한 데이터 수집 간격은 단속류 구간에서 신호정지로 데이터 수집이 정상적으로 결측 되는 1-2분 수집 간격은 제외하고, 3분 이상의 수집 간격만을 대상으로 하였다. 데이터 수집 시 결측을 발생시키는 수집 간격은 결측 데이터 보정처리 과정에서 또 다른 오차를 유발하게 되어 배제하였다. 분석결과 MSE가 최소가 되는 최적 수집 간격은 3-5분이며, 통행시간 증가 시 최적 수집 간격은 3분으로 짧아짐을 확인하였다. 시스템 운영의 효율성과 통행시간 대푯값 산정의 신뢰도 향상을 모두 고려할 때 기본 수집 간격은 기존과 같이 5분으로 운영하고, 정체 시는 3분으로 수집 간격을 줄여 운영하는 것이 효과적일 것으로 사료된다.

  • In the cases of high speed railway bridge, dynamic behavior analysis is important because of high passing velocity and moving load at the regular intervals, and the damping ratio is a major element in dynamic behavior analysis. In this paper, damping ratios were estimated by two methods and vibration type sections, and relationship between estimated damping ratio and representative value of bridge vibration. At the results, estimated damping ratio using all time of vibration were more stable then using only free vibration section. And in the case of using extended Kalman filter, estimated damping ratio were trend of growth by growth of representative value of bridge vibration. At last, it was shown that study about reliabilities of estimated damping ratios were need.

철강플랜트 제어를 위한 레벨 2 미들웨어 (A Level 2 Middleware for Steel Plant Control)

  • In this paper, we proposed a level 2 middleware with common services for controlling steel plants, which is named POSMOS. POSMOS supports eight middleware services currently, but, this paper described in detail two representative services of the common services: file service and external communication service and their respective measured performance. In the experiment section, we described the performance of the two representative services and a case using our middleware which shows better response time than the existing commercial middleware by about 32%.

보디스 및 스커트원형설계시 폭결정에 관한 연구 (A study on the determination of width on designing bodice and skirt pattern)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine maximal width of bodice and skirt pattern of 50 college girls for more scientific patternmaking development in clothing construction. The body measurements data of this study was calculated by SAS, means analysis, regression analysis and T-test were used. The results are as follows. 1. The results of analyzing the whole 85 items of the entire body measurements of model are in table 2. 2. It was suggested the whole average cross section of measurement parts by rohrer index as the result of gathering the each section. 3. Representative items were suggested as fundamental parts in determining the maximal width of bodice and skirt basic pattern by rohrer index. 4. The entire abbreviated calculation formula of bodice and xkirt pattern was suggested.

변단면 하로판형교의 계획 및 설계 (The Plan & Design for Through Plate Girder Bridge of Variable Section)

  • Recently, the railroad route plan is trying to minimize the damage of the local resident which is caused by railroad construction. For this reason, reducing the banking height of soil roadbed, lowering the bridge girder height of a solid intersection and a part of cross river, the through bridge type which can achieve a required span length must apply. The representative through bridges of railroad are arch bridges, truss bridges and plate girder bridges, the through plate girder bridge of variable section can apply that the span length of these bridges is about $30{\sim}50m$, namely, middle span length bridge types, and that can satisfy structural capacity and beauty of railroad at the same time. This paper introduces plan and design process of the Su-eo cheon bridge applied by a through plate girder bridge type of the Jinju-Gwangyang double track 6th construction ordered at Korea Rail network Authority in 2005.

Performance Study of Packet Switching Multistage Interconnection Networks

  • This paper provides a performance study of multistage interconnection networks in packet switching environment. In comparison to earlier work, the model is more extensive - it includes several parameters such as multiple-packet messages, variable buffer size, and wait delay at a source. The model is also uniformly applied to several representative networks and thus provides a basis for fair comparison as well as selection of optimal values for parameters. The complexity of the model required use of simulation. However, a partial analytical model is provided to measure the congestion in a network.
