Implementation of an Image Board Remote Control System using PDA based on Embedded Linux in Wireless Internet (무선 인터넷 망에서 임베디드 리눅스 기반 PDA를 이용한 영상보드 원격 제어 시스템 구현)

  • This thesis proposed a method that connecting step motor to image send board which can acquire image to move and remote controlling via streaming image board of PDA(personal digital assistant) based on embedded Linux which is using wireless network There are three embedded Linux system to embody movable image send board. First, though the wireless network a signal of PDA is transmitted to the board which has embedded Linux and a system which is controlled by the expansion I/O port of the board. Second, it's a system streaming realtime image at a PDA which has embedded Linux. The last is a system which controls a process of image board using TCP/IP communication and image send board at PC. These are the system which can use industrial settings and homes. It can also make use of an embodiment method about travelling image robot.

  • It is possible to make a practical application for many services by using Home Networking. It's brings much improve the quality of our life. Remote control communication should be made by Home Network but present networks are generally using wireless Internet. But, this method don't use exist home and not install wireless internet. Because It need to many devices. Therefore, in this paper we implement gas valve remote control system using RPM(Radio Packet Modem). We can easily installing systems and operating. This system provide different solution for Home networking.

  • This paper proposes the new concept & design method and implementation of LonWorks network system for telemetry & remote monitoring and control in BAS. In order to apply this open system, the essential components of Lonworks is analyzed and a new concepts of its design method is proposed. In our experiment, Lonworks network system for telemetry & remote monitoring and control of lighting are designed and fabricated. As a result, it is verified that LonWorks is open, interoperable, reliable network system from the experimental results, especially, node development, network configuration & design, secure communication and MMI.

  • This paper proposes a method of a touch-based remote control and sensor information acquisition of a mobile robot using a smart phone. An application in a smart phone processes the acquired sensor information and conducts autonomous navigation. By touching the screen of the smart phone, a series of points obtained from designated curve traces are analyzed and provide control of a robot. This study develops a mobile application that acquires and handles data from a mobile robot and sends appropriate action commands through remote control using Bluetooth communication with a smart phone. The utility and performance of the proposed control scheme have been successfully verified through experimental tasks using an actual smart phone and a mobile robot.

  • A conceptual design of marine environmental information system(MEIS) for vessels running in the ocean was carried out. MEIS consists of a remote acquisition system of raw environmental data, a physical and numerical processing system of acquired raw data, and a supporting satellite communication system for data transfer. The efficiency of a remote acquisition system depends on the amount of acquired data and its real-time accessibility, while the efficiency of a data processing system is governed by the flexibility and accuracy of data analysis tools.

  • Mobile computers can process large amounts of data at high speeds, and it is feasible and easy to implement a remote monitoring system utilizing mobile computers. Because of their portability and convenience, these computers have been employed in various research areas to develop such monitoring systems. Existing monitoring system is a bit difficult to real time monitoring the scattered offshore facilities. So this paper compensate the existing system by using mobile computers such as a tablet PC-based monitoring system. Also, the scattered offshore facilities can be monitored in real-time through the tablet PC. The developed monitoring system is a fully Internet-based monitoring platform that enables one to monitor and control remote oceanic applications at any time and any place where it is possible to access the Internet. It can be applied to many oceanic applications as well as the unmanned systems and remote monitoring systems on land.

  • This paper presents a robot system that combines computer network and an autonomous mobile robot where RTOS is installed. We propose a wireless communication protocol, and also implement it on the RTOS of the robot system. Main controller of the robot processes the control program as a task type in the real-time operating system. Peripheral devices are driven by the device driver functions with the dependency of the hardware. Because the client and server program was implemented to support the multi-platforms by Java SDK and Java JMF, it is easy to analyze programs, maintain system, and correct the errors in the system. End-user can control a robot with a vision showing remote sight over the Internet in real time, and the robot is moved keeping away from the obstacles by itself and command of the server received from end-user at the local client.

  • The use of smart devices worldwide has been increasing day by day and its applications based on IoT have been also extended. But the power control system requires complicated control and processing information from the various sensors in practice. One of the best ways to save the power consumption is to manage electrical equipment individually on the Internet. In this paper, remote power control system for managing the power through the relay switch module via Python server was implemented by using Raspberry Pi. The proposed power control system can be used anywhere over the Internet.
