A Study on Tracking Control of Remote Operated Excavator for Field Robot (필드로봇용 원격 굴삭 시스템의 궤적제어에 관한 연구)

  • Hydraulic excavators are the representative of field robot and have been used in various fields of construction. Since the excavator operates in the hazardous working environment, operators of excavator are exposed in harmful environment. Therefore, the hydraulic excavator automation and remote operation system has been investigated to protect from the hazardous working environment. In this paper, remote operation excavator system is developed using the mini hydraulic excavator and the tracking control system of each links of excavator is designed. To apply the tracking control system, the adaptive sliding mode control algorithm is proposed. It is found that the performance of the proposed control system is improved through experimental results of using the remote operation excavator system.

  • This paper shows the development of remote control system for manipulators which consists of PHANToM Device as a master, Samsung FARA robot as a slave and TCP/IP based LAN fortheir Communication. This work includes the motion mapping between the master and the slave, Generation of virtual viscosity force preventing operator's unwilled action and 3D remote control simulators for the stable operation of the remote control system, etc. The remote control implementation has been performed and the results shows that the developed system can allow the operator to effectively control the manipulator.

Determining Canopy Growth Conditions of Paddy Rice via Ground-based Remote Sensing

  • This study aimed to investigate the canopy growth conditions and the accuracy of phenological stages of paddy rice using ground-based remote sensing data. Plant growth variables including Leaf Area Index (LAI) and canopy reflectance of paddy rice were measured at the experimental fields of Chonnam National University, Gwangju, Republic of Korea during the crop seasons of 2011, 2012, and 2013. LAI values were also determined based on correlations with Vegetation Indices (VIs) obtained from the canopy reflectance. Three phenological stages (tillering, booting, and grain filling) of paddy rice could be identified using VIs and a spatial index (NIR versus red). We found that exponential relationships could be applied between LAI and the VIs of interest. This information, as well as the relationships between LAI and VIs obtained in the present study, could be used to estimate and monitor the relative growth and development of rice canopies during the growing season.

  • This paper describes the remote fault monitoring system for tower parking facilities. This system consists of central station, remote monitoring equipments and communication equipments. The central station is developed under client-server architecture which composed a DB server, a fault detection client, a status collection client and a A/S client. And the remote monitoring systems are connected to central station by LAN using RAS(Remote Access Service) which is constructed PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network). This system offers real-time fault detection and status data acquisition of tower parking system.

  • 오늘날 컴퓨터 보안 분야에서는 이론적인 시스템 보호 방법뿐만 아니라 이미 침입을 당한 시스템으로 부터 침입 과정을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 문제점을 보완하고 새로운 보호 방법을 찾기도 한다. 이러한 과정은 침입 시스템에 대한 컴퓨터 포렌식이라는 과정을 거쳐 수행하게 된다. 컴퓨터 포렌식은 로그 분석부터 패킷 분석에 이르기까지 다양한 방법을 이용한다. 최근 들어 컴퓨터 포렌식을 우회하는 Remote Execute 공격방법이 발견되었는데 이 공격은 기존의 않은 포렌식 절차를 우려 화시킨다는 위험성을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 Remote Execute 공격 실험을 통하여 그 위험성을 알리고 대처방안을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 /proc/kcore 분석 및 백업 메커니즘은 Remote Execute 공격에 대한 컴퓨터 포렌식을 가능하게 한다.

This paper is intended to give the reader an introduction to the ISS utilization and the capabilities for remote sensing research that are being implemented through the development of research facilities. We hope that reader will consider what kind of payloads could be developed to take advantage of facilities, and will consider proposing remote sensing research on the ISS.

A Study on Index of Vegetation Surface Roughness using Multiangular Observation

  • A satellite remote sensing is useful for vegetation monitoring. But it has some problem. One of these, it is difficult to find a difference of vegetation surface roughness using satellite remote sensing. Each vegetation type has unique surface roughness, for example needle leaves forest, broad leaves forest and grassland. Difference of vegetation surface roughness can be detected by satellite multiangular observation. In this study, objective is to propose index of vegetation surface roughness using BRF property. General vegetation indices are calculated from nadir data of satellite data. A proposed index is calculated from two different observation zenith angle data. Two different zenith data can provide BRF (Bi-directional Reflectance Factor) property of satellite observation data. A proposed index was able to detect different value on where NDVI shows similar high value areas of rice field and forest. This index is useful for vegetation monitoring.

  • Remote Sensing Monitoring and Loss Estimated System of Flood Disaster based on GIS is an integrated system comprised flood disaster information receiving and collection, flood disaster simulation, and flood disaster estimation. When the system receives and collects remote sensing monitoring and conventional investigation information, the distributional features of flood disaster on space and time is obtained by means of image processing and information fusion. The economic loss of flood disaster can be classified into two pus: direct economic loss and indirect economic loss. The estimation of direct economic loss applies macroscopic economic analysis methods, i.e. applying Product (Industry and Agriculture Gross Product or Gross Domestic Product - GDP) or Unit Synthetic Economic Loss Index, direct economic loss can be estimated. Estimating indirect economic loss applies reduction coefficient methods with direct economic loss. The system can real-timely ascertains flood disaster and estimates flood Loss, so that the science basis fur decision-making of flood control and relieving disaster may be provided.

  • In microwave remote sensing, the Fresnel reflectance formula is widely used in the sea surface emissivity modeling. As an essential contribution to microwave remote sensing, a new formula on the Fresnel reflectance has been derived based on our understanding of the complex index of refraction and continuity condition of E-M waves at the interface between two mediums. The proposed formula can be used to obtain the emissivity of sea surface, which is useful to retrieve sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity and the brightness temperature. Considering Bragg-resonant scatter, it is useful for the calculation of the normalized radar cross-section, and the retrieval of sea surface wind either.
