화학적 표면처리가 열중합형 의치상 레진과 이장재간의 굴곡결합강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of chemical surface treatment on the flexural bond strength of heat curing denture base resin and reliners)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the chemical surface treatment on the flexural bond strength of heat curing denture base resin and reliners. Methods: Denture base resin surface was treated with MMA 95% and TEGDMA 5%, MMA 95% and silane coupling agent 5%, heat curing resin monomer. After denture reliners were injected, flexural bond strength was measured. Results: The repair resin of Vertex SC was higher than Lang, hard reliner of Kooliner was higher than Rebase. Soft reliner of Dura base and Coe-soft showed differently according to the surface treatment. The all chemical treatment groups on Vertex SC were significantly higher than control(p<0.05). In Lang group, 5% MPS treated group showed significantly higher flexural bond strength than others(p<0.05). In Kooliner group, all chemical treatment groups showed significantly higher than control(p<0.05). In Rebase group, the 5% MPS and the monomer denture base resin treated groups showed significantly higher than others(p<0.05). In Dura base group, 5% MPS treated group showed significantly higher flexural bond strength than others(p<0.05). In Coe-soft group, all treated groups were significantly higher than control group(p<0.05). Conclusion: TEGDMA, MPS, and the monomer of heat-cured denture base resin were effective to improve the bond strengths between denture base and denture relining materials. Especially, 5% MPS expected to strengthen effectively the bonding property of denture base and denture reliners within the results of this study.

의치 세정제가 의치상용 레진과 이장용 레진의 결합강도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of denture cleansers on the bond strength of reline resin to denture base resin)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of denture cleansers on the flexural bond strength of heat curing denture base resin and reliners. Methods: The denture base resin was bonded to the reliners(vertex self curing, kooliner, rebase II) to make the specimen. The specimens were immersed in denture cleansers(Polident, Cleadent) and evaluated after 1week, 3week, 5weeks. After denture reliners were injected, flexural bond strength was measured. Results: The bond strength of denture base resin and vertex self curing resin as reliner was significantly decreased at 5 weeks in cleadent and polident(p<0.05). The bond strength of kooliner and rebase II was significantly decreased at 5 weeks in denture cleaners(p<0.05). Kooliner was significantly decreased at 3 and 5 weeks in polident and rebase II was significantly decreased at 3 and 5 weeks in all denture cleansers(p<0.05). Conclusion : The flexural strength between the denture base resin and the reliners decreased significantly as the treatment time increased.

  • The dimensional stability of tissue conditioners characterizes the ability of the materials to yield accurate functional impressions of oral mucosa. This study evaluated the viscoelastic property and the linear dimensional changes with the factor of time and thickness of tissue conditioners ($COE-COMFORT^{TM}$, Visco-gel. $COE-SOFT^{TM}$, Soft-Liner). The thickness of these materials were changed (1.5mm, 3.0mm) and the percentage changes in dimension were measured at 1h, 12h, 24h, 36h, 3day, 7day after specimen preparation. From the results large differences appear between the various tissue conditioners. The results suggest that the period recommended for forming functional impression would be 2-3days after insertion in the mouth. in addition. it is important to select tissue conditioners suitable for functional impression because of the wide range of dimensional stability among the materials.

의치상 재이장재의 물리학적 성질에 관한 연구 (AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF DENTURE BASE RELINERS)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the fithness, hardness and bending strength of the conventional reliners and visible light curing reliner. Nine regions were selected in the upper transverse section which were thought to be of interest from a clinical standpoint and the discrepancies between the dentures and the master cast in these regions were determined by the coordinated measuring machine(UMM-500, Zeiss, W. Germany). The results were as follows ; 1. The experimental denture bases showed the lowest fittness at the central portion of the posterior palatal border and the intimate contact in the buccal flanges regardless of relining materials and relining methods. 2. The fittness of relined denture base was the best in autopolymerizing group and in the order of long processing, short processing and visible light curing group. 3. The fittness after 24 hour-storage in water was improved in long processing and autopolymerizing groups, but there was no significant difference. 4. The hardness was the highest in long processing group and decreased in the order of short processing, visible light curing and autopolymerizing group. 5. The bending strength was the highest in long processing group and decreased short processing, visible light curing, and aotopolymerzing group in order.

  • 본 논문은 monomer에서 결합증진에 많은 역할을 하는 MMA와 TEGDMA의 농도별 표면 처리와 silane coupling agent로 표면 처리한 것이 의치상 레진과 이장재간의 결합력에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 의치상 레진에 MMA와 TEGDMA의 농도별 표면 처리와 silane coupling agent로 표면처리 후 이장재를 주입하여 전단결합강도를 측정하였다. MMA와 TEGDMA의 농도별 표면 처리에 따른 의치상 레진과 이장재간의 전단결합강도에서는 Vertex self curing resin에서 95%, 90%, 80%, Kooliner에서는 95%, 90%에서 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 또한, silane coupling agent 5%로 표면 처리한 그룹이 Vertex self curing resin과 Kooliner 모두에서 전단결합강도가 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 따라서 적절한 화학적 표면 처리는 의치상 레진과 이장재간의 결합력 증가에 영향을 미치리라 사료된다.
