  • Currently, environment-friendly and sustainable fisheries are one of the major issues among fisheries authorities. A variety of alternative management policies and projects are going on to enhance fisheries management systems and fishery resources such as a TAC management program and a VDS (Vessel Day Scheme) management scheme for distant water fishing nations in Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) convention area. These kinds of efforts among fisheries management authorities are aimed at limiting fishing capacity or fishing power. In terms of fisheries management, Fishing capacity and fishing power have increased the importance of the impact on a fishery and level of the resources. Increased fishing capacity and fishing power have caused not only depletion of fisheries resource, but also additional fishing cost. therefore, there is a clear need for authorities to manage fishing capacity and fishing power. It is also help ensure the conservation and sustainability of the fishery resources. Because of lack of data, absolute fishing power is difficulty to measure. The notion of relative fishing power is frequently used. In this study, relative fishing power was assessed using Mastuda (1991) method for fishing power index. The raw data for assessment was based on fishermen's logbook data from sampled fishing vessels in coastal snow crab gillnet fishery. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method was used to assess fishing capacity. DEA is a linear programming methodology to measure the efficiency of a set of entities called Decision-Making Units (DMUs). It was recommended by FAO for assessing capacity in fisheries.

중간기초개념으로서 짧은 쇄석다짐말뚝의 지지력 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Bearing Capacity of Rammed Aggregate Pier as the Intermediate Foundations)

  • To secure stability and availability of Rammed Aggregate Pier method as the foundation of a structure, the bearing capacity and failure behavior characteristics was studied through soil laboratory tests in a model ground. In this study, soil laboratory tests use carried out to find the applicability of RAP method as the foundation of a structure. And bearing capacity and the failure mechanism of RAP method was studied according to relative density($60\%,\;70\%,\;90\%$), diameter(45mm, 60mm, 70mm) of each pier ana depth(5cm, l0cm, 15cm, 20cm, 25cm, 30cm). Earth pressure cell is set up approach RAP and 1.0D space at RAP center. Bearing acpacity and the failure mechanism of RAP is investigated by load test As a result, bulging failure was happened in $5\~10cm\;(1.0D\~2.00)$ depth which the maximum lateral earth pressure is acting. Especially, diameter changing of RAP are in inverse proportion to the relative density and the lateral stress is very much influenced by the lateral earth pressure in every layer and tends to decrease according to depth.

지반조건의 변화가 개단강관말뚝의 거동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Soil Conditions on the Behavior of Open -Ended Steel Pipe Pile)

  • 지반조건이 개단강관말뚝의 거동에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 응력상태와 상대밀도의 조절이 가능한 토조내에 포설된 모래지반에서 모형말뚝실험이 수행되었다. 모형말뚝은 개단강관 말뚝의 각 부분에 작용하는 지지력을 분리측정하기 위하여 직경이 다른 두개의 파이프로 만들어졌다. 실험결과에 의하면 모래지반에 타입된 개단말뚝의 폐색정도와 관입저항력은 지반의 수직응력보다는 수평응력과 상대밀도에 의하여 좌우되었으며, 관내토지지력과 외주면마찰력, 그리고 전체 지지력도 수직응력보다는 수평응력과 상대밀도에 의하여 주로 영향받는 것으로 나타났다. 또 한 말뚝 외벽에 작용하는 수평응력은 원지반의 응력상태와는 관계없이 조밀한 지반의 경우에는 원지반의 수평응력보다 크게, 보통상태의 지반에서는 원지반과 비슷하게, 그리고 매우 느슨한 지반에서는 원지반보다 작게 측정되었다. 원지반의 수평응력에 대한 말뚝 설치후의 말뚝 외벽에 작용하는 수평응력의 비는 주어진 모래지반의 경우 원지반의 수평응력과 관계없이 상대밀도에 따라 일정한 값으로 나타났다.

  • The laboratory tests on geogrid-reinforced sand were conducted with considering embedment effect. The relative densities of sand are 60% and 80%, respectively. The embedment depths of foundation were varied as D$\_$f/B=0, 0.5, 1.0. Based on the model test results, (u/B)$\_$cr/, BCR$\_$u/, and (b/B)$\_$cr/, were determined. The optimum depth of reinforcement was determined. The embedment depth of foundation is greatly contributed on the bearing capacity of geogrid-reinforced sand.

핀-관, 평행류 열교환기를 적용한 공조기의 냉방성능 실험연구 (Experimental Study on Cooling Performance of A/C applied Fin-tube and PF Heat Exchangers)

  • 본 연구에서는 핀-관 열교환기와 평행류(PF) 열교환기를 실외 열교환기로 적용한 공조기의 실내외 온도/습도와 같은 환경변화에 대한 냉방성능을 비교 조사하고자 하였다. KS C 9306의 냉방표준 온도조건을 기준으로 핀-관, 2종류의 PF 열교환기를 적용한 공조기 성능변화를 이해하기 위하여 냉방능력과 COP를 획득하였다. 실험을 위해 공기엔탈피 방식의 칼로리미터를 사용하였다. PF 열교환기는 핀-관 열교환기보다 우수한 열전달 능력을 보였다. 그리고 사각형 핀을 적용한 PF형 공조기의 성능이 삼각형 핀의 경우보다 우수하였다. 실내 토출공기의 유속, 실내온도 그리고 실내상대습도가 높아질수록 냉방능력과 COP는 증가를, 실외온도가 높아질수록 냉방능력과 COP는 감소를, 그러나 실외 상대습도 증가에 따른 성능변화는 미미하였다.

아세트산을 조절인자로 제작한 크롬 기반 금속유기골격체의 diisopropyl methyl phosphonate 흡착 특성 연구 (A Study on the Adsorption Properties of Diisopropyl Methyl Phosphonate on Chromium-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks Using Acetic Acid as a Modulator)

  • 크롬 기반 금속유기골격체(MIL-101(Cr))를 제조하고 이들을 활용한 유사화학작용제 diisopropyl methyl phosphonate(DIMP) 흡착 실험을 통해 방독면 정화통이나 보호의 충진물질로서 활용 가능성을 평가하였다. MIL-101(Cr)은 조절인자로 아세트산(MIL-101(Cr)-A)과 수산화나트륨(MIL-101(Cr)-N)을 활용하여 각각 제작하였는데, 아세트산을 조절인자로 사용하였을 때 보다 넓은 비표면적과 높은 DIMP 흡착량을 보였다. MIL-101(Cr)-A는 상대습도 90% 환경에서 10일 동안 노출 시 흡착제 무게 대비 약 160%의 수분을 흡수하여 활성탄 등 다른 흡착제와 비교할 때 흡수율이 높았다. MIL-101(Cr)-A를 상대습도 90% 환경에서 일정기간 노출한 시료에 대한 DIMP 흡착량 실험 결과 24시간 이후에는 노출되지 않았을 때 흡착량의 약 40% 수준으로 감소하였으나, 이 흡착량은 상용 방독면 정화통 충진 활성탄과 비교하였을 때 여전히 높은 흡착량으로 추후 방독면 정화통이나 보호의 충진물질로서 활용가능성이 높은 것으로 판단된다.

Lateral capacity of piles in layered soil: a simple approach

  • Appropriate assessment of lateral capacity of pile foundation is known to be a complex problem involving soil-structure interaction. Having reviewed the available methods in brief, relative paucity of simple and rational technique to evaluate lateral capacity of pile in layered soil is identified. In this context, two efficient approaches for the assessment of lateral capacity of short pile embedded in bi-layer cohesive deposit is developed. It is presumed that the allowable lateral capacity of short pile is generally dictated by the permissible lateral displacement within which pile-soil system may be assumed to be elastic. The applicability of the scheme, depicted through illustration, is believed to be of ample help at least for practical purpose.

폐색정도를 고려한 개단말뚝의 지지력 산정 (Estimation of Bearing Capacity for Open-Ended Pile Considering Soil Plugging)

  • The bearing capacity of open-ended piles is affected by the degree of soil plugging, which is quantified by the IFR. There is not at present a design criterion for open-ended piles that explicitly considers the effect of IFR on pile load capacity In order to investigate this effect, model pile load tests using a calibration chamber were conducted on instrumented open-ended piles. The results of these tests show that the IFR increases with increasing relative density and increasing horizontal stress of soils. The unit base and shaft resistances decrease with increasing IFR. Based on the results of the model pile tests, new empirical relations for base load capacity and shaft load capacity of open-ended piles are proposed. In order to check the accuracy of predictions made with the proposed equations, the equations were applied to the full-scale pile load test preformed in this study, Based on the comparisons with the pile load test results, the proposed equations appear to produce satisfactory predictions.

Reinforcement layout design for deep beam based on BESO of multi-level reinforcement diameter under discrete model

  • By presetting various reinforcement diameters in topology optimization with the discrete model finite element analysis, an algorithm of bidirectional evolutionary structural optimization of multi-level reinforcement diameter is presented to obtain the optimal reinforcement topologies which describe the degree of stress of different parts. The results of a comparative study on different reinforcement feasible domain demonstrate that the more angle types of reinforcement are arranged in the initial domain, the higher utilization rate of reinforcement of the optimal topology becomes. According to the nonlinear finite element analysis of some deep beam examples, the ones designed with the optimization results have a certain advantage in ultimate bearing capacity, although their failure modes are greatly affected by the reinforcement feasible domain. Furthermore, the bearing capacity can be improved when constructional reinforcements are added in the subsequent design. However the adding would change the relative magnitude of the bearing capacity between the normal and inclined section, or the relative magnitude between the flexural and shear capacity within the inclined section, which affects the failure modes of components. Meanwhile, the adding would reduce the deformation capacity of the components as well. It is suggested that the inclined reinforcement and the constructional reinforcement should be added properly to ensure a desired ductile failure mode for components.
