본 연구는 아버지의 거부적 양육태도와 공동체 의식, 유아의 인성 간의 관계를 밝히고, 아버지의 거부적 양육태도와 유아의 인성 간의 관계에 아버지의 공동체 의식이 매개 효과가 있는지를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시에 소재한 유치원에 재원중인 만 4세와 5세 유아 207명과 그 아버지 207명으로 조사된 자료는 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 아버지의 거부적 양육태도와 공동체 의식, 그리고 유아의 인성을 유아의 성과 연령에 따라 차이가 있는지를 살펴본 결과 유의한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 유아의 인성은 아버지의 거부적 양육태도와는 부적 상관이, 아버지의 공동체 의식과는 정적 상관이 있었다. 셋째, 부모의 거부적 양육태도가 유아의 인성에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 아버지의 공동체 의식이 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유아기 자녀의 인성은 아버지의 공동체 의식과 밀접한 관계가 있으며 거부적인 양육태도를 가진 아버지라도 공동체 의식수준이 높으면 유아기 자녀의 인성에 긍정적 영향을 준다는 점을 시사하고 있다.

Objective: The gold of this study is to identify the correlation between mothers' rejective parenting attitude and children's humanity and adaptation to educational institutions, as well as to find out whether children's humanity could act as a mediating effect against mothers' rejective parenting attitude in the process of children's adapting to the institutions. Methods: The study was conducted on 259 children aged 4 to 5 and their mothers. The collected data were used to conduct Pearson correlation coefficient, Three-step mediated regression analysis, and the Sobel test using the SPSS 20.0 program. Results: First, children's institutional adaptability had a significant negative correlation only with 'mother's hostility'. Children's humanity had a significant positive correlation with their institutional adaptability. Second, mothers' hostile attitude had a direct or indirect impact on children's institutional adaptability. Conclusion/Implications: The results above suggest that children's good humanity and parents' friendly attitude are important in children's institutional adaptability.

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between patterns of children's requestive strategies, mother's child rearing attitude, and verbal control style. Subjects consisted of 60 5-year-old children and their mothers at preschool in Seoul. The children's requesting behavior were observed during self-selected activities in preschool. A sample of mothers of children completed the questionnaire. The result showed that the children in this study were likely to use more frequent directives of requestive strategies. Boys tended to use more indirect requestive strategies, especially demand with requestive tag. Mothers were likely to use position-oriented verbal control. Warmth and self-control of parenting and person-oriented verbal control were positively related to indirect requestive strategy of children. Rejective and controlling parenting were negatively associated with indirect requestive strategy. Position-oriented verbal control was positively related to direct requestive strategy of children.
