하나 걸른 행과 연결된 이중층 셔플넷 토폴로지를 이용한 광 Wide-Area 네트워크 설계 (Design of a Wide-Area Optical Network using Asymmetric Bilayered ShuffleNet)

  • 규칙적인 가상 연결방법을 이용하면 노드에서 라우팅을 위한 프로세싱 시간이 단축되어 고속의 네트워크에 적용이 가능하다. 규칙적인 가상 연결방법의 하나인 셔플넷은 일반적으로 p개의 연결이 다른 노드들과 이루어진다. 그러나 우리가 제안한 하나 걸른 행과 연결된 이중층 셔플넷 토폴로지를 이용하면 2p개의 노드들과 동시에 연결되므로 더욱 효과적인 광역 통신망에 적용할 수 있다. 이 하나 걸른 행과 연결된 이중층 셔플넷 토폴로지를 이용하여 물리적 토폴로지에 가상 토폴로지를 imbedding하는 방법을 본 논문에서 연구하였다. 전체 지연 시간을 최소화하는 것을 목표로 네트워크를 최적화하였다.

  • Critical infrastructure (CI) such as the electrical grid, transportation systems and water resource systems are controlled by Industrial Control and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) networks. During the last few years, cyber attackers have increasingly targeted such CI systems. This is of great concern because successful attacks have wide ranging impact and can cause widespread destruction and loss of life. As a result, there is a critical requirement to develop enhanced algorithms and tools to detect cyber threats for SCADA networks. Such tools have key differences with the tools utilized to detect cyber threats in regular IT networks. This paper discusses key factors which differentiate network security for SCADA networks versus regular IT networks. The paper also presents various approaches used for SCADA security and some of the advancements in the area.

  • The wavelet transform chip is implemented with Daubechies' 4 tap filter. It works at 20MHz in Field Programmable Gate array (FPGA) implementation of Quadrature Mirror Filter(QMF) Lattice Structure. In this paper, the structure contains taro-channel quadrature mirror filter, data format converter(DFC), delay control unit(DCU), and three 20$\times$8 bits real multiplier. The structures for the DFC and DCU need to he regular and scalable, require minimum number of regular, and thereby lead to an efficient and scalable architecture for the Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT). These results present the possibility that it can be used in Digital Signal Processing(DSP) application faster than Fourier transform at small area with lour cost.

  • 본 연구에서는 지형을 Rendering 기법의 대표적인 방법인 Geometry Clipmaps와 ROAM 2.0을 분석하여 Rendering 연산에 소요되는 연산을 CPU가 아닌 GPU에 중점을 두어 보다 빠르고 넓은 가시화 영역을 보장하는 확장된 Geometry Clipmaps 알고리즘을 제안한다. 확장된 알고리즘은 LOD(Level of Detail)을 통한 각 레벨의 Mesh 구성 방법, 레벨간의 연결망 Mesh 구성 방법, VFC(View Frustum Culling)을 사용하여 Rendering을 최적화 할 수 있는 Mesh Block화 방안 그리고 최대 1m 해상도를 갖는 고해상도 영상 Mapping 방안 등을 포함하고 있다.

  • A system for evaluating streamflow data (KORSAS) was developed, and is operated using PC based Windows to help the hydrological observation practitioner's working in Korea Water Resources Corporation (KOWACO). This system has modules including; DB access and data management, flow measurement arranging, H-Q relation deriving, area rainfall calculating, flow calculating, and flow evaluating modules. Evaluation of observed streamflow is accomplished through the following processes. First, hourly streamflow data is calculated from water level data stored in a DB server by applying the rating relationship between water level and flow rates derived from the past flow measurements. Second, hourly areal rainfal data is calculated from point data stored in the DB server by applying Thiessen networks. Third, hydrographs are displayed on a daily, weekly, monthly, or seasonal duration basis, and are compared to hydrographs of reservoir inflow, hydrographs at water level observation stations and hydrographs derived from simulated results using models.

  • 본 연구는 인장력을 받는 인장이음의 응력분포 및 인장파괴거동의 결과를 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 이음부의 볼트 배열방식은 정열배치와 엇모배치를 사용하였다. 실험값의 검증을 위해서 유한요소 해석을 실시하여 응력분포패턴을 파악하였다. 인장실험을 통해서 이음재의 항복 및 최대인장응력, 응력의 분포비, 유효단면적의 검토를 비교하여 차이점을 분석하여 보았다.

Mixed Micellization of Anionic Ammonium Dodecyl Sulfate and

  • In aqueous mixtures of cationic OTAC (octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride) and anionic ADS (ammonium dodecyl sulfate) surfactants, mixed micelles were formed at low (< 0.2 wt %) total surfactant concentrations. For these mixtures mixed micelliza tion and interaction of surfactant molecules were examined. Mixed critical micelle concentration (CMC), thermodynamic potentials of micellization, and minimum area per surfactant molecule at the interface were obtained from surface tensiometry and electrical conductometry. The mixed micellar compositions and the estimation of interacting forces were determined on the basis of a regular solution model. The CMCs were reduced, although not substantial, and synergistic behavior of the ADS and OTAC in the mixed micelles was observed. The CMC reductions in this anionic/cationic system were comparable to those in nonionic/anionic surfactant systems. The interaction parameter $\beta$ of the regular solution model was estimated to be -5 and this negative value of $\beta$ indicated an overall attractive force in the mixed state.

배골형단면(背骨型斷面) 주상체(柱狀體)의 좌우동요(左右動搖)에 있어서의 동유체역학적(動流體力學的) 힘에 관하여 (Hydrodynamic Forces produced by the Swaying Oscillation of Cylinders with Chine Sections on the Free Surface.)

  • Hydrodynamic forces and moments produced by the swaying oscillation on the free surface were exactly calculated by Ursell-Tasai method for the cylinders with Kim's chine form sections and the sway responses of the cylinders of those chine form sections among the regular beam sea were also calculated. The results of the computation were compared with those of Lewis form sections. It is concluded that the effects of the section form on the added mass, and damping are small, if the section forms had same beam-draft ratio and sectional area coefficient in the case of sway motion. It is also known that the above little effects of section shapes on the basic hydrodynamic forces do not effect on the sway motion responses of cylinderical bodies among the regular beam sea. The sway motion responses of cylinderical bodies are varied linearly with the wave numbers.

Reclamation of Desert with Regular Application of Waste Water

  • Deserts around the world mostly do not have plants and are ever- expanding their area each year. There is shortage of food and prevalent hunger around the world mostly in the African countries that have desert. The waste water is not properly managed in those places and it causes disease outbreaks. So, the problems of desertification, waste water management and hunger have to be addressed by the world community. This thesis work tries to explore a possibility of reclamation of deserts with regular application of waste water. The results obtained from a four months long test are very encouraging and it can be easily concluded that the deserts can be reclaimed by application of waste water and it will relieve the desert community from the burden of costly treatment of waste water as well. In turn, they will, to some extent, get rid of water borne diseases and the reclaimed land could be used in future to produce more food to feed the hungry community- positively impacting directly to food security of the focused community.

Effect of internal angles between limbs of cross plan shaped tall building under wind load

  • The present study revealed comparison the pressure distribution on the surfaces of regular cross plan shaped building with angular cross plan shaped building which is being transformed from basic cross plan shaped building through the variation of internal angles between limbs by $15^{\circ}$ for various wind incidence angle from $0^{\circ}$ to $180^{\circ}$ at an interval of $30^{\circ}$. In order to maintain the area same the limbs sizes are slightly increased accordingly. Numerical analysis has been carried out to generate similar nature of flow condition as per IS: 875 (Part -III):1987 (a mean wind velocity of 10 m/s) by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with help of ANSYS CFX ($k-{\varepsilon}$ model). The variation of mean pressure coefficients, pressure distribution over the surface, flow pattern and force coefficient are evaluated for each cases and represented graphically to understand extent of nonconformities due to such angular modifications in plan. Finally regular cross shaped building results are compared with wind tunnel results obtained from similar '+' shaped building study with similar flow condition. Reduction in along wind force coefficients for angular crossed shaped building, observed for various skew angles leads to develop lesser along wind force on building compared to regular crossed shaped building and square plan shaped building. Interference effect within the internal faces are observed in particular faces of building for both cases, considerably. Significant deviation is noticed in wind induced responses for angular cross building compared to regular cross shaped building for different direction wind flow.
