Purpose - The effect of regional culture has been acknowledged for decades. However, very little research takes it as an important issue in the medical tourism service decision process. This study focuses on regional culture to identify customers' preference for medical tourism in the international environment. It is proposed that regional culture may work as an critical moderator in the international medical tourism destination choice process. Especially, the destination attributes may vary according to regional culture. Research design, data, and methodology - By the questionnaire survey, the sample is collected from 2,041 potential Chinese residents in different regions of China. Regression analysis is constructed to test the effect of regional culture on Chinese customers' destination preference. Results - Results imply that regional culture plays a critical moderating role in the destination choice process. Results also indicate that destination attributes including medicine and travel characteristics are the important predictors of destination preference. Conclusions - This study provides the fundamental base to use regional culture as a descriptive variable for segmentation when establishing an effective marketing strategy. Furthermore, this research suggests that different strategies relied on destination attributes should be made to attract more Chinese customers for the development of medical tourism industry.

본 연구는 개정된 새 도서관법에 의한 지역대표도서관의 역할 규명을 위한 것으로, 특정 지역을 선정하여 그 지역대표도서관이 해당 지역 공공도서관 발전 도모를 위해 필요한 역할을 중심으로 진행되었다. 연구에서는 지역대표도서관의 본질적 기능과 해당 지역의 현장 사서들의 인식 및 환경적 요인을 바탕으로 하여 지원적 역할과 협력적 역할을 찾고자 하였다. 그 결과 협력적 역할로는 5개 지역의 특성화된 지역거점도서관의 활용으로, 지원적 역할로는 전북지역 지식정보원의 구축에 의한 교육 및 문화행사의 지원 등을 도모하도록 한다.

본 연구는 1990년대 이후에 나타난 중앙정부 지역정책의 패러다임 변화를 논의하였다. 특히, 지역정책의 발상지인 영국에서 1928년부터 2000년대까지 전개되어온 중앙정부의 지역정책 변화를 살펴보되 최근 10년간의 동향에 초점을 맞추었다. 최근 10년간의 주요 변화는 지역격차 완화를 위해 규제와 지원을 통해 산업과 인구의 공간분포를 변형시키고자 하는 중앙정부의 개입주의적인 하향식 지역정책이 지역경쟁력 강화와 그것을 위한 지역발전의 분권화를 추진하는 지역정책으로 전환하고 있다는 것이다. 그리고 그러한 전환 속에서도 영국 중앙정부는 지역격차 완화를 계속 추구해오고 있다. 또한 본고는 영국 중앙정부의 지역정책 변화가 대내외 환경 변화 속에서 우리나라 중앙정부의 향후 지역정책 방향 설정에 던져주는 시사점을 제시하였다.

Purpose: Regional gaps and conflicts between regions due to Korea's economic development and industrialization have become important issues, and the issue of balanced regional development at regional level has been discussed as the size of the region has increased recently. Although evaluation of regional balance was attempted through various regional balanced development indexes, it is inappropriate as a standard for determining regional balance in Seoul. Therefore, this study aims to develop objective evaluation methodologies and evaluation indicators for balanced development of administrative districts in Seoul, not existing city and national units. Methods: We looked at existing regional balanced development indexes, and suggested a new regional balanced index reflecting regional development, backwardness, and spatial characteristics in Seoul using factor analysis. Results: As a result of factor analysis, the regional balanced development index for administrative districts and administrative dongs consists of two factors (regional revitalization, financial power) and three factors (commercial density, social security demand, regional retardness), respectively. Then the regional balanced development index scores for 116 administrative districts and 423 administrative dongs are calculated by multiplying each factor by a weight obtained through experts' survey. Conclusion: The proposed regional balanced development index can be used as an objective and quantitative basis for regional balanced development within a city. Further research may include continuously adding new indicators that reflect the direction and scale of development.

The propose of this paper is to study a theory on the research of mountain village region in korea of globalization age. The theory of this study is over-depopulation region study, endogenous regional development theory and resident organization, localities and new regional studies The case of over-depopulation region study, which population and land use of mountain village region due to urbanization and industrialization are changed by external factors. However, the case of some region is changed by internal factors of community residents. The endogenous regional development theory and have approached by investment policy of authorities of the mountain village region development and resident organization. The development of mountain village region have to described simultaneously both behavior strategy of community residents and investment policy of the authorities. According to localities and new regional studies, which agricultural products of mountain village region is extended to big-scale city by the progress transportation-communication and globalzation So, the research of mountain village region have to explained together intra with inter region. In the future, the research of mountain village region has to described all of case of over-depopulation region study, endogenous regional development theory, localities and new regional studies.

Purpose of this study was to examine economic contributions to regional economic of home-based family businesses. Results showed that home-based family businesses create additional employments within the region, contribute to taxation of the regional economy, and improve regional financing. In addition, home-based family businesses do contribute to regional economy through consuming goods and services within the region and providing goods and services to the region. Through analyzing economic contributions to regional economy of home-based family businesses, it can be suggested that strong support for the home-based family businesses is needed for growth of the regional economy.

This paper analyzes: (1) the effects of the population growth in the regions in which the campuses are located (2) the economic effects (3) the social and cultural effects 94) the linkage effects between university and regional community. It is found that the campuses have various effects on the regional community through the human capitals, economic and cultural factors, and educational program. In particular local campuses have substantial impacts on regional economy. Two local campuses have been found to have more regional income effects than manufacturing and service industries do. Thus, it is necessary that the growth of linkage mechanism with universities and induced consumption expenditure by universities should be constructed in the region having local campuses. In order to increase these effects on regional development, much attention should be given to the regional development aspect from university authorities, students, professors, and residents. Also from the national policy point associated with material-moving policy and capital mobility policy in relation to the universities should be estabilished.

This study was designed to develop and validate an isocratic reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic(HPLC) method for the quantitation of sobrerol in drug preparations, and obtain the data pool that can be used in the revision of pharmacopoeia. The separation of sobrerol and the other compounds (S-carboxymethylcysteine, acetaminophen, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, and sobrerol degradants) was achieved in a C18 column with an acetonitrile-methanol-water(24.5:10.5:65.0) mobile phase. 본 연구는 공간적 범위가 다른 지역 간 개발격차를 파악하기 위해 산업조직론의 집중지수를 활용하여 실증적으로 분석하고 이를 통한 정책적 시사점 제안한다. 연구의 범위는 2000년대부터 현재까지 지속적으로 해당 산업을 육성해 온 충청북도 11개 시·군이며, 선행연구 고찰을 통해 지역개발격차지수 이론을 기반으로 상위기업집중률과 허핀달 지수를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구대상은 전국 지자체가 경쟁적으로 육성 의지를 표명하고 있는 바이오헬스산업으로 대상지의 시·군경쟁력강화산업 결과를 기반으로 4개의 세부분야(제약, 의료기기, 건강기능식품, 화장품)로 나누어 연구를 수행하였다. 세부분야별 매출액, 종사자수, 연구개발비를 기준으로 분석한 지역개발격차지수 결과에 따라 지역별로 강점이 다른 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이 결과를 통해 향후 지역별 차별화된 산업육성 전략을 수립하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있는 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다.

혁신도시 건설이 자립형 지방화를 통한 국가경쟁력 강화라는 방향성에서 지역전략산업 중심의 연계방안 마련이 핵심적 과제가 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 경북 혁신도시를 사례로 혁신도시와 연계한 경북의 지역전략산업 중심의 산학연계 구축방안 모색을 통하여 지역산업 육성전략을 제시하고자 한다. 이전공공기관과 지역산업간 연계분석과 지역전략산업 중심의 혁신도시 연계방안을 제시하였다. 연계방안에서는 경북의 전략 및 선도산업인 전자정보기기, 신소재부품, 생물한방 문화관광, 친환경에너지 등의 산업별 특성에 기반한 클러스터 구축방안을 제시하였다. IT BT산업과 같이 기술발전 속도가 빠른 산업분야의 경우 구미 혁신클러스터 추진단 및 경북지역 주요 혁신지원기관과 연계한 관련 주체간 지리적 인접을 통한 상호 연계협력이 필요하며, 자동차부품 기계 철강산업과 같은 성숙 기술분야는 기존 클러스터의 육성을 위한 교통 물류지원 등 인프라 강화가 핵심과제이다. 경제권의 광역화와 광역클러스터화에 따른 광역경제권 단위의 산업클러스터 육성도 새로운 과제이다.
