  • 본 논문은 초고속 비행체의 특정 위치에 정압력을 측정하여 속도, 받음각 등 유동 데이터를 효과적으로 획득할 수 있는 유동 데이터 획득 및 처리 알고리즘에 대해 제시하였다. 기존의 공기 유동데이터 획득시스템과는 다르게 센서 여유(redundancy) 및 오류 검출 기능을 지니고 있으며 전산유동해석(CFD)을 통해 미리 획득한 데이터를 적용한 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 상용 프로그램인 매트랩 및 시뮬링크를 사용하여 알고리즘에 대해 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we develop a dual-duplex system which detects a fault by hardware comparator and switches to hot standby redundancy. This system is designed on the basis of MC68000 and can be used in VMEbus. To improve reliability, the dual-duplex system is designed in dual modular redundancy. The failure rate of electrical element is calculated in MILSPEC-217F, and the system RAMS(Reliability, Availiability, Maintainability and Safety) and MTTF(Mean Time to Failure) are evaluated by Markov modeling method. As the evaluation result shows improved reliability, it can be used as a component hardware for a highly reliable control system.

  • This paper suggests a new coding method for the parallel machine which compresses the data be reducing redundancy. Paral-lel Dynamic octal Compact Mapping (PDOCM) compresses at least 1 byte per word compared with other coding techniques and achieves a 54. 188-fold speedup with 64 processors to transmit 10 million charac-ters.

새로운 무손실 유니버셜 데이터 압축 기법 (A New Method of Lossless Universal Data Compression)

  • In this paper, we propose a new algorithm that improves the lossless data compression rate. The proposed algorithm lessens the redundancy and improves the compression rate evolutionarily around 40 up to 80 percentile depending on the characteristics of binary images used for compression. In order to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method, the comparison between the proposed method and the LZ78 (LZ77) is demonstrated through experimental results theoretical analysis.

  • This study is concerned with developing a hybrid heuristic algorithm for solving the redundancy optimization problem which is very important in system safety, This study develops a HH(Hybrid Heuristic) method combined with two strategies to alleviate the risks of being trapped at a local optimum. One of them is to construct the populations of the initial solutions randomly. The other is the additional search with SA(Simulated Annealing) method in final step. Computational results indicate that HH performs consistently better than the KY method proposed in Kim[8]. Therefore, the proposed HH is believed to an attractive to other heuristic methods.

  • An efficient dynamic control algorithm that outperforms existing local torque optimization techniques for redundant manipulators is presented. The method resolves redundancy at the acceleration level. In this method, a systematic switching technique as a trade-off means between local torque optimization and global stability is proposed based on the stability condition proposed by Maciejewski [1]. Comparative simulations on a three-link planar arm show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 일반적으로 컬러 필터 배열(Color Filter Array: CFA)로부터 획득된 영상은 디모자이킹(demosaicking) 과정을 통해 소실된 컬러 정보를 복원한 후 압축을 수행하므로 데이터의 중복성(redundancy)이 발생한다. 따라서 부호화기에서 보간 과정 없이 압축을 수행하고 복호화기에서 복원된 영상을 보간하는 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 기존 방법이 전처리 과정에서 영상을 GBR 또는 YUV 4:2:2 형식으로 변환하는 반면, 본 논문에서는 YCoCg 4:2:2 형식의 변환 방법을 거쳐 압축을 수행한다. 또한 영상의 G성분의 샘플링 위치를 고려하여 휘도 성분의 H.264 화면 내 예측기의 방향성 및 참조 픽셀을 변경하여 적용하였다. 제안 방법은 기존 H.264 YUV4:2:0 인트라 예측 방법과 비교하여 평균적으로 3.91%의 비트율 감소와 0.04dB의 PSNR 증가를 보여준다.

Optimal sensor placement for bridge damage detection using deflection influence line

  • Sensor placement is a crucial aspect of bridge health monitoring (BHM) dedicated to accurately estimate and locate structural damages. In addressing this goal, a sensor placement framework based on the deflection influence line (DIL) analysis is here proposed, for the optimal design of damage detection-oriented BHM system. In order to improve damage detection accuracy, we explore the change of global stiffness matrix, damage coefficient matrix and DIL vector caused by structural damage, and thus develop a novel sensor placement framework based on the Fisher information matrix. Our approach seeks to determine the contribution of each sensing node to damage detection, and adopts a distance correction coefficient to eliminate the information redundancy among sensors. The proposed damage detection-oriented optimal sensor placement (OSP) method is verified by two examples: (1) a numerically simulated three-span continuous beam, and (2) the Pinghu bridge which has existing real damage conditions. These two examples verify the performance of the distance corrected damage sensitivity of influence line (DSIL) method in significantly higher contribution to damage detection and lower information redundancy, and demonstrate the proposed OSP framework can be potentially employed in BHM practices.

다중기기 취약도곡선의 지진상관계수 조합 절차 (Combination Procedure for Seismic Correlation Coefficient in Fragility Curves of Multiple Components)

  • For the important safety system, two or more units of identical equipment or redundant components with similar function were installed to prevent abnormal failure. If the failure probability of such equipment is independent, this redundancy could increase the system safety remarkably. However, if the failure of each component is highly correlated by installing in a structure or experiencing an earthquake event, the expected redundancy effect will decrease. Therefore, the seismic correlation of the equipment should be evaluated quantitatively for the seismic probabilistic safety assessment. The correlation effect can be explained in the procedure of constructing fragility curves. In this study, several methodologies to quantify the seismic correlation in the failure probability calculation for multiple components were reviewed and two possible ways considering the realistic situation were selected. Simple examples were tested to check the applicability of these methods. The conversion method between these two methods was suggested to render the evaluation using the advantages of each method possible.

  • This study is concerned with developing a heuristic algorithm for solving a class of ninlinear integer programs(NLIP). Exact algrithm for solving a NLIP either may not exist, or may take an unrealistically large amount of computing time. This study develops a new heuristic, the Excursion Algorithm(EA), for solving a class of NLIP's. It turns out that excursions over a bounded feasible and/or infeasible region is effective in alleviation the risks of being trapped at a lical optimum. The developed EA is applied to the redundancy optimization problems for improving the system safety, and is compared with other existing heuristic methods. We also include simulated annealing(SA) method in the comparision experiment due to ist populatrity for solving complex combinatorial problems. Computational results indicate that the proposed EA performs consistently better than the other in terms of solution quality, with moderate increase in computing time. Therefore, the proposed EA is believed to be an attractive alternative to other heuristic methods.
