  • Apparent washout of T1-201 may occur between redistribution and reinjection images. To examine the frequency of it, we prospectively compared 4-hour redistribution and reinjection images in 63 consequent patients. All patients underwent pharmacological stress test using 0.56 mg/kg dipyridamole. Immediately after the 4-hour redistribution images, 1 mCi T1-201 was injected at rest, and images were reacquired 10 minutes after reinjection. The stress, redistribution, and reinjection images were then analyzed semiquantitatively (0=no uptake, 1=faint uptake, 2=mildly diminished uptake, 3=normal uptake). Of the 100 abnormal myocardial regions on the stress images, 54 showed either complete or partial reversibility on 4-hour redistribution images. After reinjection 11(21.2%) of these regions demonstrated apparent T1-201 washout due to low differential uptake of the tracer. Such lesions would appear irreversible if redistribution imaging is not performed before reinjection. Thus 4-hour redistribution imaging should be performed for assessment of myocardial ischemia and viability.

  • Load redistribution algorithm is a critical factor in computer system. In a receiver-initiated load redistribution algorithm, receiver(underloaded processor) continues to send unnecessary request messages for load transfer until a sender(overloaded processor) is found while the system load is light. Therefore, it yields many problems such as low cpu utilization and system throughput because of inefficient inter-processor communications until the receiver receives an accept message from the sender in this environment. This paper presents an approach based on genetic algorithm(GA) for dynamic load redistribution including self-adjustable in heterogeneous distributed systems. In this scheme the processors to which the requests are sent off are determined by the proposed GA to decrease unnecessary request messages.

  • A comparative experimental study of prestressed continuous steel-concrete composite beams was carried out. Two continuous composite beams were tested, one of which was plain continuous steel-concrete composite beam, while the other was a composite beam prestressed with external tendons. Cracking behavior and the load carrying capacity of the beams were investigated experimentally. Full plasticity was developed in the mid-span section each beam, the maximum moments attained at the internal support sections however were governed by local buckling which was related to the slenderness of composite section. It was found that in hogging moment regions, the ultimate resistance of an externally prestressed composite beam would be governed by either distortional lateral buckling or local buckling, or interactive mode of these two buckling patterns. The results show that exerting prestressing on a continuous composite beam with external tendons will increase the extent of internal force and moment redistribution in the beam. The influences of local and distortional buckling on the behaviors of the composite continuous beams are discussed. The Moment redistribution and the load carrying capacity of the prestressed continuous composite beams are evaluated, and it is found that at the ultimate state, the moment redistribution in the prestrssed continuous composite beams is greater than that in non-prestressed composite beams.

  • Trialkyltin n-$Bu_3SnH$, an endocrine disruptor, was slowly converted by the catalytic action of group 4 $Cp_2MCl_2$/Red-Al (M = Ti, Zr, Hf) to produce two phases of products: one is an insoluble cross-linked solid, polystannane in 7-23% yield as minor product via redistribution/dehydrocoupling combination process, and the other is an oil, hexabutyldistannane in 69-90% yield as major product via simple dehydrocoupling process. Redistribution/dehydrocoupling process first produced a low-molecular-weight oligostannane possessing partial backbone Sn-H bonds which then underwent an extensive cross-linking reaction of backbone Sn-H bonds, leading to an insoluble polystannane. This is the first exciting example of redistribution/dehydrocoupling of a tertiary hydrostannane catalyzed by early transition metallocenes.

  • This study developed an evaluation system to explore the effect of the environmental temperature on the stress redistribution produced by cable stress relaxation of structural members in a steel cable-stayed bridge. The generalized Maxwell model is used to estimate stress relaxation at different temperatures. The environmental temperature is represented using the thermal coefficients and temperature loads. The fmincon optimization function is used to determine the set of stress relaxation parameters at different temperatures for all cables. The ABAQUS software is employed to investigate the stress redistribution of the steel cable-stayed bridge caused by the cable stress relaxation and the environmental temperature. All of these steps are set up as an evaluation system to save time and ensure the accuracy of the study results. The developed evaluation system is then employed to investigate the effect of environmental temperature and cable type on stress redistribution. These studies' findings show that as environmental temperatures increased up to 40 ℃, the redistribution rate increased by up to 34.9% in some girders. The results also show that the cable type with low relaxation rates should be used in high environmental temperature areas to minimize the effect of cable stress relaxation.

  • In this study, a graphical automatic system is developed in order to investigate the stress redistribution of structural members in a steel cable-stayed bridge. The generalized Maxwell model is selected for stress relaxation estimation, and it is carefully verified and applied to all the cable members of a steel cable-stayed bridge to investigate its stress relaxation. A set of stress relaxation parameters in all cables is determined using the fmincon optimization function. The stress redistribution of the steel cable-stayed bridge is then analyzed using ABAQUS. To shorten the investigation time, all the aforementioned phases are built up to be an automatic system. The automatic system is then employed to investigate the effect of cable cross-section areas and girder spans on stress redistribution. The findings from these studies show that the initial tension in the cables of a steel cable-stayed bridge should be kept to less than 55% of the cable's ultimate strength to reduce the effect of cable stress relaxation. The cable space in a steel cable-stayed bridge should be limited to 15,000 mm to minimize the effect of cable stress relaxation. In comparison to other structural members of a steel cable-stayed bridge, the girders experience a significant stress redistribution.

  • As the crack grows in the residual stress fields, the distribution of the residual stress is changed. In this study, a finite element modeling technique is developed to simulate the redistribution of residual stress due to crack propagation. To certify the accuracy, the crack propagation tests were carried out and tile effective stress intensity factor range was evaluated considering the redistribution of residual stress from the FE analysis.

  • This paper presents the parallel-type inventory structure using an order-up-to level inventory control system for analyzing the approximation of the expected units backordered and the measure of service. The rate of total expected backorders which is the measure of disservise, is given by dividing the improved units of total expected backorder into the total demand during an order cycle. the average annual total cost in system is obtained by considering the results. Total backorder model for the system without redistribution and the system with redistribution is described.

  • For the assessment of the retardation of fatigue crack propagation behavior due to overload, new FE analysis algorithms considering compressive residual stress redistribution near crack tip was proposed in this paper. The size of plastic zone near crack tip was obtained by elasto-plastic analysis and it was compared with Irwin's equation. The amount of residual stress redistribution was assessed by subsequent elasto-plastic analysis, and the difference of residual stress distributions between constant amplitude load and overload was obtained. In the analysis of fatigue crack propagation, the applied SIF range was evaluated by ASTM E647, and the effect of residual stresses on crack propagation was considered using the effective SIF concept. The test results of crack propagations were compared with the predicted data obtained by the analysis.

  • In this study effect of residual stress and its redistribution in weldment on the fatigue crack propagation was investigated. Fatigue tests were conducted by the center notched specimens machined with welded plate. The residual stress and its redistribution after the crack growth were measured by the magnetizing stress indicator and hole-drilling method. Fatigue crack propagation was estimated by the specimens having residual stress redistributed after the cracks growth and having the effects of crack closure. Crack growth rates were predicted and compared with experimental results. It had been found that the predicted crack propagation rates have a good agreement with experimental results when the redistribution of residual stress was considered.
