  • Copolymers containing oxime-urethane groups, which led to the formation of pendant amino groups photochemically, were applied to a fluorescent image-recording material through the reaction with fluorescamine, a prefluorescent dye for amino groups. This imaging method permits the fluorescent image to be erased or restored by treatment with base or acid. Copolymers containing phthalimide carbamate groups were applied to a bicolor fluorescent imaging material through the consecutive reaction with fluorescamine and rhodamine. A various colored fluorescent micropattern (green, red or red-yellow) was observed through the changes of excitation wavelength by using a conforcal microscope.

  • Synthesis of the fluorescent Au nanoclusters is reported. The Au nanoclusters were synthesized via reduction of gold ions in reverse micelles with mild reducing agents. The Au nanoclusters show a bright red emission at 640 nm. The fluorescent Au nanoclusters attract great interest for sensor, electronic device and bio-imaging applications because of ultra-small size, high chemical stablity and bright emission. We believe that the fluorescent Au nanoclusters can have optoelectronic applications such as optical down conversion phosphors.

  • We have demonstrated highly efficient WOLED with two separated emissive layers using a blue fluorescent dye and a red phosphorescent dye. we also obtain stable $CIE_{x,y}$ coordinates with two-layered WOLEDs. The device structure was ITO/2-TNATA/NPB/two separated emissive layers/Bphen/Liq/Al. The maximum luminous efficiency of the device was 11.6 cd/A at $20\;mA/cm^2$ and $CIE_{x,y}$ coordinates varied from (x = 0.33, y = 0.37) at 6V to (x = 0.28, y = 0.35) at 14V.

  • We studied optical and electrical properties of two-wavelength white tandem organic light-emitting diodes using red and blue materials. White fluorescent OLEDs were fabricated using Alq3 : Rubrene (3 vol.% 5 nm) / SH-1 : BD-2 (3 vol.% 25 nm) as emitting layer (EML). White single fluorescent OLED showed maximum current efficiency of 9.7 cd/A, and tandem fluorescent OLED showed 18.2 cd/A. Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of single and tandem fluorescent OLEDs was (0.385, 0.435), (0.442, 0.473) at $1,000cd/m^2$, respectively. White hybrid OLEDs were fabricated using SH-1 : BD-2 (3 vol.% 10 nm) / CBP : $Ir(mphmq)_2(acac)$ (2 vol.% 20 nm) as EML. White single hybrid OLED showed maximum current efficiency of 7.8 cd/A, and tandem hybrid OLED showed 26.4 cd/A. Maximum current efficiency of tandem hybrid OLED was more twice as high as single OLED. CIE coordinates of single hybrid OLED was (0.315, 0.333), and tandem hybrid OLED was (0.448, 0.363) at $1,000cd/m^2$. CIE coordinates in white tandem OLEDs compared to those for single OLEDs observed red shift. This work reveals that stacked white OLED showed current efficiency improvement and red shifted emission than single OLED.

  • The green fluorescent protein (GFP) from the jellyfish aequorea and its fluorescent homologs from Anthozoa corals have become invaluable tools for imaging of cells and tissues. In this study various fluorescent protein such as green fluorescent protein (GFP), yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) and red fluorescent protein (RFP) have been expressed in Escherichia coli. Growth of recombinant cells and production of fluorescent proteins were investigated in shake flasks. Some characteristics of fluorescent proteins was also studied.

  • This paper is dedicated to a research on fluorescent temperature-sensor system, which analyses the characteristic of fluorescent material and observes the relation between temperature and time delay of reflected beam from red light through experiment. From the experiment, We know that the reflected be am from flourescent material has some time delay. The intensity of reflected beam is inversly proportional to the temperature around the material.

  • The white light of a hybrid LED is obtained by using red and green organic fluorescent layers made of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) films, which function as color down-conversion layers of blue light-emitting diodes. In this research, we studied the fluorescence properties of a red organic fluorophore, employing perylene bisimide derivatives applicable to hybrid LEDs. The solubility, thermal stability, and luminous efficiency are important characteristics of organic fluorophores for use in hybrid LEDs. The perylene fluorescent compounds (1A and 1B) were prepared by the reaction of 4-bromophenol and 4-iodophenol with N,N'-bis(4-bromo-2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1, 6,7,12-tetrachloroperylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxyl diimide (1) in the presence of dimethyl formaldehyde (DMF) at $70^{\circ}C$. The synthesized derivatives were characterized by using $^1H-NMR$, FT-IR, UV/Vis absorption and PL spectra, and TGA analysis. Compounds 1A and 1B showed absorption and emission at 570 nm and 604 nm in the UV/Vis spectrum. We also documented favorable solubility and thermal stability characteristics of the perylene fluorophores in our work. Perylene fluorophore 1, with the 4-bromophenol substituent 1A, exhibited particularly good thermal stability and solubility in organic solvents.

  • Red color OLED has been fabricated by the doping method apply to CBP using co-evaporation, GDI4349 of phosphorescent dopant, and rubrene of fluorescent dopant. The OLED structure are multi-layer of ITO(150 nm)/ELM_HIL(50 nm)/ELM_HTL(30 nm)/CBP : Rubrene, GDI4349 (30 nm)/BAlq (30 nm)/LiF(0.7 nm)/Al (100 nm). Accomplished best result at 3 vol.% of rubrene when the OLEDs were made of 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 vol.% doped rubrene. The highest efficiency of 7.2 cd/A was resulted at 8 vol.% of GDI4349 when the OLEDs were made among 5, 8, 11, 14 vol.% of GDI4349. Obviously, the best concentration of rubrene at 3 vol.% and changing GDI4349 concentration to 5, 8, 11, 14 vol.% OLED dramatically enhanced characteristic of resulted 10.7 cd/A at 8 vol.% of GDI4349. This result would understand to analyse as the emission efficiency increases by energy transport efficiency increase using GDI4349 energy transfer when rubrene absorbs the energy from CBP of fluorescences host.

  • Two red emitters, 2-(7-(4-(diphenylamino)styryl)-2-methyl-4H-chromen-4-ylidene)malonitrile (Red 1) and 2-(7-(julolidylvinyl)-2-methyl-4H-chromen-4-ylidene)malonitrile (Red 2) have been designed and synthesized for application as red-light emitters in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). In these red emitters, the julolidine and triphenyl moieties were introduced to the emitting core as electron donors, and the chrome-derived electron accepting groups such as 2-methyl-(4H-chromen-4-ylidene)malononitrile were connected to electron donating moieties by vinyl groups. To explore the electroluminescence properties of these materials, multilayered OLEDs using red materials (Red 1 and Red 2) as dopants in $Alq_3$ host were fabricated. In particular, a device using Red 1 as the dopant material showed maximum luminous efficiencies and power efficiencies of 0.82 cd/A and 0.33 lm/W at $20mA/cm^2$. Also, a device using Red 2 as a dopant material presented the CIEx,y coordinates of (0.67, 0.32) at 7.0 V.
