집진장치의 유입구조에 따른 세라믹필터의 철입자 제거특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of inlet structure of filtration system on the removal characteristics of iron particles by ceramic candle filters)

  • Wet-type particulate removal system is employed in most of ironmaking processes. These de-dusting systems require additional downstream aggregates for treatment of water and for drying of the collected slurry. Thus dried slurry can be pressed in shape of briquettes and recycled in the steelmaking process. Different from the wet-type, the dry-type particulate removal systems generate no slurry. A high-temperature, high-pressure de-dusting system with inertial inlet was developed. The target application of this system was to remove particulate matter generated from the novel ironmaking process and other steelmaking processes. In this study we conducted tests with this newly developed system to evaluate the performance of the silica-carbide (SiC) ceramic filters. In addition, for purpose of comparison, we also conducted tests with a unit which has conventional direct inlet. Fe-Particles collected from the novel ironmaking process were used in our tests as test dusts. The temperature and the pressure were kept constant at their respective values $800^{\circ}C$ and $3kg_f/cm^2$.

정체성 수역 퇴적물 재활용을 위한 고형화 평가 (The Evaluation on Solidification of Dredged Sediment for Recycle from Stagnant Water Area)

  • Sediment has been increasingly acknowledged as a carrier in water system and an available contamination. For this reason, dredging of sediment in reservoir to remediate water quality and secure storage capacity is conducted annually. However, disposal of numerous dredged sediment is necessary as a secondary problem. Currently, in Korea, dredged sediment is classified as waste to be reclamated or recycled into sandy soil, however, they are still in trouble because of spacial and environmental problem. Therefore, rather than simple disposal or reuse into sandy soil, it is necessary to research on method to manage main cause of pollution and increase the value as a resource. In this study, we intend to develop a recycle technology for numerous dredged sediment produced by dredging in deteriorated reservoirs using solidificator (stabilizer). To achieve this, we will consider utilization of dredged sediment and evaluation of use possibility as natural recycle by analysis the characteristics of soil-solidificator mixture in terms of physicochemical properties and the mixing ratio between sediment and solidificator.

고로슬래그 혼입 콘크리트의 고온 조건에서의 열역학 성능 (Thermal Characteristics of Concrete Fabricated with Blast Furnace Slag Subjected to Thermal Cycling Condition)

  • 이 연구에서는 고온의 태양열 에너지를 저장하기 위한 고로슬래그 콘크리트의 열역학적 특성을 파악하였다. 고로슬래그 콘크리트의 열역학적 특성에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 실험연구를 수행하였다. 실험변수로써 고로슬래그 함유량과 물-바인더 비를 고려하였다. 고로슬래그 콘크리트의 역학적 특성으로써 열사이클 전과 후의 압축강도 및 인장강도를 측정하고, 열적 특성으로써 열전도율과 비열을 측정하였다. 고로슬래그를 포함한 콘크리트의 열싸이클 적용 후의 잔류압축강도가 고로슬래그를 포함하지 않은 콘크리트의 잔류압축강도보다 크다. 또한, 고로슬래그를 혼입한 콘크리트의 열전도율이 고로슬래그를 포함하지 않은 콘크리트의 열전도율보다 더욱 크다. 이는 고로슬래그 콘크리트가 열에너지의 축열과 방열에 효과적인 것을 나타낸다. 실험연구 결과는 콘크리트 열저장 축열 모듈 설계에 효율적으로 활용될 수 있다.

경축순환농업을 위한 가축분뇨 자원화 웹기반 정보은행 구축 (Web-based Information System Construction of Animal Manure Matching Service for Recycling Agriculture)

  • Animal and crop production systems were integrated on a single farm. This integrated farming system recycled nutrients on the farm. The separation of animal and crop production with the introduction of cheap commercial fertilizers, farms were not used land-applied manure. The on-line manure matching is one of the emerging business in the achievement of recycling and resource recovery. The manure matching actively promotes the reuse and recycling of by-products and manure. This study constructs to manure matching information system to solve the exchange problems between herders and croppers. Manure matching web sites designed. This paper introduces a web-based animal manure matching system. A manure matching service, part of the manure transport, links farmers who produce excess manure with farmers who can use the manure. Farmers registered with the service have requested manure. The manure matching service supports the transport project by linking farmers with excess manure with those farmers who can utilize the manure safely as a nutrient source. The goal of the service is to protect water quality by fostering efficient land application. Benefits to those who use the manure network include reduced disposal costs, lower purchase costs and recycling of manure. The manure matching is based on the principle that 'one persons waste is another person's fertilizer.' It provides a free online matchmaking service for environmentally safe manure recycling management system.

균열 자기치유 재료 혼입 모르타르의 투수성능 평가 (Water Permeability Performance Evaluation of Mortar Containing Crack Self-healing Mineral Admixtures)

  • 본 연구에서는 팽창재-팽윤재-결정성장 촉진제로 구성된 자기치유 재료(SH-PO-0)와 칼슘이온 용출을 촉진하는 인산염계 혼화재(PO)를 첨가한 자기치유 재료(SH-PO-5, 15, 30)를 사용한 모르타르의 압축강도 및 투수성능을 평가하였다. SH-PO-0는 OPC 대비 28일 압축강도는 9% 감소하였지만, 투수량 감소비는 OPC 대비 현저히 낮아, 자기치유 재료의 유효성을 확인하였다. PO의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 압축강도는 감소하고, 초기재령에서 투수성능은 개선되는 경향을 나타내었고, 적정 PO 치환율은 15% 수준이었다. SH-PO-15는 SH-PO-0 대비 28일 압축강도는 8% 이내에서 감소하였고, 초기 재령에서 투수성능이 더욱 개선되었으나, 장기재령까지 이어지지는 않았다. SEM-EDS분석에 의해 SH-PO-15의 칼슘 이온량이 더 많이 고정화되어 있음을 확인하였다.

Byproducts from Piggery Wastewater Treatment for the Sustainable Soil Amendment and Crop Production

  • Livestock manure is generally beneficial to soil and crop production when appropriate amount is applied, but excessive application may be detrimental to soil and water environments. A proper protocol of livestock waste treatment is required to manage the quality of soil and water. A trickling filter system using rice straw media was employed to treat piggery wastewater from small-scaled livestock farms as an alternative to the currently available methods. Batches of piggery wastewater were treated with this system, and the byproducts of rice straw media and trickling filtrate were applied to the soil with cultivating rye (Secale cereale L.). Objective of this research was to characterize these byproducts for the sustainable soil amendments and rye production. Both the treated straw medium and filtrate were proven to be effective organic fertilizers for rye plant development, with the enhanced but balanced absorption of nutrients. The synergistic effects of filtrate in addition to straw application did not show, but the filtrate appeared to lead to a higher water content of the plant. No specific nutrient deficiency or toxicity symptom was shown due to the salts derived from the byproducts applied. Chemical parameters of the soil quality were significantly improved with the application of straw medium either with or without the filtrate. Judging from parameters relating to the salt accumulations, such as sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), electrical conductivity (EC), exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP), potassium adsorption ratio (KAR), and residual P concentrations, the byproducts from piggery wastewater exhibited no detrimental effects on soil quality within the ranges of treatments used. In addition to the effectiveness of the rice straw trickling filter system for the small-scaled swine farms, both rice straw medium and filtrate could be recycled for the sustainable soil amendment and plant nutrition.

알칼리 활성 슬래그 기반 무시멘트 콘크리트의 장기 내구성 평가 (Long-Term Durability Estimation of Cementless Concrete Based on Alkali Activated Slag)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 알칼리 활성 슬래그 기반 무시멘트 콘크리트의 염소이온 침투 및 황산염 침투 저항성과 같은 장기 내구성을 평가하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 물-결합재비에 따라 원주형 및 각주형의 무시멘트 콘크리트를 제작한 후, 이들에 대해서 재령 28일부터 365일까지 NT BUILD 492 및 JSTM C 7401 각각에 따라 장기 염소이온 침투 및 황산염 침투 저항성을 평가하였다. 그 결과, 무시멘트 콘크리트의 장기 염소이온 침투 및 황산염 침투 저항성은 물-결합재비에 관계 없이 OPC 콘크리트보다 크게 개선되는 것으로 나타나, 무시멘트 콘크리트의 장기 내구성은 매우 우수한 것으로 입증되었다.

물-결합재비에 따른 알칼리 활성 슬래그 모르타르의 초기 재령 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Early Age Properties of Alkali Activated Slag Mortar According to Water/Binder Ratio)

  • 최근 시멘트 제조시 발생되는 다량의 이산화탄소로 인한 온난화 현상이 심각한 실정이며, 이러한 환경문제와 자원 고갈 문제를 동시에 해결하기 위해 고로슬래그와 같은 산업부산물을 콘크리트 배합에 사용하는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 일반적으로 고로슬래그는 대체율 20~50%의 범위에서 가장 많이 사용되고 있으나, 최근에는 고로슬래그를 100% 사용한 알칼리 활성 슬래그 콘크리트의 개발 및 실용화 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고강도 알칼리 활성 콘크리트의 구조 부재 적용을 위한 기초 자료를 확보하기 위해 알칼리 활성화 슬래그 모르타르의 초기 재령특성을 조사하였다. 물-결합재비(W/B)는 0.3, 0.4, 0.5의 3수준으로 하고 알칼리 활성화제인 NaOH를 슬래그 질량대비 4%, 8%, 12% 첨가한 AAS 모르타르의 압축강도, 플로우, 초결과 종결, 초음파속도를 측정하였다. 그 결과, 물-결합재비가 낮을수록 높은 압축강도가 발현되었으나 시간 경과에 따라 플로우가 저하하고 응결시간이 빨라지는 것으로 나타나 고강도 알칼리 활성 콘크리트를 제조하기 위해서는 적절한 유동화제의 사용이 필수적이라고 판단된다.

Nanocrystalline Copper Oxide(II)-Catalyzed Alkyne-Azide Cycloadditions

  • Although the use of Cu(II) salts as catalysts without reductants is limited in the cycloaddition of acetylenes with azides, the catalytic system employing average 10 nm CuO(II) nanoparticles in the absence of reductants shows good catalytic activity to form 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles even in wet THF as well as water. It is also noticeable that CuO(II) nanoparticle catalysts can be recycled with consistent activity. A range of alkynes and azides were subject to the optimized CuO(II) nanoparticle-catalyzed cycloaddition reaction conditions to afford the desired products in good yields.

다단층 부착성장 공법($A^2/O$향)에서 순환비에 따른 질소제거 (Nitrogen Removal in the Multi-stage Bed Attached Growth Process of $A^2/O$ System with Interanal Recycle Ratio)

  • The process which can stabilize water quality of treatment and improve nitrogen removal rate under the condition of high organic loading was developed by charging fibrous HBC media to single sludge nitrification-denitrification process. This process was operated easier, minimized the treatment cost, and shortened the retention time. To improve T-N removal rate, a part of nitrifing liquid at aerobic zone was recycled to anoxic zone by approximate internal recycle ratio. The experimental results are as follows ; T-N removal efficiency in the organic volumetric loading 0.14-0.19 kg/COD/m$^{3}$·d was obtained asmaxium of 85% at internal recycle ratio 2.5 and in more ratio than this it was decreased. Organic removal efficiency was about 91% under the overall experimental conditions and not influenced by recycle ratio.
