  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the utilization of recycled fine aggregates as a material to apply to a building finished walls or as a decorating material in combination with a polymer. The strengths of two resin mortars using recycled fine aggregates and natural fine aggregates was made. In order to improve the workability and the strength of the resin mortar with recycled fine aggregates, partial replacement of recycled fine aggregates with natural ones was made with the application of various type of fillers. The results, it show that the compressive strength and flexural strength of resin mortar using the recycled fine aggregates were about 70% to 100% of those of resin mortar using natural fine aggregates. It was enough to assure the utilization of the recycled fine aggregates as a material for the production of resin mortar. From the result of partial replacement of recycled fine aggregates with natural ones, the compressive strength was Increased from 5% to 15% and the flexural strength was much as 5% to 20% as a result of 70% substitution It was also found that the use of garnet powder shows a similar tendency in the compressive strength and slag powder does in the flexural strength and tensile strength.

  • Recently, the broken concrete lumps resulting from the demolition of concrete structures are creshed for reuse as aggregates(i.e. recycled fine and gravel). And also, in the processing of crusing, the recycled powder of an equivalent of between 20% to 30% by wt.% of the broken concrete lumps is generated. The extensive research of recycled concrete aggregates has been carried out in various parts of the world. But less reseatch on the reuse of recycled concrete powder has been carried out. It is the purpose of this report that the study on the quality evaluation of recycled aggregates for recycled concrete. In specially, this report deals with the properties such as flow, compressive strength, bending strength, drying shrinkage and wight loss rate of mortars replaced standard fine aggregate with recycled powders at the rate of 3, 7, 15, 20 and 30 wt.%. Since the characteristics of recycled mortars with the recycled powders were comparable to those of the normal mortar without the recycled powders as described above, its concretes could be found extensive application in such field as concrete products.

  • In this study, high volume of industrial by-products including blast furnace slag, recycled aggregate powder and incineration ash have been utilized on the slurry of the foamed lightweight concrete. As to decrease the price of the lightweight foam concrete, mortar based slurry and concrete based slurry has been fixed. As the variation of the foam conduction ratio and aggregates, the foam ratio and compressive strength has been tested. Results showed that using recycled aggregates in the slurry showed better effect than using natural aggregates due to the alkali properties of the recycled aggregates could activate the potential hydraulic properties of the blast furnace slag. Consider about the low price of the recycled aggregates, it could be identified that using recycled aggregates in high volume blast furnace slag blended lightweight concrete showed better compressive strength than natural aggregates.

  • Weakness of fine powder of blast furnace slags includes the decrease of initial intensity and delay of setting time. To solve this problem, there has been research on the alkali activation to induce hardening using alkaline chemical. However, the use of chemicals is dangerous and not cost effective, which can be solved by using recycled aggregates, one of construction wastes. The role of alkali activator can be substituted by alkali of non-hydrated cement included in recycled aggregates. In this study, the alkaline value of recycled aggregates will be evaluated through the comparison of molarity of sodium hydroxide (NaOH).

  • This study is analysis of effect of binder types and replacement ratio on the properties of blast furnace slag mortar using the recycled fine aggregates. The results of the study were was follows. Compressive strength was increased according to an increase in replacement ratio of fine particle cement and gypsum. Absorption was reduced according to an increase in replacement ratio of fine particle cement and recycled aggregate fine powder.

  • The purpose of this study, looking to which the recycled fine aggregates from waste concrete have a lot of problems as a material for structure purpose, is applying the recycled fine aggregate to Self-Compacting Concrete(In the reminder of this paper, it often referred to as SCC) by using the characteristic which the powder containing the recycled fine aggregates can increase strength and liquidity. In this study, that is, the recycled fine aggregate powder is appropriate for developing high strength(over 40 MPa) and liquidity(JSCE 2 grade), the characteristic of the SCC and it was increased the ratio of mixing the recycled fine aggregates emerging from waste concrete and the normal fine aggregates by 25%, making differential in total 5 levels and applied to SCC. After all, this study was reviewed the physical properties of the fresh concrete, analyzed the mechanical properties and durability of the hardening concrete and tried to ensure the possibility of utilizing the recycled fine aggregates as a material for SCC. As a result, this study reached a conclusion that among the 5-level replacement ratios of the physical, mechanical analysis and the durability characteristics, the normal fine aggregates could be applied up to a replacement ratio of 50% more than the recycled fine aggregates and resulted in a deterioration in performance the replacement ratio larger than 50%. It is judged that the applicability of the real structures should be followed up in order to check the possibility of applying the recycled fine aggregates to real life.

  • Construction development and greenhouse gas emissions have globally required a strategic management to take some steps to stain and maintain the environment. Nowadays, recycled aggregates, in particular ceramic waste, have been widely used in concrete structures due to the economic and environmentally friendly solution, requiring the knowledge of recycled concrete. Also, one of the materials used as a substitute for concrete cement is wollastonite mineral to decrease carbon dioxide (CO2) from the cement production process by reducing the concrete consumption in concrete. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of wollastonite on the mechanical properties and durability of conventional composite concrete, containing recycled aggregates such as compressive strength, tensile strength (Brazilian test), and durability to acidic environment. On the other hand, in order to determine the strength and durability of the concrete, 5 mixing designs including different wollastonite values and recovered aggregates including constant values have been compared to the water - cement ratio (w/c) constant in all designs. The experimental results have shown that design 5 (containing 40% wollastonite) shows only 6.1% decrease in compressive strength and 4.9% decrease in tensile strength compared to the control plane. Consequently, the use of wollastonite powder to the manufacturing of conventional structural concrete containing recycled ceramic aggregates, in addition to improving some of the properties of concrete are environmentally friendly solutions, providing natural recycling of materials.

  • The quantity of Recycled concrete powder is increased, because it hal been ever so often crushing for production of a good quality recycled aggregates This Study is on the Development of Concrete-Product by Using Recycled Concrete Powder and alto for know performance of concrete-producted having low water contents and it is to know for all of performance of concrete-producted having low water contents The conclusions of this study are following. The use of replacement cement is not effective, because it has strengh of less than 10MPa But It is possible to develop high strength concrete-producted having 39MPa above compressive strength by using recycled concrete powder. Because strength enhancement effects by recycled concrete powder are responsible to optimum grading. The conclusions of this study are following. • In this study, a zero-cement brick is manufactured by replacing cement with recycled aggregates and blast furnace slag powder. Experimental tests were conducted with standard sized samples of $190{\times}57{\times}90mm$ (KS F 4004), and this manufacturing technique was simulated in practice. Results showed that the zero-cement brick with 0.35 W/B had the highest compressive strength, but the lowest absorption ratio. This absorption ratio of zero-cement brick with 0.35 W/B was lower than the required level determined by KS F 4004. Hence, to increase the absorption ratio, crushed fine aggregate (CA) and emulsified waste vegetable oil (EWO) were used in combination in the zero-cement brick. It was found that the zero-cement brick with CA of 20% and EWO of 1% had the optimum combination, in terms of having the optimum strength development (12 MPa) and the optimum absorption ratio (8.4%) that satisfies the level required by KS. In addition, it is demonstrated that for the manufacturing of zero-cement brick of 1000, this technique reduces the manufacturing cost by 5% compared with conventional cement brick.
