  • The dimensional accuracy of a final product is mainly affected by elastic die deformation during the forging and elastic recovery after the ejection in cold forging process. The investigations on elastic recovery are not so much as those of elastic die deformation. The elastic recovery can be determined by using the elastic-plalstic finite element analysis, but, this method has some limits such as poor conver- gence and long computational time, etc. In this paper, a theoretical analysis for predicting the elastic recovery of a final product in axi-symmetric forging process by using the rigid-plastic finite element method is presented. The rigid-plastic finite element analysis of a cold forward extrusion process involving loading, ejecting process is accomplished by rigid-plastic FE code, DEFORM. The effect of elastic die deformation on the final product dimenmsion is also considered. The calculated elastic recovery is compared is compared with the analysis result of elastic-plastic FE code. • Purpose: This study aims at confirming the effects of the chest meridian massage on the post-anesthetic recovery of general anesthesia appendectomy patients. Method: The research was post-test designed as a nonequivalent control group among quasi-experiments tested. The data was collected from June 20, 2003 to October 14, 2003 at a hospital in P city. In the collected data, using SPSS Win 10.0 program, these general features were analyzed by real numbers and percentages; the homogeneity among variables by $X^2-test$ and t-test and the research hypothesis by the t-test. Result: Hypothesis 1; The experimental group receiving the treatment of the chest meridian massage will have a much higher post-anesthetic recovery score than that of the control group not receiving it was supported(t=2.544, p=.014). Hypothesis 2; The experimental group receiving the treatment of the chest meridian massage will have a much shorter time of stay in the recovery room than that of the control group not receiving it was supported(t=-4.919, p=.000). Conclusion: According to these results, it may be concluded that Chest Meridian Massage is effective in producing a higher level of post-anesthetic recovery score and helps appendectomy patients reduce the time of stay in the recovery room. Therefore the chest meridian massage can be considered as an intervention therapy for directly nursing general anesthesia appendectomy patients.

  • To develop a stable and compact small-sized superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) system, which provides electric power with high quality to sensitive electric loads, we fabricated a SMES coil and tested it. Because such a large-sized superconducting coil quenches far away from its critical current, the recovery current is frequently used as a stability criterion in the coil fabrication. Therefore, we first investigated the recovery current characteristics of the large current conductor, which was used in our SMES coil fabrication. The test results indicate that the recovery currents measured in the conductor are nearly identical to those based on the single wire. This implies that the recovery current is affected by the conductor's cooling condition rather than its size and current capacity. In the SMES coil test the first quench occurred at 1250 A, which is equivalent to the stored energy of about 2 MJ. It corresponds to the quench current density of about $130A/mm^2$ This value is much higher in comparison with that reported in the other work. In addition, the first quench current of the coil agrees well with the measured recovery current of the conductor having similar cooling condition with it. This means that to determine the recovery current of a conductor is, first of all, important in the design and fabrication of a large-sized superconducting coil.

  • This study is about the influence of perceived justice with service recovery on customer satisfaction and the customer's behavioral results. Even though prior studies estimated overall customer satisfaction, this study measured customer satisfaction separately in two parts: satisfaction with the service recovery and relationship satisfaction. The results are as follows. Distributive justice and interactional justice have positive effects on satisfaction with service recovery. But distributive justice, procedural justice and interactional justice have positive effects on relationship satisfaction. Satisfaction with the service recovery and relationship satisfaction have a positive effect on customer loyalty.

  • To find out the effect of the vegetation recovery and the problems of forest land, the researches of the mortality in pine stand and vegetation recovery have been carried out from the burned site. In area which is damaged by fire scar on crown and stem, rate of dead is higher. Where stand growing stocks were totally damaged by crown forest fire, most of vegetation was recovered by sprouts and planted seeds. Vegetation recovery power were depending on the condition of soil depth condition. For the artificial recovery, the damage happened by insects in the planted birches plantation. Rate of growth was somewhat different between Pinus densiflora and Pinus thunbergii in the plantation, because of individual growth rate.

  • This study analyzes the flow characteristics and sponge ball recovery performance in a ball strainer according to vortex promoter design variables through flow-particle analysis based on actual experiments to derive a method for improving the recovery rate of cleaning sponge balls of CTCS applied to existing power plants. Based on the ball strainer in CTCS used in the power plant, the experiment was conducted by changing the design factor of the improved shape. In addition, flow and particle analysis were performed under the same conditions as the experiment to numerically the flow characteristics and recovery rate in the ball strainer according to the design factor of the vortex promoter. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the recovery performance was improved by about 3% by changing the design height of the Vortex promoter. And when comparing the difference between maximum and minimum recovery rate, it was found that the effect on the recovery performance increased slightly according to the distance condition compared to the vortex promoter design height condition.

  • Purpose: This retrospective study analyzed the effects of advanced life support on the recovery of spontaneous circulation (SC) in patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Methods: The subjects of this study were out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients transferred to the hospital by 119 paramedics in Gyeongsangbuk-do from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022, amounting to a total of 2,524 patients. Results: The younger the age, the higher the probability of recovery of spontaneous circulation, and it was higher when cardiac arrest occurred in a public place or was witnessed. If the patient's initial electrocardiogram rhythm is defibrillable, the probability of recovery from spontaneous circulation is high. The recovery of the spontaneous circulation rate decreased with time between the time of report and the time of contact with the patient. Recovery of the spontaneous circulation rate was high when mechanical chest compression devices and advanced airways were not used. Additionally, this study had positive effects on defibrillation, peripheral intravenous catheter insertion, and epinephrine infusion. Conclusion: Paramedics should actively perform peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and epinephrine infusion, and it should be possible to clearly determine whether defibrillation should be applied through electrocardiographic education.

  • Bridge dynamic behaviors and the failure of the foundation are examined in this study under seismic excitations including the local scour effect. The simplified mechanical model, which can consider the effect of various influence elements, is proposed to simulate the bridge motions. The scour depths around the foundations are estimated by the CSU equation recommended by the HEC-18 and the local scour effect upon global bridge motions is then considered by applying various foundation stiffness based upon the reduced embedded depths. From the simulation results, it is found that seismic responses of a bridge with the same scour depth for both foundations increase due to the local scour effect. The bridge scour is found to be significant under weak and moderate seismic intensity. The recovery durations of the foundation stiffness after local scour are found to be critical in the estimation of the probability of foundation failure under earthquakes. Therefore, the safety of the whole bridge system should be conducted with the consideration of the scour effect upon the foundations and the recovery duration of stiffness should be determined rationally.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the difference of reduction in lactic acid of blood in the course of time 1)whoa applying the blood cleaning therapy during recovery after anaerobic exercise, 2)when applying the massage during recovery after anaerobic exercise, and 3)while taking a rest during recovery after anaerobic exercise, respectively. The subject of this study consists of 30 men who are divided into three groups such as group 1(n=10) for the blood cleaning therapy, group 2(n=10) for the massage and group 3(n=10) for rest. The blood-gathering was performed over four times ; during rest, immediately after unaerobic exercise, and at 10 and 15 minutes during recovery. The results were summarized as fellows. 1. There was reduction in lactic acid when applying the blood cleaning therapy during recovery after anaerobic exercise. And remarkable differences were shown from immediately after exercise to at 10 and 15 minutes during recovery(p<0.01 and p<0.001, respectively). 2. There was also reduction in lactic acid when applying the massage during recovery after anaerobic exercise. No difference wan shown from immediately after exercise to at 10 minutes during recovery. However a remarkable difference was shown from immediately after exercise to at 15 minutes during recovery(p<0.05). 3. The rest group which took a rest during recovery after anaerobic exercise did not show any difference from immediately after exercise to at 10 and 15 minutes during recovery.
