Research on the evaluation model for the impact of AI services

  • This study aims to propose a framework for evaluating the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) services, based on the concept of AI service impact. It also suggests a model for evaluating this impact and identifies relevant factors and measurement approaches for each item of the model. The study classifies the impact of AI services into five categories: ethics, safety and reliability, compliance, user rights, and environmental friendliness. It discusses these five categories from a broad perspective and provides 21 detailed factors for evaluating each category. In terms of ethics, the study introduces three additional factors-accessibility, openness, and fairness-to the ten items initially developed by KISDI. In the safety and reliability category, the study excludes factors such as dependability, policy, compliance, and awareness improvement as they can be better addressed from a technical perspective. The compliance category includes factors such as human rights protection, privacy protection, non-infringement, publicness, accountability, safety, transparency, policy compliance, and explainability.For the user rights category, the study excludes factors such as publicness, data management, policy compliance, awareness improvement, recoverability, openness, and accuracy. The environmental friendliness category encompasses diversity, publicness, dependability, transparency, awareness improvement, recoverability, and openness.This study lays the foundation for further related research and contributes to the establishment of relevant policies by establishing a model for evaluating the impact of AI services. Future research is required to assess the validity of the developed indicators and provide specific evaluation items for practical use, based on expert evaluations.

Efficient Fault-Recovery Technique for CGRA-based Multi-Core Architecture

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient fault-recovery technique for CGRA (Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Architecture) based multi-core architecture. The proposed technique is intra/inter-CGRA co-reconfiguration technique based on a ring-based sharing fabric (RSF) and it enables exploiting the inherent redundancy and reconfigurability of the multi-CGRA for fault-recovery. Experimental results show that the proposed approaches achieve up to 73% fault recoverability when compared with completely connected fabric (CCF).

  • EU의 WEEE 지침에는 전기전자제품의 생산자들이 반드시 달성하여야 하는 재활용률과 재생률의 목표치가 설정되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 전기전자제품의 생산자들이 개발되는 제품의 재활용가능률과 재생가능률을 산정해 보는데 필요한 부품과 소재들의 재활용률과 재생률의 기준을 만들어 보았다. 먼저 전기전자제품의 재활용공정과 부품 및 소재별 재활용 및 재생특성을 분석해 보았으며, 유럽 현지 업체들의 처리결과에 따른 재활용률과 관련된 자료들을 조사하여 분석하였다. 이러한 결과로 작성된 재활용률과 재생률 DB는 유럽의 전문가의 의견을 반영하여 개선하였다.

  • To project military power, the paradigm of the modern warship aquisition has evolved with more large platform and high-technology equipment. For example, the Aegis combat system equipped warship is one of the most advanced and capable defense systems currently in use. Concurrently, if the warship attacked and disabled, it may worse the asymmetry of the battle field and it also depress the morale of the fleet. For that reason, to keep and protect few number of the big and high technology equipped warship from enemy is very important. At the present, the performance of unit weapon has enhanced remarkably. A Korean-built SS-209 class submarine, Lee Chun-ham, participated in Naval Exercise Tandem Thrust conducted in 1999, sink the target ship ex-USS Oklahoma by a single torpedo. USS Stark was struck on May 17, 1987, by two Exocet anti ship missiles and disabled. For this reason, susceptibility should be prior to vulnerability and recoverability. In this paper, deception ship which is small and chief but has very similar signatures to large and high technology equiped warship has conceptually studied by using systems engineering approach. And it may be a effective way to enhance the susceptibility of the key fighting power.

3세대 이동 통신을 위한 티켓 기반 인증 및 지불 기법 (A Ticket based Authentication and Payment Scheme for Third Generation Mobile Communications)

  • UMTS와 같은 제 3세대 이동 통신 시스템에서의 value-added 서비스를 위한 중요한 점은 이동 사용자로부터의 지불을 받을 수 있는 지의 여부를 검사하는 것이다. 기존의 value-added 서비스를 위한 인증 및 지불 프로토콜은 사용자의 인증 기관의 역할을 해주는 온-라인(on-line) TTP에 의존하고 있다. 그러나 3 세대 이동 통신 시스템에서의 수많은 서비스 제공자들, 다양한 종류의 서비스들, 그리고 넓은 사용자 계층 등을 고려할 때 온-라인 TTP에 기반한 인증과 지불 기법은 실용적이지 못하다. 본 논문에서는 3 세대 이동 통신 시스템에서의 value-added 서비스를 위하여 티켓(ticket)을 이용하여 인증 및 지불 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안한 티켓 기반 인증 및 지불 프로토콜은 온-라인 TTP와의 통신 없이 사용자의 비용 지불 여부를 확인할 수 있는 효율적인 방법을 제공한다. 또한 티켓에 기반한 제안된 프로토콜은 이동 사용자의 서비스 사용에 대한 익명성을 보장 할 수 있다.

Experimental and numerical investigation on the seismic behavior of the sector lead rubber damper

  • Beam-column joints in the frame structure are at high risk of brittle shear failure which would lead to significant residual deformation and even the collapse of the structure during an earthquake. In order to improve the damage issue and enhance the recoverability of the beam-column joints, a sector lead rubber damper (SLRD) has been developed. The SLRD can increase the bearing capacity and energy dissipation capacity, and also demonstrating recoverability of seismic performance following cyclic loading. In this paper, the hysteretic behavior of SLRD was experimentally investigated in terms of the regular hysteretic behavior, large deformation behavior and fatigue behavior. Furthermore, a parametric analysis was performed to study the influence of the primary design parameters on the hysteretic behavior of SLRD. The results show that SLRD resist the exerted loading through the shear capacity of both rubber parts coupled with the lead cores in the pre-yielding stage of lead cores. In the post-yielding phase, it is only the rubber parts of the SLRD that provide the shear capacity while the lead cores primarily dissipate the energy through shear deformation. The SLRD possesses a robust capacity for large deformation and can sustain hysteretic behavior when subjected to a loading rotation angle of 1/7 (equivalent to 200% shear strain of the rubber component). Furthermore, it demonstrates excellent fatigue resistance, with a degradation of critical behavior indices by no more than 15% in comparison to initial values even after 30 cycles. As for the designing practice of SLRD, it is recommended to adopt the double lead core scheme, along with a rubber material having the lowest possible shear modulus while meeting the desired bearing capacity and a thickness ratio of 0.4 to 0.5 for the thin steel plate.

Enhanced Upper Bound for Erasure Recovery in SPC Product Codes

  • Single parity check (SPC) product codes are simple yet powerful codes that are used to correct errors and/or recover erasures. The focus of this paper is to evaluate the performance of such codes under erasure scenarios and to develop a closed-form tight upper bound for the post-decoding erasure rate. Closed-form exact expressions are derived for up to seven erasures. Previously published closed-form bounds assumed that all unrecoverable patterns should contain four erasures in a square. Additional non-square patterns are accounted for in the proposed expressions. The derived expressions are verified using exhaustive search. Eight or more erasures are accounted for by using a bound. The developed expressions improve the evaluation of the recoverability of SPC product codes without the need for simulation or search algorithms, whether exhaustive or novel.

  • This paper discuss basic functional construction and plant layout of a ELV dismantling system that can maximize the reusability of tarts and the recoverability of materials by dismantling ELV rationally and efficiently. "Island" type was selected for the system configuration considering processing amount, economical efficiency, and effectiveness. The system is supported by the information system, and composed of dismantling stations and handling equipments. The layout of the stations was determined after simulation and optimization using commercial software package, Arena and OptQuest. The objective of the optimization was maximum profit while the system capacity is considered as constraint. The environmental load of ELV can be minimized when the composition and function of each station are embodied in detail and the system is interfaced with shredding operation.

Dynamic Redundancy-based Fault-Recovery Scheme for Reliable CGRA-based Multi-Core Architecture

  • CGRA (Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Architecture) based multi-core architecture can be considered as a suitable solution for the fault-tolerant computing. However, there have been a few research projects based on fault-tolerant CGRA without exploiting the strengths of CGRA as well as their works are limited to single CGRA. Therefore, in this paper, we propose two approaches to enable exploiting the inherent redundancy and reconfigurability of the multi-CGRA for fault-recovery. One is a resilient inter-CGRA fabric that is ring-based sharing fabric (RSF) with minimal interconnection overhead. Another is a novel intra/inter-CGRA reconfiguration technique on RSF for maximizing utilization of the resources when faults occur. Experimental results show that the proposed approaches achieve up to 94% faulty recoverability with reducing area/delay/power by up to 15%/28.6%/31% when compared with completely connected fabric (CCF).

형상기억 거동의 동적 기계적 해석 (Dynamic Mechanical Interpretations of Shape Memory Behavior)

  • PCL, MDI, BD 및 DMPA를 이용, 폴리우레탄(PU)을 ionomer 및 nonionomergudxo 로 제조하였으며 이때 연질성분의 함량(SSC) 및 길이가 PU의 기계적, 동적기계적 특성은 물론 형상기억특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. Ionomer는 nonionomer에 비하여 경도, 탄 성율 및 강도가 모두 우수하였으며 그 효과는 실온에서 경질성분의 함량(HSC)이 높은 PU 일수록 보다 뚜렷하였는데 이는 HSC가 증가할수록 ion 중심의 농도가 증가하며 ion 중심간 의 Coulob 력이 고온보다 실온에서 보다 큰데 기인하는 것으로 해석하였다. 반복인장하중실 험에서 ionomer는 nonionomer에 비해 회복변형이 크고 잔류변형이 작았는데 이는 ionomer 의 고무탄성율이 보다 큰 데 기인한 것으로 해석하였다. 나아가 재료의 형상기억거동은 기 본적으로 탄성율의 온도의존성에 크게 의존함을 알수있었다.
