The purpose of this study is to analyse the architectural character of JE-DAMG at farm village in Ulsan. JE-DANG means the building for DONG-JE (the sacrificial rite of a village). The regions of this study are KANG-DONG MYEN, and UNG-CHON MYEN in Ulsan. The method of this study is the analysis of them after the actual field surveys of 47 JE-DANGs in these regions The survey contains the area, the height, the period of the erection, the architectural structure, the roof shape, the material, the landowner, SHIN-CHE (means a god's name and shape), DANG-SU tree and so on. Methods of the survey are the field survey, the interview of villager, the analysis of reference data and so on. Results of the study are below. JE-DANGs(buildings) of these regions had been built first in the period of Japanese occupancy and erections of them had continued until 1970's. Since then, they have been rebuilt. The primary JE-DANG is characterized by a tiled roof, a wooden post lintel, a mud-plastered wall, and a wooden door. After rebuilding, characters are a flat slab, a tiled roof, a structure of using red bricks, and the area is getting larger than the primary JE-DANG, but 1 KAN persists without variety. Most of houses in the inland area like UNG-CHON MYEN face the south, and ones in the coastal area like KANG-BONG MYEN face the east. Generally there is DANG-SU tree behind JE-DANG. That proves DANG-SU tree to be the object of the rite. The species of DANG-SU is a pine in general ,but various in UNG-CHON MYEN. In general names of the god are DONG-SHIN , DANG-SAN SHIN and SUNG-HWANG SHIN. I think that the landownership of JE-DANG should change the private ownership into the village ownership to preserve JE-DANG though most of lands of JE-DANG are private ones.
The purpose of this research was to find out the housing history of Sakhalin returnees in Ansan Gohyangmaeul since leaving hometown under the Japanese ruling period, who experienced two international migration for one's life. Face to face interview had been done with 20 returnees in the community center of Ansan Gohyangmaeul during October to December, 2008. The semi-structured questionnaire about housing the respondents lived in major life changes used to guide the individual interview. The results showed that personal life as well as housing histories were differed by the reason to move into Sakhalin, which still influenced the returnee' life up to now. The housing they had lived changed from barracks like a training camp, to Japanese small wooden cottage/row house, and then Russian brick house/ apartment. Housing alteration and addition and rebuilding were common to renew the old existing house. The boundary of residing area was mostly limited to the first residing location under soviet governing system throughout one's life without a long distance move. Housing satisfaction was very high in Gohyangmaeul because of the improvement of housing facilities and residence itself as well as the convenience of housing management, compared to former residence in Sakhalin. Economic and emotional aspects of life satisfaction were also high during about 8 years of living in the apartment. Forced movers still require the compensation on hand to either Korean or Japanese government no matter the amount. Social integration to the Korean community would be one of the main issues to new returnees as well as the already returned. In-depth interviews of case study need to reveal the unique housing experience of the forced mover according to the type of leaving hometown by oneself or by parents, and to returned region and time to motherland.

This study was conducted in Tateyama, Japan with on-site observation conducted by Professor Aizawa, who organized this locality movement. This research was focused on listening to people's explanations, observations and studying the related documentation. First of all, the locality of Tateyama City was formed by utilizing the historic records of the area. Through Namo Amitabha which was carved on the four-sided stone pagoda, the city formed the locality as the peaceful city. "The gift of the Sea" painted by Shigeru Aoki in this city contributed to the identity of this locality known as the 'city of art which the painter loved'. The reconstruction of localities through the documentation of the relics are as follows. Satomi Castle, which was discovered to be the setting of the famous fictional saga Satomi and the Eight "Dogs". The excavation and research of the ruins of forgotten World War II, is another example of reconstruction at this locality. This locality is seen as 'the city of peace' and was reconstructed through a positive and future oriented attitude. It is noticeable that the locality of Tateyama city was newly formed or reconstructed using local records and documentation relics in the area.
Inland transport becomes more and more important in connecting ports with inland. Therefore, studying on cargo flow from ports to regions has been active in progress by many researchers. However current statistical data of freight flow from origin locations to destination locations does not reflect the exact characteristics of freight flow. Also, they also do not reflect the characteristics of multimodal transport system in which cargos go through intermediate locations such as logistics center or inland container depot. In growing up the emergent need of rebuilding statistical data for freight flow from origin locations to destination locations, this paper will propose a freight flow model with logistics center and it will be verified by genetic algorithm through the simulation scenarios.
There are similarities between Korea and Japan in terms of national planning and development system and housing policies. Japan has suffered from great shifts of social and economic systems due to skyrocketing land prices for three times and the collapse of the bubble economy after the Second World War. The study reviews historically important changes in the national territory and housing policies for last 60 years in Japan. It also investigates changing trends and characteristics of many socioeconomic indicators with regard to population, housing and other fields in response to these policies. First of all, Japan has experienced significant economic growth before and after the 1960's, and the era of national rebuilding projects in the 1970's. After then, the period of the bubble economy has emerged since 1980; however, it suffered from skyrocketing land values between the late 1980's and the early 1990's, and the collapse of Japanese bubble economy in the early 1990's. In response, many urban regeneration policies and projects were proposed to recover the national economy since 2000. It is found that these national territory development and housing supply policies throughout the country have been influenced by the changing characteristics of social and economic conditions. Since the housing supply ratio in 1968 reached up to around 100% on average, Japan has been focusing attention to improving the residential and living quality for existing housing stock rather than supplying new housing units through large-scale new town projects. These experiences are full of helpful suggestions for our future housing and urban regeneration policies as we reach to more than 100% of housing supply ratio on average.

Purpose: The world faces a great turning point fundamentally rebuilding the future, and human lives, by embracing the 4th industrial revolution era. This paper aims to seek new and various business models in the 4th industrial revolution era, and to examine the evolution of quality management in the changing of the industrial ecosystem. Methods: This paper examines the various strategies of approaching the 4th industrial revolution in Germany, the USA, Japan, China, and Korea. This paper also draws detailed items by classifying the six major items of Malcolm Baldridge into large, medium, and small scale classifications, researches items from the technical perspective by applied fields, and the four major factor perspectives of quality management, as well as analyzes the relevant items in a multidimensional method. After a questionnaire survey targeting 200 quality experts was conducted, the important quality management factors were selected by applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Results: The importance of the general criteria was analyzed in the order of customers, MAKM (measurement, analysis, and knowledge management), workforce, strategy, operations, and leadership. As for the importance analysis results of the secondary subcriteria, the following items are highly analyzed: senior leadership, searching business model's innovation opportunity, customer satisfaction improvement, big data utilization, systematic management of workforce, and, planning and design quality. Conclusion: In the era of the Internet of everything, when complexity increases, this study presented a quality management direction suitable for new business methods challenging existing orders by drawing on quality management priorities.

This paper presents a bulk insertion technique for efficiently inserting data items. Traditional moving object database focused on efficient query processing that happens mainly after index building. Traditional index structures rarely considered disk I/O overhead for index rebuilding by inserting data items. This paper, to solve this problem, describes a new bulk insertion technique which efficiently induces the current positions of moving objects and reduces update cost greatly. This technique uses buffering technique for bulk insertion in spatial index structures such as R-tree. To analyze split or merge node, we add a secondary index for information management on leaf node of primary index. And operations are classified to reduce unnecessary insertion and deletion. This technique decides processing order of moving objects, which minimize split and merge cost as a result of update operations. Experimental results show that this technique reduces insertion cost as compared with existing insertion techniques.

The population of small yellow croaker, Larimichthys polyactis, in the Yellow and East China Seas has decreased significantly since the mid 1970s. Several management measures have been introduced to conserve it, but population size remains low. To rebuild this population, it is now necessary to consider more effective management methods based on the stock assessment. To determine long-term population changes, fishery and biological data collected over 34 years (1969-2002) were analysed. Yearly fish length compositions were analysed for the time periods 1968 through 1970, 1978 through 1982, and 1993 through 2002; and catch data was available from 1969 to 2002. Annual population sizes were calculated based on length composition, the relationship between total length and body weight, and total landings. Analyses showed that since the 1970s, average size of harvested fish decreased; the proportion of less mature fish (smaller than the 50% maturity length, 19cm) in catches has increased and the estimated biomass has decreased significantly. Consequently, the main management recommendation is that juvenile fish need to be better protected to allow the rebuilding of resources to a more sustainable population level. This will require fish size limit, permissible mesh size, and closed area and season regulations.

This study is about open and secondary level Home Economics Education which is applicable to field and which includes the characteristics, purpose and problems of each open education, secondary education and home economics education. Based on the ideology of open education this study will identify the meaning of openness in terms of Home Economics Education reconstructing meaning purpose, characteristics, curriculum paradigm and curriculum. The instructional model and module which use web, will be presented as the results o the reconstruction works. The open instructional module in Home Economics Education which will be operated on the web is consisted of 1) setting the orientation of curriculum development 2) instructional model development 3) rebuilding the Home Economics Education curriculum 4)development of instructional modules and web-based materials and 5)construction of the web-site. Six instructional module begin with critical/emancipatory curriculum paradigm in open Home Economics Education use module as a unit of class management instead of 1 class, facilitates nest-type integration which is applied from open education keeping the nature of Home Economics Education and focus on practical problem and problem solving through reconceptualization with dialectical perspective on individual, family and society. The practical problem solving model has four steps: Identifying practical problems. Understanding the contexts of problem, Searching for solutions and examining its consequences, Action and evaluation. IOMMU is a hardware unit that is indispensable for DMA. Besides address translation and remapping, it also provides I/O virtual address space isolation among devices and memory access control on DMA transactions. However, currently commodity virtualization platforms lack of IOMMU virtualization, so that the virtual machines are vulnerable to DMA security threats. Previous works focus only on DMA security problem of directly assigned devices. Moreover, these solutions either introduce significant overhead or require modifications on the guest OS to optimize performance, and none can achieve high I/O efficiency and good compatibility with the guest OS simultaneously, which are both necessary for production environments. However, for simulated virtual devices the DMA security problem also exists, and previous works cannot solve this problem. The reason behind that is IOMMU circuits on the host do not work for this kind of devices as DMA operations of which are simulated by memory copy of CPU. Motivated by the above observations, we propose an IOMMU para-virtualization solution called PVIOMMU, which provides general functionalities especially DMA security guarantees for both directly assigned devices and simulated devices. The prototype of PVIOMMU is implemented in Qemu/KVM based on the virtio framework and can be dynamically loaded into guest kernel as a module, As a result, modifying and rebuilding guest kernel are not required. In addition, the device model of Qemu is revised to implement DMA access control by separating the device simulator from the address space of the guest virtual machine. Experimental evaluations on three kinds of network devices including Intel I210 (1Gbps), simulated E1000 (1Gbps) and IB ConnectX-3 (40Gbps) show that, PVIOMMU introduces little overhead on DMA transactions, and in general the network I/O performance is close to that in the native KVM implementation without IOMMU virtualization.
