An adaptive algorithm was applied to forecast daily stream flows in real time using rainfall data. A three-component tank model was selected to simulate the flows and its time-variant parameters were self-calibrated with updated data using a parameter optimization scheme, golden section search method. The resulting adaptive model, APTANK, was applied to six watersheds, ranging from 0.47 to 33.62 km$^2$ size and the simulated daily streamflows were compared with the measured. The simulation results were in good agreement with the field data. APTANK is found to be applied to real-time flow simulation purposes such as a tool for irrigation water resources management and operations. The model is particularly good to simulate streamflows on dry days as compared to wet days having runoff-induced precipitation.

In the real-time delivery of multimedia data streams over networks, the interruption of continuity in a single media stream and the mismatching of the data within the same time interval in multimedia data streams transfered in paralled on different channels are considered as the most serious synchronization problems. There are several mechanisms proposed to handle these problems. In this paper, these mechanisms are analyzed and compared in various point of view by the computer simulation. According to the simulation results, it has been shown that the method which uses the segmentation and the method which uses the seperate synchronization channel are superior to the method which uses the synchronization marks in view of the real-time transmission and quality of sevice. On the other hand, it can be seen that the method which uses the segmentation is superior to the method which uses the seperate synchronization channel from a channel utilization's point of view.
For real time dynamic simulation, two different subsystem synthesis methods with independent generalized coordinates have been developed and compared. In each formulation, the subsystem equations of motion are generated in terms of independent generalized coordinates. The first formulation is based on the relative Cartesian coordinates with respect to moving subsystem base body. The second formulation is based on the relative joint coordinates using recursive formulation. Computational efficiency of the formulations has been compared theoretically by the arithmetic operational counts. In order to verify real-time capability of the formulations, bump run simulations of a quarter car model with SLA suspension subsystem have been carried out to measure the actual CPU time.
Real-Time applications on Grid environment have several problems in terms of resource management addressed as follows; (1) dynamic resource allocation to provide QoS objectives, (2) heterogeneous resources that is different scale, or capacity in same unit, and (3) resource availability, and resource needs. This paper describes the techniques of resource manager (RM) handling above problems to support QoS of dynamic real-time applications on Grid. The contributions of this paper to solve problems are as follows: unification of dynamic resource requirements among heterogeneous hosts, control of resources in heterogeneous environments, and dynamic load balancing/sharing. Our heuristic allocation scheme works not only 257% better than random, 142% better than round robin, and 36.4% better than least load in QoS sensitivity, but also 38.6% better than random, 28.5% better than round robin, and 31.6% better than least load in QoS.

Facial rigging technology has been developing more and more since the 21st century. Facial rigging of various methods is still attempted and a technique of capturing the geometry in real time recently also appears. Currently Modern CG is produced image which is hard to distinguish from actual photograph. However, this kind of technology still requires a lot of equipment and cost. The purpose of this study is to perform facial rigging using muscle simulation instead of using such equipment. Original muscle simulations were made primarily for use in the body of a creature. In this study, however, we use muscle simulations for facial rigging to create a more realistic creature-like effect. To do this, we used Ziva Dynamics' Ziva VFX muscle simulation software. We also develop a method to overcome the disadvantages of muscle simulation. Muscle simulation can not be applied in real time and it takes time to simulate. It also takes a long time to work because the complex muscles must be connected. Our study have solved this problem using blendshape and we want to show you how to apply our method to face rig.

This paper proposed a new real-time parameter tracking algorithm. Unlike the convenience algorithms, the proposed real-time parameter tracking algorithm can estimate parameters through three-phase voltage and electric current without coordination transformation, and does not need information on magnetic flux. Therefore, it can estimate parameters regardless of the change according to operation point and cross-saturation effect. In addition, as the quasi-real-time parameter tracking technique can estimate parameters through the four fundamental arithmetic operations instead of complicated algorithms such as numerical value analysis technique and observer design, it can be applied to low-performance DSP. In this paper, a new real-time parameter tracking algorithm is derived from three phase equation. The validity and usefulness of the proposed inductance estimation technique is verified by simulation and experimental results.

A new dynamic scheduling algorithm is proposed for CAN-based real-time system in this paper. The proposed algorithm is extended from an existing EDS(Earliest Deadline Scheduling) approach having a solution to the priority inversion. Using the proposed algorithm, the available bandwidth of network media can be checked dynamically, and consequently arbitration delay causing the miss of deadline can be avoided. Also, non-real time messages can be processed with their bandwidth allocation. Full network utilization and real-time transmission feasibility can be achieved through the algorithm. To evaluate the performance of algorithm, two simulation tests are performed. The first one is transmission data measurement per minute for periodic messages and the second one is feasibility in the system with both periodic messages and non-real time message.

In this paper, we develope a LOB(Limit Order Book) analyzing tool for an automated trading system, which features real-time and offline analysis of LOB data in conjunction with execution data. The 10-tier LOB data analyzer developed in this paper, which contains ask/bid prices and the execution data, receivs transaction requests in real-time from the Kiwoom Open API+ server. In the OnReceiveTrData event, the transaction data from the server is received and processed. The real-time data, triggered by the transaction, is received and processed in the OnReceiveRealData event. These two types of data are stored in a database and replayed in the same way as if it were a real-time situation in simulation mode. The LOB data are selectively read and analyzed in a necessary time points. The tool provides various features such as bar chart analysis and pattern analysis of the total shares on the bid side and ask side, which are used to develop a tool to accurately determine the timing of stock trading.
Advances in 3D garment simulation technology contribute greatly to consumers becoming more immersed in movies and games by realistically expressing the garments the characters in the movie or game are wearing. The fashion industry has reached a point where it needs to maximize efficiency in production and distribution to go beyond time and space in order to compete on the global market. The processes of design and product development in the fashion industry require countless hours of work and consume vast resources in terms of materials and energy to repeat sample production and assessment. Therefore, the design and product development tools and techniques must aim to reduce the sample making process. Therefore, this study aims to study a case for comparing the real garment sample making process to the virtual garment sample making process. In this study, we have analysed the differences between the real and virtual garment making processes by choosing designated patterns. As we can see from the study results, the real and virtual garments generally are made through similar processes in manufacturing, while the time consumed for each shows great variation. In real garment making, scissoring and sewing require the greatest number of work hours, whereas in virtual garment making, most of the time was spent in the simulation process.

Construction project is completed through several stages and problems of each stage affect directly not only now but also next. Defect of 2D drawings influence in construction phase, and it make many loss on project. Nowadays we practically use real Mock-up test in construction sites to solve the problems. But it also has many problems which are waste much money and time. Therefore, this study tries to analyze effect that is occurred by appling BIM Mock-up simulation instead of real Mock-up execution. These analysis is conducted by comparing two construction building site. These have same shape but one is made for BIM Mock-up, and another is real Mock-up. Comparison points of view are cost, time and operator's satisfaction. It is expect that BIM Mock-up is more effective at low cost and on shorter time. But our analysis show that each are conducted different part of function. So new Mock-up type is required. Hybrid Mock-up is combine real mock-up with BIM simulation and it can minimize risk of project.
