  • The Aim of this development is the management of a forecasting analysis program based on a real-time remote sensing data. Using this program it is possible to predict a failure of levee facilities in advance. therefor, it is necessary for making plans of a safety countermove. In this development we have researched the analysis method which could operate effectively the levee facilities using real-time monitoring data from a remote sensing system and the safety managerial program using the algorism from the analysis method developed.

  • The real-time tracking system is an essential factor for the development of low cost sensor networks for use in pervasive computing and ubiquitous networking. In this paper, we address the interference problems of the sensor network platform with ultrasonic for location tracking system. Ubiquitous indoor environments often contain substantial amounts of metal and other such reflective materials that affect the propagation of radio frequency signals in non-trivial ways, causing severe multi-path effects, dead-spots, noise, and interference. Especially we present a novel reducing interference location system that is particularly well suited to support context-aware computing. The system called Pharos, aims to combine the advantages of real-time tracking systems that implement distributed environment with regardless of infrastructure or infrastructure-less wireless sensor networks.

  • The optimal shipping location is determined by measuring the volume and weights of cargo shipped to non-standard cargo carriers. Currently, workers manually measure cargo volume, but automate it to improve work inefficiency. In this paper, we proposed the method of a real-time volume calculation using LiDar sensor for automating cargo measurement of non-standard cargo. For this purpose, we utilized the statistical techniques for data preprocessing and volume calculation, also used Voxel Grid filter to light weighted of data which are appropriate in real-time calculation. We implemented the function of Normal vectors and Triangle Mesh to generate surfaces and Alpha Shapes algorithms to process 3D modeling.

  • The rapid growth of camera technology can provide various types of information which was not previously provided. Furthermore, IP camera which has rapid data transfer rate and high resolution particularly provide a lot of useful functions beyond the existing simple surveillance capabilities. We are developing Real-Time Face Recognition Access Control System based on the camera technology, and improvement of face detection and recognition algorithms are vitally needed to realize that system. In this paper, we proposes a method to improve the computing speed and detection rate by adding new features to the existing Viola-Jones detection algorithm.

  • The IEEE 802.16 wireless metropolitan area network (WMAN) standard is designed to correct expensive communication costs in CDMA-based mobile communication systems and limited coverage problems in wireless LAN systems. Thus, the IEEE 802.16e standard can provide mobile high-speed packet access between mobile stations and the Internet service provider through the base station with cheap communication fees. To efficiently accommodate voice over IP (VoIP) services in IEEE 802.16 systems, an uplink quality of service packet-scheduling scheme is proposed, and its performance is evaluated with an NS-2 network simulator in this paper. Numerical results show that this proposed scheme can increase the system capacity by 100% more than in the unsolicited rand service (UGS) scheme and 30% more than the extended real-time polling service (ertPS) scheme, respectively.

  • Real-time thermal image is obtained by thermal imaging systems measuring radiant emittence according to law of Plank's blackbody radiation. The histogram of thermal image is not uniform. The signal bands of background and target are separated and grouped in narrow bands. In such a system, contrast enhancement indispensible to distinguish target from background. In this study, plateau histogram equalization using local histogram is proposed for contrast enhancement.

  • In this case study, a S/W optimized for ground vibration monitoring and analysis was developed. It was applied at vibrating compaction works for the ground improvement needed for the expansion of terminal 5 in Chagi International Airport in Singapore. The possible application of the new vibration analysis software to similar works like pile driving and the capability of long term and real time of the repeated wave vibration at seawalls, the vibration occurring from large structures like super tall buildings, tunnels, long cable hanging bridges, and etc were investigated.

  • This paper suggests a new industrial automation system architecture which adopts the Real-Time CORBA as a solution for the recently emerging problems, such as cost eciency, interoperability with different networks, software productivity, etc. This paper shows how the adoption of RT-CORBA helps end-users to improve software productivity in the heterogeneous distributed system integrate eldbus with different kinds of network easily and lower the cost of hardware medication and extension, Finally, CRECO - a real- time CORBA which is in development and suited to industrial automation system - is introduced. RT-Linux and Probus - two major components while implementing the CRECO - are dealt with primarily.
