LT 협동학습 기반의 앱 인벤터 프로그래밍 교육이 초등학생들의 학습 동기에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Learning App Inventor Programming of LT Collaborative Learning based on Children's Motivation)

  • 프로그래밍 교육을 통해 학생들의 고차원적인 사고력을 배양하기 위해서는 문법을 익히는데 유발되는 과도한 인지적 부담을 줄여야한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 다양한 교육용 프로그래밍 언어가 개발되었고, 최근에는 블록 기반으로 실생활에 활용할 수 있는 앱 인벤터가 소개되었다. 학생들이 실생활에 쉽게 활용 가능한 앱을 설계 제작함으로써 문제 해결의 도구로 프로그래밍을 주도적으로 활용할 수 있는 교육 환경을 제시하고자 한다. 특히 초등학생은 발달단계상 구체적 조작 활동이 중요하기 때문에 프로그래밍 과정에서 스마트폰의 다양한 센서를 기반으로 실세계와 역동적으로 상호작용하도록 제시할 수 있는 앱 인벤터는 초등학생 교육용 프로그래밍 언어로 의미가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학생을 대상으로 실생활에 활용할 수 있는 앱 인벤터 프로그래밍 교육을 설계하였다. 초등학생 5학년을 대상으로 적용한 결과 프로그래밍 학습에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 서로 협력하는 LT 협동학습과 스마트폰의 여러 가지 센서를 실생활에 활용할 수 있는 학습주제 그리고 앱 인벤터의 활용이 학생들의 흥미와 관심을 유발하고 지속시켰다고 판단된다.

알코올중독자 자녀의 삶에 대한 역설적 대처 (The Paradoxical Coping In Life of Children of Alcoholics)

  • A phenomenological methodology was used to identify the life of children living with alcoholic parents. Nine adolescents participated in the in-depth interviews, done between October and December 2001. The Colaizzi's method was used for data analysis. The results of this study are as follows. One theme and thirteen meanings were identified, The one theme is Paradoxical Coping in Life. The meanings are obsessive behavior as a way to control father's behavior, always on the defensive due to anxiety and tension, being afraid of life alone due to paranoid thoughts, contradictory expectations about father's drinking behavior due to life with chronic tension, stress becoming familiar and life being boring and tendious without stimulation, life that is fake and filled with misinterpretations about reality, affection sought from others due to loneliness, compensatory life within peer group, negative expectation about the future due to negative experiences, controling others to protect ego, denial of real emotion to protect self from hurt, life of regretting self, and strong need for approval from others. The results of this study can provide a foundation for the development of programs for children of alcohol dependent parents.

돼지의 웅돈계열에 따른 도체형질 및 육질 변화에 관한 연구 (Breed Effects of Terminal Sires on Carcass Traits and Meat Quality in Commercial Pig Industry)

  • 본 연구는 돼지의 웅돈 계열에 따른 효과를 알아보기 위하여 425두에 대하여 도체특성, 부분육 생산량 및 육질특성을 조사하였다. 웅돈계열은 수입국과 품종에 따라 5계열(D1, D2, B1, B2, BD)로 나누었다. 결과를 살펴보면, D1계열과 D2계열에서 높은 1+등급 출현율을 보였고, 육량등급에서는 B1, B2, D1계열에서 높은 A등급 출현율을 보였다. 부분육 생산량에서 D1계열이 목심, 갈비, 앞다리, 등심, 삼겹살, 안심에서 많은 부분육 생산량을 보였다. 일반성분에서 수분함량은 B1계열에서 가장 높은 수분함량을 보였으며, D1계열에서 유의적으로 높은 단백질함량과 지방함량은 보였다(p<0.05). 전단가는 B1계열에서 유의적으로 낮은 값을 보였다(p<0.05). 육색은 D1, D2, BD계열에서 유의적으로 높은 명도 값을 보였고, B2계열에서 유의적으로 낮은 값을 보였으며, D1, D2, BD계열에서 유의적으로 높은 황색도 값을 보였다(p<0.05). 관능평가는 D1과 D2계열에서 유의적으로 낮은 육즙 삼출을 보였고, 마블링과 종합적인 기호도에서 유의적으로 높은 값을 보였다(p<0.05). 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 웅돈의 선택에 있어서 1+등급 출현율이 높고, 삼겹살 중량이 많고, 명도 값이 높으며, 관능평가에서 좋은 결과를 보여준 D1과 D2계열을 이용하는 것이 생산자 및 농가 소득에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

The effect of heat stress on frame switch splicing of X-box binding protein 1 gene in horse

  • Objective: Among stress responses, the unfolded protein response (UPR) is a well-known mechanism related to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. ER stress is induced by a variety of external and environmental factors such as starvation, ischemia, hypoxia, oxidative stress, and heat stress. Inositol requiring enzyme $1{\alpha}$ ($IRE1{\alpha}$)-X-box protein 1 (XBP1) is the most conserved pathway involved in the UPR and is the main component that mediates $IRE1{\alpha}$ signalling to downstream ER-associated degradation (ERAD)- or UPR-related genes. XBP1 is a transcription factor synthesised via a novel mechanism called 'frame switch splicing', and this process has not yet been studied in the horse XBP1 gene. Therefore, the aim of this study was to confirm the frame switch splicing of horse XBP1 and characterise its dynamics using Thoroughbred muscle cells exposed to heat stress. Methods: Primary horse muscle cells were used to investigate heat stress-induced frame switch splicing of horse XBP1. Frame switch splicing was confirmed by sequencing analysis. XBP1 amino acid sequences and promoter sequences of various species were aligned to confirm the sequence homology and to find conserved cis-acting elements, respectively. The expression of the potential XBP1 downstream genes were analysed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Results: We confirmed that splicing of horse XBP1 mRNA was affected by the duration of thermal stress. Twenty-six nucleotides in the mRNA of XBP1 were deleted after heat stress. The protein sequence and the cis-regulatory elements on the promoter of horse XBP1 are highly conserved among the mammals. Induction of putative downstream genes of horse XBP1 was dependent on the duration of heat stress. We confirmed that both the mechanisms of XBP1 frame switch splicing and various binding elements found in downstream gene promoters are highly evolutionarily conserved. Conclusion: The frame switch splicing of horse XBP1 and its dynamics were highly conserved among species. These results facilitate studies of ER-stress in horse.

  • In this paper, the real-time prediction of high temperature creep strength and creep for nickel-based superalloy Udimet 720 (high-temperature and high-pressure gas turbine engine materials) was performed on round-bar type specimens under pure load at the temperatures of 538, 649 and 704$^{\circ}C$. The predictive equation of ISM creep has better reliability than that of LMP and LMP-ISM, and its reliability is getting better for long time creep prediction ($10^3~10^5$h).

On the Estimation of Parameters in ALT under Generalized Exponential Distribution

  • The two parameter generalized exponential distribution was recently introduced by Gupta and Kundu (1999). It is observed that the generalized exponential distribution can be used quite effectively to analyze skewed data set. This paper develops the accelerated life test model using generalized exponential distribution and considers maximum likelihood estimation of parameters under the tampered random variable model. To show the performance of proposed maximum likelihood estimates, some simulation will be performed. Using a real data set, an example will be given.

  • This paper treats accelerated life tests for automotive connector. The contact resistance of connector is explained by some factors; the use time(calender time, real cycle), stresses and loads adapted in auto test. The relationships between contact resistance and some factors are compared and analyzed by regression models in various test conditions; field use-environment, manufacturer's test environment, and accelerated test condition. The consistency between of manufacturer's test and field test is examined. Finally, the future study on accelerated test for automotive connector is presented.
