Reading education is very important in order to promote the refinement, cultivate the emotion and complete the character to the secondary school students. This thesis deals with the establishment of reading education as a formal course in secondary schools, responsibility of teaching and problems related to recommended reading lists. Reading education must separate from the national language education because of literature centered education in reading education. If reading education was separated from the national language education, students can a n.0, pproach to the other cultural boundary besides other own and exchange their information and ideas. So, reading education must be included to the elective subjects in a independent course or become a compulsory subject in secondary school curriculum. The teacher of reading education must become the teacher librarian who has a firm faith and an intellectual accomplishment. But, teacher-librarian has much disadvantages such as the problems of promotion, the division of qualification between elementary school and secondary school, and a short-term training courses for teacher-librarian. Hence, theses problems music be solved in national administrative level. Recommended reading lists must be provided to the student in order to prevent confusion of the sense of value, to estimate their own reading ability by themselves and to establish life long reading plan. Therefore, both Korean Library Association and the Ministry of Education should re-examine and develop recommended reading lists. Finally, problems of a juvenile delinquency in the post industrial society have to be solved through reading education. To solve the juvenile delinquency problems, adolescents should cultivate their moral character and possesses abundant knowledge through reading education. Then, young adults will grow as sound citizen in the society.

최근 컴퓨터를 이용한 웹 환경에서 독자의 독서활동과 이력을 누적해서 관리하는 독서인증시스템과 종합적인 독서교육이 가능한 독서교육지원시스템이 개발되어 일선 학교에 적용되고 있다. 독서교육지원시스템의 독서기록은 독자에게 독서생활의 향상, 독해의 심화, 사고력 신장 그리고 자기통찰과 인격형성에 기여할 수 있으며, 지도자에게는 독자의 독서량, 독서영역, 독서수준, 독해의 깊이 등의 독서실태를 파악하여 체계적인 독서교육을 위한 기초자료를 제공해 줄 수 있다. 독서교육지원시스템은 개개인의 독서이력을 누적해서 기록할 수 있고, 시간적, 공간적 제약을 받지 않는 특징이 있으며, 아동과 학생의 독서교육을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있다. 독서교육지원시스템의 메뉴는 독서수준 검사, 독서자료, 독후활동, 독서인증, 독서이력 관리, 교사의 지도 등으로 구성할 수 있다.

본 연구는 독서교육 지도자가 갖추어야 할 자질을 살펴보고, 미국, 일본, 우리나라의 독서교육 지도자 양성을 위한 교육프로그램을 비교하여 독서교육 지도자 양성프로그램 안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 미국의 독서교육지도자 양성프로그램은 교육학과 국어교과를 중심으로 구성되어 있고, 문해교육을 중시하고 있으며, 일본은 독서교육의 학문적 체계를 중시하고 여러 가지 독서활동을 강조하며, 독서교육과 관련된 인접학문을 강조하고 있다. 우리나라의 경우는 국어교과 중심의 프로그램으로 읽기와 독해중심으로 구성되어 있다. 독서교육 지도자 양성을 위한 교육 프로그램은 독서의 3요소인 독자, 독서자료, 지도자를 중심으로 하고, 여기에 이론과 철학을 포함시키고, 교육경험과 실습을 강조하며, 독서교육과 관련이 있는 인접학문을 포괄할 수 있는 교육프로그램이 되어야 한다.

이 연구의 목적은 D대학교 신입생들의 독서 행태를 조사 분석하여 대학생의 독서교육 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 독서교육 방안으로 중앙도서관의 각종 행사 개최, 관련학과의 독서교육 과목 채택, 독서인증제 도입, 필독도서목록 작성, 독서 교양과목 학점 인정, 매체를 통한 독서교육, 독서의 필수과목 채택 등을 제시하였다.

이 연구는 고등학생 대상 보드게임 기반 독서교육 프로그램이 학생들의 자아존중감 및 독서태도에 미치는 영향과 만족도를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 10차시로 구성된 독서활동 프로그램을 개발하여, 독서교육을 실시하였으며, 자아존중감 및 독서태도의 사전-사후 차이 분석을 통하여 독서교육과의 영향 관계를 입증하고, 독서교육 전 과정에 대한 평가 절차로 만족도 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 보드게임 기반 독서활동 프로그램을 활용한 독서교육은 학생들의 자아존중감과 독서태도에 영향을 미치며, 학생들의 독서태도 역량과 독서 동기 강화에 도움이 되었고, 만족도 또한 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다.

This study attempts to seek a solution, in terms of brain science, to stimulate reading activities of men to whom no attention has been given from the field of reading. In order to do so, brain pattern, reading tendency, reading preference, reading effectiveness and influence of reading were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, first, it showed that respondents' characteristics did not affect brain patterns, but school and social influences on reading were found to affect brain patterns. Second, reading propensity according to gender was observed to be different in terms of personal health, personal self - esteem, and cultural artistry. On the other hand, reading effectiveness was found to be different in terms of reading engagement and the willingness to continue reading whereas reading propensity according to the brain pattern was different in books related to humor and family matters. Third, reading satisfaction, reading engagement and willingness to continue reading all were observed to affect the reading activities of men. Suggesting measures to stimulate reading activities of men based on such findings, first, implementing dynamic reading education programs and finding reading models for men are needed. Second, when selecting books for reading program operations, books should be recommended according to gender rather than being selected en bloc by libraries. Third, since reading education at home shows high influences on both male and male-type brain pattern, the starting point of reading education should be made at homes. In particular, fathers, who can become a role model for men, need a reading role model, and reading education programs for fathers are also required.

본 연구는 학교도서관 중심의 독서교육을 위한 내용체계 즉, 범위와 계열을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 기존의 독서교육 내용체계를 비교 분석하여 공통적인 요소를 추출하고, 이를 바탕으로 우리나라의 실정에 맞는 독서교육의 내용체계 즉, 범위와 계열을 설정하였다. 우리나라의 고등학교 독서 교과의 교육과정은 물론 미국과 일본의 대표적인 독서 관련 교육과정의 내용체계를 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 10개 영역, 45개 요소의 독서교육 내용(요소)을 1차적으로 설정하였다. 초 중등학교 현장의 사서교사를 대상으로 설문조사하여 1차적으로 설정한 독서교육의 범위(요소)에 대한 타당성과 지도하기에 적합한 학교 급별 수준을 조사한 후 최종적으로 학교도서관 중심의 독서교육 내용체계 즉, 범위와 계열을 제안하였다.

Purpose: Previous studies rarely investigated the effects of the metacognitive reading strategies on reading engagement, particularly in globalized higher education, while those studies examined reading problems and engagement with lower reading level. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the metacognitive reading strategies including global reading, problem solving, and supporting reading on reading engagement that include argentic, behavior, emotional, and cognitive engagement in global learning environment. This study investigated research questions: how do global reading, problem solving, and supporting reading strategies affect argentic, behavior, emotional, and cognitive reading engagement? Research design, Data, and methodology: This study collected data via online survey in globalized learning environment. This study applied statistical analyses, such as factor and regression analyses and ANOVA. Results: The results of this study showed that metacognitive reading strategies had significant effects on student reading engagement while they were reading class materials in English for academic purposes. Conclusions: This study provides managerial implications in higher education by providing better strategies to enhance learning skills in global context. In particular, this study provides implications that the effects of problem solving and supporting strategies could be improved by adopting better management systems in globalized education.

현행 초등학교 독서교육은, 각 교과 교육과정과의 연계와 다양한 독서교육 방법의 모색이나 구안, 적용이 없이 실시되고 있으며, 여러 독서교육 프로그램의 부재와 현장 전문인력의 부족, 가정과 학교의 정서적.공간적 단절로 인한 지속적인 독서교육 실시의 어려움 등이 문제점으로 제기되고 있다. 이와같은 문제점을 인식하여 본 논문에서는 전자 도서관 및 각종 독서 관련 활동의 정보 공유가 가능한 독서교육의 보조 시스템으로서의 웹 기반 독서교육지원시스템을 구안하였다. 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 독서교육지원시스템을 통하여 학생들의 실생활과 연결된 독서교육을 가능케 하며, 도서관리, 독후감 및 독후화 게시, 권장도서 정보 등을 제공하는 전자도서관을 통하여 초등학교 독서교육을 활성화시키고, 다양한 독서교육 프로그램을 개발할 수 있으며, 가정과 학교와의 유대를 강화시킬 수 있을 것이다. 또한 학교와 단위학급별 모듈 구현을 통하여 단위 학급의 각종 독후 활동과 관련된 지식과 정보를 학교 단위에서 공유하고 나눔으로써, 각종 독서교육 관련 자료의 공유와 통계작성 등이 가능하도록 하였다.

독서 교육은 교과뿐 아니라 인성 교육에까지 영향을 주기 때문에 교육 현장에서 중요하게 인정되어 수행되고 있다. 그러나 현실적인 많은 어려움으로 인해 독서 교육을 수행하는데 많은 제약이 있다. 현재까지 수행되어 오던 전통적인 교육 방법은 컴퓨터와 정보 통신 기술의 발달로 인해서 그 방법의 전환이 필요하게 되었으며, 이는 독서 교육 영역에서도 적용된다. 독서교육에서 논리적 사고와 토의력을 지속적으로 증진시키기 위해서는 시 공간적 제약 없이 다른 학습자들과의 상호작용 기회가 많이 제공되어 서로간의 생각이 교환되어져야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 환경을 제공하기 위하여 독서 교육 시스템에 필요한 요소들을 살펴 보고 독서 지도에 따라 여러 가지 독서 활동을 할 수 있는 웹에 기반한 독서 교육 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.
