  • 디지틸워터마킹은 디지털콘텐츠의 저작권보호 솔루션으로서 현재 주로 이미지, 오디오, 비디오, 텍스트 등을 대상으로 연구되고 있다. 컴퓨터 하드웨어, 네트워크, 그리고, 응용 소프트웨어의 빠른 발전과 함께 국가 차원의 초고속 통신망의 인프라 구축에 힘입어, 3차원 폴리곤과 곡선 및 곡면에 대한 디지털워터마킹에 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유리 베지에곡선에 대한 디지털워터마킹에 대한 하나의 방법을 제시한다. 기존의 베지에곡선의 차수를 증가시키는 일반적인 방법이 아닌 유리항의 분모와 분자에 공통의 다항식을 곱하여 차수를 증가시킨다. 이때 공통으로 칠하는 다항식의 관들의 복비(cross ratio) 값에 우리가 숨기고자하는 마크를 삽입하고, 추출해내는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시된 알고리듬은 워터마크를 삽입하는 과정에서 곡선의 형태를 전혀 변화시키지 않는 형태 유지성(shape preserving property)을 갖는다. 또한. 본 알고리듬의 다른 중요한 특징은 곡선이 CAD 시스템에 의해 이용되는 과정에서 흔히 일어나는 재매개화 방법 중 뫼비우스 변환을 이용한 재매개화에 저항성이 있는 알고리듬이라는 것이다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 제시한 방범에 의한 예제의 결과를 보여준다.

자유곡선의 모델링기능을 활용한 대화식 수퍼요트 프로파일 설계시스템 개발 (An Interactive Design System for Construction of Superyacht Profiles based on Freeform Curve Functionality)

  • As a preliminary step to build a complete superyacht hull design program, the development of superyacht profile design system is introduced. The two-dimensional hull profile is decomposed into four local zones depending upon the functionality and connecting continuity of the profile. Characteristics of each zone are investigated and used to generate the model describing the geometric shape of zone using freeform curves. A set of design parameters is derived from the established geometric model. Generation and modification of a model are is by manipulating the chosen parameters. Four zones designed are integrated to form a final profile. An interactive design system performing all the modeling and modification processes is implemented using the graphic user interface system based an Microsoft Foundation Class and OpenCASCADE, a open graphic library. The shapes of the profiles generated by the developed design system are verified with those of built superyachts. The developed design system will be used for the construction of three-dimensional superyacht hull modeling system.

A hardening model considering grain size effect for ion-irradiated polycrystals under nanoindentation

  • In this work, a new hardening model is proposed for the depth-dependent hardness of ion-irradiated polycrystals with obvious grain size effect. Dominant hardening mechanisms are addressed in the model, including the contribution of dislocations, irradiation-induced defects and grain boundaries. Two versions of the hardening model are compared, including the linear and square superposition models. A succinct parameter calibration method is modified to parametrize the models based on experimentally obtained hardness vs. indentation depth curves. It is noticed that both models can well characterize the experimental data of unirradiated polycrystals; whereas, the square superposition model performs better for ion-irradiated materials, therefore, the square superposition model is recommended. In addition, the new model separates the grain size effect from the dislocation hardening contribution, which makes the physical meaning of fitted parameters more rational when compared with existing hardness analysis models.

A dynamic reliability approach to seismic vulnerability analysis of earth dams

  • Seismic vulnerability assessment is a useful tool for rational safety analysis and planning of large and complex structural systems; it can deal with the effects of uncertainties on the performance of significant structural systems. In this study, an efficient dynamic reliability approach, probability density evolution methodology (PDEM), is proposed for seismic vulnerability analysis of earth dams. The PDEM provides the failure probability of different limit states for various levels of ground motion intensity as well as the mean value, standard deviation and probability density function of the performance metric of the earth dam. Combining the seismic reliability with three different performance levels related to the displacement of the earth dam, the seismic fragility curves are constructed without them being limited to a specific functional form. Furthermore, considering the seismic fragility analysis is a significant procedure in the seismic probabilistic risk assessment of structures, the seismic vulnerability results obtained by the dynamic reliability approach are combined with the results of probabilistic seismic hazard and seismic loss analysis to present and address the PDEM-based seismic probabilistic risk assessment framework by a simulated case study of an earth dam.

Proposals for flexural capacity prediction method of externally prestressed concrete beam

  • Flexural capacity prediction is a challenging problem for externally prestressed concrete beams (EPCBs) due to the unbonded phenomenon between the concrete beam and external tendons. Many prediction equations have been provided in previous research but typically ignored the differences in deformation mode between internal and external unbonded tendons. The availability of these equations for EPCBs is controversial due to the inconsistent deformation modes and ignored second-order effects. In this study, the deformation characteristics and collapse mechanism of EPCB are carefully considered, and the ultimate deflected shape curves are derived based on the simplified curvature distribution. With the compatible relation between external tendons and the concrete beam, the equations of tendon elongation and eccentricity loss at ultimate states are derived, and the geometric interpretation is clearly presented. Combined with the sectional equilibrium equations, a rational and simplified flexural capacity prediction method for EPCBs is proposed. The key parameter, plastic hinge length, is emphatically discussed and determined by the sensitivity analysis of 324 FE analysis results. With 94 collected laboratory-tested results, the effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed, and comparisons with the previous formulas are made. The results show the better prediction accuracy of the proposed method for both stress increments and flexural capacity of EPCBs and the main reasons are discussed.

Finite element micro-modelling of RC frames with variant configurations of infill masonry

  • The presence of infill generally neglected in design despite the fact that infill contribution significantly increase the lateral stiffness and strength of the reinforced concrete frame structure. Several experimental studies and computational models have been proposed to capture the rational response of infill-frame interaction at global level. However, limited studies are available on explicit finite element modelling to study the local behavior due to high computation and convergence issues in numerical modelling. In the current study, the computational modelling of RC frames is done with various configurations of infill masonry in terms of types of blocks, lateral loading and reinforcement detailing employed with material nonlinearities, interface contact issues and bond-slip phenomenon particularly near the beam-column joints. To this end, extensive computational modelling of five variant characteristics test specimens extracted from the detailed experimental program available in literature and process through nonlinear static analysis in FEM code, ATENA generally used to capture the nonlinear response of reinforced concrete structures. Results are presented in terms of damage patterns and capacity curves by employing the finest possible detail provided in the experimental program. Comparative analysis shows that good correlation amongst the experimental and numerical simulated results both in terms of capacity and crack patterns.

완성계 강사장교의 극한 거동의 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study of Ultimate Behavior of Steel Cable-stayed Bridges)

  • 본 논문은 비선형 해석을 통한 완성계 강사장교의 극한 거동에 대해 다룬다. 사장교는 재료적 비선형성과 함께 다양한 기하학적 비선형성을 나타내므로 극한 거동을 명확히 규명하려면 반드시 합리적인 비선형해석이 수행되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 합리적인 극한 해석기법을 통해 활하중에 대한 강사장교의 주요한 극한거동을 규명하고자 하였다. 강사장교의 비선형 해석을 위하여 비선형 트러스 요소 및 비선형 프레임 요소를 이용하였고, 강재의 재료적 비선형성을 효율적으로 고려하기 위해 개선소성힌지법을 이용하였다. 활하중에 대한 극한 거동을 합리적으로 분석하기 위해 본 연구에서는 초기형상해석-활하중 해석으로 이어지는 2단계 해석기법을 통해 극한 해석을 수행하였다. 해석 모델은 총 지간장이 920.0 m 사장교를 이용하였고, 방사형 및 팬 형 사장교를 해석에 이용하였다. 극한해석결과를 통해 얻은 하중-변위 곡선, 구조물 변형형상, 소성단면, 휨모멘트분포도 등을 분석하여 활하중에 대한 완성계 사장교의 주요한 극한 거동을 규명하였다.

배수성능 평가를 위한 침투능 산정기법에 관한 연구(II) (Estimation Method of Infiltration Capacity for Assessment of Drainage Capacity II)

  • 사질토지반에서 적용할 수 있는 합리적인 침투능 산정기법을 제시하기 위하여 실내실험결과를 분석한 결과, 단위중량이 감소함에 따라 침투속도는 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 강우강도가 증가함에 따라 침투속도 또한 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 논문에서 제안한 초기침투능 감소상수(α계수)를 적용한 침투능 변화 곡선에 대하여 비교·분석한 결과 시간에 따른 침투능 변화가 거의 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 침투능 및 침투량 산정 시 널리 사용되고 있는 Horton 경험식이 사질토지반에서는 적용이 어려운 점을 개선하여 침투능 산정 모형을 제안하였다.

A Survival Analysis of Gastric or Colorectal Cancer Patients Treated With Surgery: Comparison of Capital and a Non-capital City

  • Objectives: The objective of the present study was to compare prognosis of patients with gastric or colorectal cancer according to places where they received surgeries. Methods: The cancer patients underwent surgeries in sampled hospitals located in Daegu were matched 1:1 to the patients who visited sampled hospitals in Seoul using propensity score method. After the occurrences of death were examined, Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis and the log-rank test was performed to compare the survival curves. Results: A total of six out of 291 gastric cancer patients who had surgeries in Daegu died (2.1%) and ten deaths (3.4%) occurred from patients went Seoul hospitals. Out of 84 gastric cancer patients who had chemotherapy after surgeries in Daegu, 13 (15.5%) patients died while 18 (21.4%) deaths occurred among patients underwent surgeries in Seoul. Six deaths (6.9%) out of 87 colorectal cancer patients who had surgeries in Daegu were reported. Five patients (5.7%) died among the patients underwent surgeries in Seoul. Among the colorectal cancer patients with chemotherapy after surgeries, 13 patients (12.4%) who visited hospitals in Daegu and 14 (13.3%) patients who used medical centers in Seoul died. There were no significant differences according to places where patients used medical services. Conclusions: The result of this study is expected to be used as basic data for policy making to resolve centralization problem of cancer patients and to help patients to make rational choices in selection of medical centers.

불포화 함수특성의 경로의존성을 고려한 현장사면 수리거동 예측 (Predicted Hydraulic Behavior in In-Situ Soil Slope Using the Path-Dependent Soil Water Characteristic Curve)

  • 불포화상태 지반의 흡수력과 응력변화를 반영한 토사사면의 전체 안정성 평가에서 매우 중요한 상태평가 입력변수로 함수특성곡선이 활용되고 있다. 함수특성의 경로의존성은 일반적으로 건조와 습윤과정으로 이력현상을 내포하는데 현장계측결과는 주로 실내실험의 습윤과정에 가깝게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 이를 비정상류 해석에 적용하여 해석과 현장 계측된 결과들을 비교 검토하였다. 또한 심도가 증가할수록 강우의 영향이 작고 습윤과정을 적용해 산정된 값에 근접하였다. 따라서 불포화 토사사면 해석 시에 경로의존 함수특성곡선을 적용하여 안정성을 판단하는 것이 보다 합리적인 결과로 판단된다.
