  • Use Case Point(UCP) is a measure of a software project size for software effort estimation based on use case. UCP measures the size of the software project based on the use case model. Because UCP is based on the use case model, it is intuitive and easy to obtain. Also, it does not require extra artifacts. On the other hand, UCP has some problems. UCP assumes every transaction has the same complexity. But, the number of operations and complexity of operations may affect complexity of transaction. In addition, UCP uses simple rating scale of complexity, but it may be inadequate for detailed estimates. To solve these problems, we suggest "Transaction Point(TP)", a size measure based on use case transaction. TP considers actors and operations in transaction. Complexity of transaction is based on the number of operations and complexity of operation, so it can support detailed estimation.

  • As a society is becoming more and more complicated people living in modern times are experiencing more stresses for various reasons. Some past research results proved the role of clothing in reducing the stresses. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the preference of the mini-style which is recently most fashionable styles is related to the psychological factors such as stress and body satisfaction. Measure Instrument were Nolmes and Masuda(1973)'s SRRS(Social Readjustment Rating Scal) Secord and Jourard(1953)' Body Cathexis Scale and mini-style preference scale by author Survey questionnaires were distributed to two hundred seventy adult women living in Seoul area during may 25 1992. through June 8. 1992. The age range of the subjects was from 30 to 49 The final number of subjects in-cluded in the statistical analysis was 244. The result and conclusions are as follows: 1. Significant difference was existed in mini-style preference between high and low body satisfaction groups. Mini-style was pre-ferred by high body satisfaction group than low body satisfaction group. 2, Significant difference was existed in mini-style preference between high and low stress groups. Mini-style was preferred by low stress group than high stress group. 3. Regarding demographic characteristics unmarried 2 year college graduates with low family income in their early 30's pref. mini-style. 4. There was a marginal interaction effect of demographic characteristics on the relation-ship between mini-style preference and body satisfaction. The higher preference and body satisfaction. The higher preference for mini-style was found for the higher body satis-faction group mostly with the age range of 35 to 39 married 4 year college graduates as drop-puts and mid less income group. 5. There was a marginal interaction effect of demographic variables on the relatonship be-tween mini style preference and stress level The higher preference for mini-style was re-lated to the low stress level group mostly with age group of 35 to 44 high school graduates or lower and highest income group regardless of their marital status. In sum mini-style seems to be preferred by women who feel relatively less stress and are more satisfied with their bodies thus psycho-logically stable.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of the therapeutic sports massage(TSM) applied to the patients with delayed onset muscle soreness(DOMS) by measuring, assessing and analyzing the changes in intensity and unpleasantness of muscle pains before and after TSM. In the therapeutic sports massage program, such methods as effleurage, petrissage and deep transverse friction were selected as traditional massage treatments frequently used for muscles with pain and spasm. Effleurage and petrissage were applied for 20 minutes in total before and after deep transverse friction treatment. After TSM, the McGill pain questionnaire word list(MPQWL), verbal rating scale(VRS), visual analogue scale(VAS) were used to measure the degree of the pain on the patients. The major findings from this study are as follows; 1. The surveyed patients range from 15 to 63 in age, with highest numbers of 18(37.50%) registered in the twenties and next ones of 14(29.17%) in the thirties. Divided by sex, 27 are men and 21 are women totalling 48 with average age of 25.7. 2. There was significant decrease in the numerical values of VAS & VRS and MPQWL immediately after TSM(p<.05). There was also significant decrease in the numerical values of MPQWL, VRS and VAS after the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th TSM(p<.05). 3. There was significant decrease in the intensity and unpleasantness of pains after TSM(p<.05). 4. From the analysis into chronological changes in the intensity and unpleasantness of pains before and after TSM with ANOVA, it became evident that the longer the period of treatment was, the higher the pains decreases drastically, while significant difference was shown in the intensity and unpleasantness of pains(p<.05). Summed up, it can be generally concluded that TSM is an effective treatment to rid the patients with DOMS of pains safely and promptly.

  • The objective of this paper is to verify clinical effects of Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu's Kwipithang(柳氏歸脾湯). They were prescribed to the enperimental student group suffering from mental stress and annoyed by psychological instability. From the biochemical examination before and after medication, we measure the amount of hormonal variation in thyroid hormone(TSH, $T_4$) and adrenocortical hormone(ACTH, cortisol) The results are as follows. 1. The average of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) in test group is $41.00\;{\pm}\;7.84$. This value is statistical significant and higher than one of normal person(age 20-39). The average of a global assesment of recent stress(GARS) scale is $28.62\;{\pm}9.00$. There is statistical correlation coefficient between SAS and GARS (p < 0.001). 2. Both Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu.s Kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) groups show statistically significant reduction of total cholesterol and triglyceride level in serum lipid after ten day medication. 3. It is observed that Lyu's Soyisan(柳氏逍遙散) and Luy's Kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) groups have increasing tendency of TSH. The statistically significant reduction of $T_4$ was found in two groups after ten day medicaton. 4. It is observed that Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu's kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) group have statistically significant reduction of serum cortisol level after ten day medication, Both groups have statistically significant reduction of plasma ACTH level after twenty day medication. From these results, it is verified that both Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu's Kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) have anti-stress effects against psychological instability and mental stress. The Lyu's Soyosn(柳氏逍遙散) shows special effectiveness in depression of liver-energy(肝氣鬱結) and the Lyu's Kwipitang (柳氏歸脾湯) is also effective in deficiency heart-blood(心血不足).

  • PURPOSE: This study is to investigate the therapeutic effect of Tetrax on balance dysfunction caused by ataxia in cerebellar stroke. METHODS: A total of thirty subjects with cerebellar stroke were recruited. The participants was divided into two groups, the experimental (n=15) and the control group (n=15). Tetrax training and conventional physical therapy (CPT) were performed in experimental group, whereas the patients in the control group were treated with CPT twice a day. Each session of the Tetrax and CPT was carried out for 30 minutes, 5 times per week for 4 weeks. Korean version of the Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (K-SARA) was the primary outcome measure, and the secondary outcomes covered Berg balance scale (BBS), falling index (FI), Timed up and go (TUG), and modified Barthel index of Korean version (K-MBI). All outcome measures were evaluated before and after 4 weeks. RESULTS: K-SARA was decreased significantly after 4 weeks intervention in both the experimental (p<.05) and the control group (p<.05). Furthermore, the experimental group produced significantly better outcomes in K-SARA, BBS, FI, and TUG compared with the control group (p=.012, p=.027, p=.008, and p=.048). There were significant correlations between K-SARA and BBS, FI, TUG, and K-MBI (p<.001, p<.001, p=.004, and p<.001). CONCLUSION: The restoration of ataxia was related with the improvement of the balance, falling risk, mobility, and activity of daily living. Tetrax training was effectively aided recovery of ataxia after cerebellar stroke.

  • Objective : Existing depression rating scales do not fully reflect depressed patients' perspective of remission, which goes beyond symptom resolution. The Remission from Depression Questionnaire (RDQ) captures a broader array of domains, and the present study examines the reliability and validity of the Korean Version of the RDQ (K-RDQ). Methods : The test-retest reliability of the K-RDQ was studied in 60 depressed patients and 30 normal subjects working at a university hospital. Subjects were evaluated at baseline and again 1-2 weeks later. The validity of the K-RDQ was studied in 200 depressed patients who were rated on the 17-item HDRS and the CGI-S ; each patient also completed the QIDS-SR, STAI-S, GHQ/QL-12, and SDS. Results : The K-RDQ demonstrated excellent internal consistency, with a Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of 0.965 for the total scale and above 0.80 for each of the 7 subscales. The test-retest reliability of the total scale was 0.951. Mean K-RDQ scores ($45.79{\pm}18.65$) of the depressed patients were significantly higher than those ($15.87{\pm}10.60$) of the mentally healthy subjects (t=12.8, p<0.001). Five factors from the K-RDQ were extracted by principal axis factoring with equimax rotation. Conclusion : These results indicate that the K-RDQ is a reliable and valid measure that evaluates multiple domains that depressed patients consider important in determining remission. Thus, the K-RDQ maybe considered an appropriate tool for use in the clinical setting.
