Recently, most of the users can easily get access to a variety of information sources about companies, products, and services through online channels. Therefore, the online user evaluations are becoming the most powerful tool to generate word of mouth. The user's evaluation is provided in two forms, quantitative rating and review text. The rating is then divided into an overall rating and a detailed rating according to various evaluation criteria. However, since it is a burden for the reviewer to complete all required ratings for each evaluation criteria, so most of the sites requested only mandatory inputs for overall rating and optional inputs for other evaluation criteria. In fact, many users input only the ratings for some of the evaluation criteria and the percentage of missed ratings for each criteria is about 40%. As these missed ratings are the missing values in each criteria, the simple average calculation by ignoring the average 40% of the missed ratings can sufficiently distort the actual phenomenon. Therefore, in this study, we propose a methodology to predict the rating for the missed values of each criteria by analyzing user's evaluation information included the overall rating and text review for each criteria. The experiments were conducted on 207,968 evaluations collected from the actual hotel evaluation site. As a result, it was confirmed that the prediction accuracy of the detailed criteria ratings by the proposed methodology was much higher than the existing average-based method.
The purposes of this study are to present the criteria for a sensibility rating scale for measuring the general women's perception of museums' spatial environment, through an empirical analysis; and to clarify the characteristics of the presented rating scale in terms of each rating element and factor. For this study, a survey was conducted during August 19 - September 16, 2010, and a total of 342 museum visitors participated in the survey. A sensibility rating scale used for the survey consisted of a total of 32 adjectives selected from a literature review of previous studies. To specify the dimensions of semantic space using the semantic adjectives, words with opposite meanings were analyzed with the semantic differential technique developed by Osgood et al. Using SPSS, a reliability analysis, factor analysis were conducted on the data obtained from the survey. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: According to the women's perception of museums' spatial environment, six factors were found from the 25 semantic ratings of the Museum. The summarized criteria were: 'aesthetic', 'pleasant', 'valuable', 'function', 'affinity', and 'material.' The derived criteria were verified through an empirical test using emotional adjectives. In the coming years, the results of this study will serve as valuable data for constructing a sensibility rating scale for evaluating spatial environments of museums.
A multiple criteria model for the facility layout problem considers both of the quantitative, the cost of the work flow, and qualitative, the closeness rating score, aspect. Rosenblatt, Fortenberry & Cox and Urban have developed multiple criteria models that consider both of the quantitative and qualitative aspect. Fortenberry & Cox's multiplicity model penalizes facilities with undesirable closeness rating and high work flows more than those undesirable closeness rating and low work flow between them to contribute to the objective function regardless of the closeness rating between these facilities. In this paper, it is intended to develops a improved multiple-criteria facility layout model considering the function for maintaning the distance between facilities.

The trigeminal nerve, one of the cranial nerves, innervates the maxillofacial area and has three branches: the ophthalmic, maxillary, and mandibular nerves. Paresthesia, due to damages to the inferior alveolar nerve and mental nerve (branches of the mandibular nerve), is quite frequent in dental implants and third molar extractions. As medical disputes are increasing, it is necessary to formulate an objective and reasonable disability evaluation. When evaluating the frequent rate of impairment for inferior alveolar nerve damage, it may be reasonable to follow the criteria for the rate of maxillofacial impairment of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) - the most scientific and reputable criteria based on the American Medical Association (AMA). Therefore, the Committee of Guides for Maxillofacial Impairment Ratings, in the Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (KAOMS), is trying to suggest more reasonable and realistic guidelines for evaluating impairments by reviewing the current evaluation criteria and those of AMA and AAOMS.
The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a behaviorally anchored rating scale for peer evaluation in group projects based on social interdependence theory. A mixed method involving a qualitative and quantitative approach was used in this study. In the qualitative study, both the individual and group interviews were conducted to college students regarding their cooperative learning experiences. Data from this qualitative research was analyzed based on 5 elements of cooperative learning and 'critical incidents' were extracted from students' own voices that would serve as specific rating criteria in the scale. Once the 'critical incidents' have been incorporated into the scale, validation from 3 independent experts was conducted. In the quantitative study, correlations with relevant variables were analyzed to examine the criteria-referenced validity. Findings suggest that the behaviorally anchored rating scale for peer evaluation in group projects can be used in various team-based learning contexts.

Kolmogorov-Smirnov(K-S) statistic has been widely used for the model validation of credit rating models. Validation criteria for the K-S statistic is empirically used at the levels of 0.3 or 0.4 which are much larger than the critical values of K-S test statistic. We examine whether these criteria are reasonable and appropriate through the simulations according to various sample sizes, type II error rates, and the ratio of bads among data. The simulation results say that the currently used validation criteria are too lower than values of K-S statistics obtained from any credit rating models in Korea, so that any credit rating models have good discriminatory power. In this work, alternative criteria of K-S statistic are proposed as critical levels under realistic situations of credit rating models.
To promote environmentally responsible architectural practice, many nations have established their own green building rating system. Among other criteria, recently the indoor environmental quality section has been paid great attention due to Sick Building Syndrome, as this believed to caused by polluted indoor environment. In this context, indoor environmental quality is one of very important sections of each green building rating system and closely related to the very happiness of building users. The goal of this research is to compare and analyze the indoor environmental sections of three green building rating systems, GBCC, LEED v2.1, and BREEAM Office 2005, and find a direction for the improvement of GBCC. First, the three rating systems are analyzed in general to compare the importance of indoor environmental factors in each system. Second, the indoor environmental factors are reclassified within related sub-categories for the comparable analysis. Finally, based upon the comparable analysis, directions for the improvement of GBCC are as follows: 1. GBCC's h4r Environment Section needs to clarify its VOCs criteria based upon types of finish materials. 2. Sound Environment Section's noise control criteria needs to be revised based upon types of building usages and application method. 3. An indoor lighting related section needs to be included in GBCC, as even though light is the one of the most important factors in indoor environment, it has not been included in GBCC yet. 4. The sub-section of Confortable Indoor Environment Section related to the resting space and the universal accessibility are not in accord with the goal of green building rating system. These items need to be dealt within general building codes. 5. The rating evaluation structure and process need to be streamlined.
The present duration of 5 years in the Korea Green Building Certification(G-SEED) should be re-set taking into account with the needs for renewal of re-certification criteria. This study methods is to analyze the differences between the characteristics of the certification system of green building of domestic and foreign and to seek the improvement to derive the problem of detailed evaluation items of the examination. The purpose of this study is to identify some problems of re-certification criteria in the G-SEED System and to propose the renewal of certification system. Analysis of the rating criteria with a few re-certified examples of office buildings have been made. Some measures to improve the re-certification have been suggested as follows; (1) it is strongly suggested to establish re-certification rating systems that is not yet made, (2) the new criteria of re-certification bring into focus on whether buildings maintain the environmental performances of the initial status certified, and (3) thus the effective duration of re-certification needs to re-set flexibly in a way to confirm to the initial environmental performances and maintenance conditions certified.

Heavy-weight floor impact sound insulation performance criteria have been effective in Korea since the regulation which enforces the standard thickness of slabs in domestic apartment houses should be constructed by 180mm or 210mm was adopted. But every slab does not satisfy this criteria. So, review on existing floor impact sound insulation performance is needed to propose some basic materials for the revision of rating method. To achieve this goal, 63 field test data were checked and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows ; 1) The 210mm thickness slab has the characteristics of deeper level decrease above 120Hz frequency band than that of 180mm thickness slab's. 2) 27.5% of 180mm thickness slabs were satisfied the floor impact sound insulation performance criteria, whereas 65% of 210mm slabs do. 3) Among the main contribution frequency bands for the determination of single rating index, 63Hz was shown as the most contributive band in 210mm slabs. 4) In comparison of single rating index between bang machine test and ball test. there is a big difference between the two and this phenomenon is frequent in 210mm slab results. 5) Rating Methods for the analysis of cross-correlation between the amount of rating, the usefulness of the arithmetic mean could be secured.
This study was aimed to validate the Infant/Toddler Environment Rating scale (ITERS). The rating scale was translated and adjusted appropriately by two researchers majoring child studies. An item-by-item comparison of the ITERS with criteria of NAEYC was conducted as the measure of content validity. 88% of the items of the ITERS was covered on the NAEYC criteria. Criterion validity was assessed by comparing ITERS scores and the Assessment Profile for early childhood Programs scores. The total correlation of two scores was .87. The sample for the inetrater reliability and internal consistency studies included 30 infant/toddler classes in 30 day care center in Inchon city. Two observers independently rated each class on the ITERS during a single visit. The Spearman's correlation coefficient for interater reliability on the overall scale was .74. For the measure of internal consistency, the Cronbach's Alpha score on the overall scale was .93. The rating results show that national/public child care centers have better quality in Adult Needs and Learning Activities subscales than private child care centers have.
