미성숙 영구치의 치수치료 (Pulp treatment for immature permanent teeth)

  • For dental pulp treatment of immature permanent teeth, direct pulp capping or partial/cervical pulpotomy (apexogenesis) procedures can be used if the dental pulp is vital. MTA (Mineral Trioxide Aggregate) is regarded as the first choice dressing material for these procedures because its higher success rate. It can be also used successfully for devitalized dental pulp which has been treated by calcium hydroxide. This apexification procedure with MTA has a few advantage such as short treatment period and increase of resistance against root fracture. Recently, regenerative endodontic treatment was introduced for devitalized immature pulp. It can maintain pulp vitality and lead to continuing root development although the dental pulp was devitalized.

참깨 내탈립성의 원인과 검정 방법 (Grain Shattering Resistance and Its Screening Method of Sesame)

  • 기존의 내탈립성 참깨들은 우리나라 환경에서의 적응성이 떨어지며 수량성도 낮았으나, 계속적인 개량으로 인해 기존품종보다 내탈립성이 뛰어나면서도 수량성 등 제반 형질이 뒤지지 않는 새로운 내탈립성 참깨의 개발을 목전에 두고 있다. 그러나 앞으로도 계속적인 개량이 필요한 이들 내탈립성 참깨의 효율적인 육성 기술은 아직 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 시험에서는 이와 관련된 기술로 참깨 종자의 내탈립성을 나타내는 구체적인 기작 및 효율적인 탈립성 검정 방법 등을 밝히고자 수행하였던 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 참깨 종자의 내탈립성의 원인을 검토한 결과 PA형의 내탈립성은 꼬투리(capsule)내 태좌의 종자 보유력이 크기 때문에 나타난 것으로 추정되었으며, ID형은 꼬투리의 중과피(mesocarp) 두께가 일반 참깨보다 두껍기 때문이었으며, SL형은 꼬투리에 seam이 존재하지 않기 때문이었다. 또한 내탈립성 참깨들은 일부의 개체에서 탈립성이 큰 변이가 나타났는데, 이는 이들 참깨들의 진화방향이 탈립성이 큰 방향임을 의미하는 것으로 판단되었다. 탈립성 측정을 위한 적합한 건조 조건은 상온에서는 참깨 수확 후 최소 20일, $40^{\circ}C$의 건조기 내에서는 10일 이상의 건조기간이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

수종 임플랜트 금속의 내식성에 관한 전기화학적 연구 (AN ELECTROCHEMICAL STUDY ON THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF THE VARIOUS IMPLANT METALS)

  • Titanium and its alloys are finding increasing use in medical devices and dental implants. The strong selling point of titanium is its resistance to the highly corrosive body fluids in which an implant must survive. This corrosion resistance is due to a tenacious passive oxide or film which exists on the metal's surface and renders it passive. Potentiodynamic polarization measurement is one of the most commonly used electro-chemical methods that have been applied to measure corrosion rates. And the potentiodynamic polarization test supplies detailed information such as open circuit, rupture, and passivation potential. Furthermore, it indicates the passive range and sensitivity to pitting corrosion. This study was designed to compare the corrosion resistance of the commonly used dental implant materials such as CP Ti, Ti-6A1-4V, Co-Cr-Mo alloy, and 316L stainless steel. And the effects of galvanic couples between titanium and the dental alloys were assessed for their useful-ness-as. materials for superstructure. The working electrode is the specimen , the reference electrode is a saturated calomel electrode (SCE), and the counter electrode is made of carbon. In $N_2-saturated$ 0.9% NaCl solutions, the potential scanning was performed starting from -800mV (SCE) and the scan rate was 1 mV/sec. At least three different polarization measurements were carried out for each material on separate specimen. The galvanic corrosion measurements were conducted in the zero-shunt ammeter with an implant supraconstruction surface ratio of 1:1. The contact current density was recorded over a 24-hour period. The results were as follows : 1. In potential-time curve, all specimens became increasingly more noble after immersion in the test solution and reached between -70mV and 50mV (SCE) respectively after 12 hours. 2. The Ti and Ti alloy in the saline solution were most resistant to corrosion. They showed the typical passive behavior which was exhibited over the entire experimental range. Therefore no breakdown potentials were observed. 3. Comparing the rupture potentials, Ti and Ti alloy had the high(:st value (because their break-down potentials were not observed in this study potential range ) followed by Co-Cr-Mo alloy and stainless steel (316L). So , the corrosion resistance of titanium was cecellent, Co-Cr-Mo alloy slightly inferior and stainless steel (316L) much less. 4. The contact current density sinks faster than any other galvanic couple in the case of Ti/gold alloy. 5. Ag-Pd alloy coupled with Ti yielded high current density in the early stage. Furthermore, Ti became anodic. 6. Ti/Ni-Cr alloy showed a relatively high galvanic current and a tendency to increase.

Efficient Elimination of Tetracycline by Ferrate (VI): Real Water Implications

  • The detection of antibiotics in treated wastewater is a global concern as it enters water bodies and causes the development of antibiotic resistance genes in humans and marine life. The study specifically aims to explore the potential of ferrate (VI) in eliminating tetracycline (TCL). The degradation of TCL is optimized with parametric studies, viz., the effect of pH and concentration, which provide insights into TCL elimination. The increase in pH (from 7.0 to 10.0) favors the percentage removal of TCL; however, the increase in TCL concentrations from 0.02 to 0.3 mmol/L caused a decrease in percentage TCL removal from 97.4 to 29.1%, respectively, at pH 10.0. The time-dependent elimination of TCL using ferrate (VI) followed pseudosecond-order rate kinetics, and an apparent rate constant (kapp) was found at 1978.8 L2 /mol2 /min. Coexisting ions, i.e., NaNO3, Na2HPO4, NaCl, and oxalic acid, negligibly affect the oxidation of TCL by ferrate (VI). However, EDTA and glycine significantly inhibited the elimination of TCL using ferrate (VI). The mineralization of TCL using ferrate (VI) was favored at higher pH, and it increased from 18.57 to 32.52% when the solution pH increased from pH 7.0 to 10.0. Additionally, the real water samples containing a relatively high level of inorganic carbon spiked with TCL revealed that ferrate (VI) performance in the removal of TCL was unaffected, which further inferred the potential of ferrate (VI) in real implications.

석유 팬 히터의 연소실 주변 열전달 특성 (Heat transfer characteristics around a circular combustion chamber of kerosene fan heater)

  • This paper was studied to understand the characteristics of heat transfer coefficients and surface temperature distributions around a circular combustion chamber within the heat-intercept duct of kerosene fan heater. The experiment was carried out in the heat-intercept duct of kerosene fan heater attached to the blow-down-type subsonic wind tunnel with a test section of 240 mm * 240 mm * 1200 mm. The purpose of this paper was to obtain the basic data related with normal combustion for new design from conventional kerosene fan heater, and to investigate the effect of surface temperature, local and mean heat transfer coefficients versus flow-rate of convection axial fan according to the variations of heat release conditions from kerosene fan heater during normal combustion. Consequently it was found that (i) the revolution of convection axial fan during combustion had a smaller value than that of non-combustion because of the thermal resistance due to the high temperature in the heat-intercept duct, (ii) the pressure ratio P$_{2}$/P$_{1}$ had a comparatively constant value of 0.844 according to the revolution increase of turbo fan and the heating performance of kerosene fan heater had a range of 1,494 ~ 3,852 kcal/hr, (iii) the local heat transfer coefficient around a circular combustion chamber had a comparatively larger scale in the range of 315 deg. < .theta. < 45 deg. than that in the range of 90 deg. < .theta. < 270 deg. as a result of heat transfer difference between front and back of a circular combustion chamber, and (iv) the mean heat transfer coefficient around a circular combustion chamber increased linearly like a H$_{m}$=95.196Q+104.019 in condition of high heat release according to the increase of flow-rate of axial fan.n.

용융염 LiCl 및 LiCl-$Li_2O$에서 내열합금 More 1과 Super 22H의 부식거동 (Corrosion Behavior of Heat-Resistant Alloys of More 1 and Super 22H in Molten Salt of LiCl and LiCl-$Li_2O$)

  • The corrosion behavior of heat-resistant alloys, More 1 and Super 22H in molten salts of LiCl and $LiCl-Li_2$O was investigated in the temperature range of $650~850^{\circ}C$. In a molten salt of LiCl, a dense protective oxide scale of $LiCrO_2$ was formed, following growth of oxide scale with parabolic kinetics. But in a mixed molten salt of LiCl, a dense protective oxide scale of $LiCrO_2$ was formed, following growth of oxide scale with parabolic kinetics. But in a mixed molten salt of $LiCl-Li_2$O, a porous non-protective scale of Li\ulcorner(Cr, Ni, Fe)\ulcornerO$_2$was formed, following growth of oxide scale with linear kinetics. The corrosion rate increased slowly with the increase of temperature up to $750^{\circ}C$, but above $750^{\circ}C$ rapid increase in corrosion rate observed. The corrosion behavior of Super 22H alloy was similar to that of More 1 alloy, but Super 22H showed higher corrosion resistance than More 1.

실선 시험에 의한 저층 트롤 어구에 관한 연구-II -어구의 수중 형태에 관하여- (A study on the bottom trawl gear by the trial of a stern trawler-II -On the net shape of a bottom trawl gear-)

  • 저층트롤 실물 어구를 이용한 해상 실험을 통하여 예망 중인 어구의 망구 형태에 관련되는 전개판의 간격 및 망고 등을 예망 속도별, 끌줄의 길이별로 측정하고, 이론적인 수치 해석 결과와 비교하여 실물어구의 수중 현황을 해석함으로서 어구의 효율적인 운용과 어획효과의 증대를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 수중 현황을 해석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 전개판의 전개간격은 예망 속도와 끌줄길이의 증가에 따라 직선적으로 증가하며 끌줄 길이에 의한 증가율이 예망 속도에 의한 증가율보다 현저히 크게 나타났으며, 그 간격의 변화는 57.0∼82.8m로서 후릿줄과 그물목줄 및 그물길이 전체의 43∼62%를 차지하였다. 2. 망구의 높이는 예망 속도와 끌줄길이의 증가에 따라 직선적으로 감소하며, 예망 속도에 의한 감소율이 끌줄 길이에 의한 감소율보다 현저히 크게 나타났는데 그 높이의 변화는 3.1∼4.0m로 나타났다. 3. 양 날개끝의 간격이 커지면 망고는 낮아지나 끌줄 길이가 증가할수록 날개 끝 간격의 증가에 대한 망구 높이 감소율의 비는 점차 작아졌다. 4. 망고에 대한 양 날개 끝 간격의 비는 예망속도와 끌줄 길이의 증가에 따라 점차 커졌는데, 그 비는 4.17∼7.81로 나타났다.

토끼 동방결절 박동수에 대한 아데노신의 작용 (Inhibitory action of adenosine on sinus rate in isolated rabbit SA node)

  • The inhibition/influences of adenine compounds on the heart have been described repeatedly by many investigators, since the first report by Druny and Szent-Gyorgyi [1929]. These studies have shown that adenosine and adenine nucleotides have an over-all effect similar to that of acetylcholine [ACh] by slowing and weakening the heartbeat. The basic cellular and membrane events underlying the inhibitory action of adenosine on sinus rate, however, are not well understood. Furthermore, the physiological role of adenosine in regulation of the heartbeat remains still to be elucidated. Therefore, this study was undertaken in order to examine the response of rabbit SA node to adenosine and to compare the response to that of ACh. Isolated SA node preparation, whole atrial pair, or left atrlal strip was used in each experiment. Action potentials of SA node were recorded through the intracellular glass microelectrodes, which were filled with 3M KCI and had resistance of 30-50 M. All experiments were performed in a bicarbonate-buffered Tyrode solution which was aerated with 3% $CO_2-97%$ $O_2$ gas mixture and kept at $35^{\circ}C$. Spontaneous firing rate of SA node at 35C [Mean + SEM, n=16] was 154 + 3.3 beats/min. The parameters of action potentials were: maximum astolic potential [MDP], -731.7mV: overshoot [OS], 9 + 1.4mV; slope of pacemaker potential [SPP], 94 3.0mV/sec.Adenosine suppressed the firing rate of SA node in a dose dependent manner. This inhibitory effect appeared at the concentration of $10^{-6}M$ and was potentiated in parallel with the increase in adenosine concentration. Changes in action potential by adenosine were dose-dependent increase of MDP and decrease of SPP until $10^{-4}$. Above this concentration, however, the amplitude of action potential decreased markedly due to the simultaneous decrease of both MDP and OS. All these effects of adenosine were not affected by pretreatment of atropine [2mg/l] and propranolol [$5{\times}10^{-6}M$]. ACh [$10^{-6}M$] responses on action potential were similar to those of adenosine by increasing MDP and decreasing SPP. These effects of ACh disappeared by pretreatment of atropine [2mg/1]. Inhibition/effects of adenosine and ACh on sinus rate were enhanced synergistically with the simultaneous administration of adenosine and ACh. Marked decrease of overshoot potential was the most prominent feature on action potential. Dipyridamole [DPM], which is known to block the adenosine transport across cell membrane, definitely potentiated the action of adenosine . Adenosine suppressed the sinus rate and atrial contractility in the same dosage range, even in the reserpinized preparation. Above` results suggest that adenosine suppresses pacemaker activity, like ACh, by acting directly on the membrane of SA node, increasing MDP and decreasing SPP.

  • The concrete used most in construction materials. There is an overcrowded iron dimensions use of the concrete at time of the other concrete theory on the reinforcing rod back which did congestion and compares it with this, and there are more few dimensions of the aggregate than concrete, and quantity of aggregate passage is superior in mortar than concrete. If a volume rate of the aggregate writes mortar than concrete against this, therefore, unit amount increases, and quantity of paste increases and quantity of dry shrinkage than increase concrete. However, I let I regulate lay priest distribution of the aggregate, and the results rates increase and reduce unit amount and decrease quantity of dry shrinkage, and separation resistance and the gap passage characteristics are judged because it can be it in a substitute document of very superior concrete. I came to carry out the study that I watched to let I was useful a little more and do the improvement repair of a become building wall body, a basement pillar and repair reinforcement of the assistant in the reinforcing rod back, the old age when I made congestion here. I regulated lay priest distribution of the aggregate in the study and regulated substitution rate of the aggregate (40%, 50%, 60%) and divided W/C 30%, 40% standards and produced mortar and I compared quantity of air by this, slump, compression robbery and showed it this time.

도열병 품종저항성과 도체내 성분과의 관계 (Relationship between some chemical components in the rice plants and varietal reaction to blast disease)

  • 수도품종명 도열병 저항성 차이와 도체내 성분과의 관계를 구명코저 저항성 품종, 중간정도 품종, 감수성인 품종의 실소 및 당 함량을 비교한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 전질소, 전당 함량은 저항성인 품종이 감수성인 품종에 비해 전질소는 적고 전당은 많았다. 따라서 C/N 률은 저항성 품종이 감수성인 품종에 비해 높았다. 2) Free amino acid에 있어서는 저항성인 품종이 감수성인 품종에 비해 Glutamine, Valine 그리고 Leucine 과 Iso-leucine함량이 많았다. 3) 각종당액에서 전분합성은 저항성인 품종이 감수성인 품종에 비해 Fructose, Glucose에서는 높았고 Sucrose에서는 낮았으나 Indica type로 저항성인 Zenith에서는 오히려 전분합성이 감수성인 다다조 보다 떨어졌다. 4) 질소비료를 증시하면 전질소함량은 보비보다 증가하는데 그 증가율은 저항성인 품종에서 낮은 경향이었다. 전당은 분벽초기에 감소되며 그 감소율은 저항성인 품종이 더 떨어졌고 분벽최성기에는 오히려 증가하였는데 그 증가율은 저항성인 품종이 높은 경향이었다.
