Acyl-CoA binding proteins (ACBP) are small highly-conserved cytosolic proteins that bind long-chain acyl-CoAs. A cDNA encoding ACBP was identified from cDNA library constructed from hairy root poly $A^{+}$ RNA in expressed sequence tags (EST) analysis. The cDNA clone was 453 bp long and carried an open reading frame of 264 bp (10 kDa). The ginseng ACBP amino acid sequence was compared with other reported plant ACBPs using the CLUSTALW. Ginseng ACBP is 89%, 81%, 80%, and 73% identical with ACBP from castor bean, lilly, Digitalis and Arabidopsis, respectively. However, ginseng ACBP is 5 amino acids smaller than Arabidopsis and rape seed ACBPs. Also there is no any known signal peptide sequence in ginseng ACBP.
Police officers in charge of investigating sexual assault cases are likely to have suspicions in the process of investigation to find out the truth about the case, which leads to secondary victimization to the victims, and these concerns are often unveiled as social problems. This study suggested the research question that what the causes of secondary victimization derived from the police officers in charge of sexual assault investigation are. The purpose of this study was to contribute to the restoration of the trust of the police by preventing or minimizing the secondary victimization of sexual assault cases in the investigation process. Among the personal characteristics of police officers, rape myth, tolerance n violence and hostile gender discrimination influenced suspicion and prejudice, and rape myth and hostile gender discrimination affected the lack of sensitivity. Among the workplace-related characteristics, the duration of employment and experience in sexual assault cases affects the lack of sensitivity. In addition to the revision of the law and the improvement of the system of sexual assault, the prejudice against the sexual assault inherent in the attitudes and behaviors of the police officers in charge of the sexual assault cases should be improved.
The studies of correspondence between novel and nation-state, among which The Rise of the Novel by Ian Watt is supposed to be the first book, have flourished for more than twenty years, encouraged by Benedict Anderson's and Cathy Davidson's works. According to them, the novel should come simultaneously with, or after the foundation of the nation-state, and testify to its production or the emergence of its subject/citizen. This paper questions about these prepositions, trying to introduce a new paradigmatical approach, "between global and transnational historical approach," to first novels in transatlantic areas including England and atlantic coastal areas. In its complex relation to a variety of colonial, post-colonial, and transnational geopolitics, various cultural practices such as history, traveler's tales and epistolary novels can be included in the genre of the novel. The idea of the sexual contract by Carole Pateman is very useful because it helps more clearly understand the nature of relation between men and women in the capitalist reproduction, while the social contract tells about the relation between men as citizens. Unlike Freud in Totem and Taboo, Zilboorg argues that there were primordial and violent scenes such as rape before the first sexual contract. This paper will illuminate that "the rise of the novel" corresponded with the emergence of the sexual contract. In the so-called first novel Pamela, the heroine Pamela was threatened to be violated by Mr. B., and was really even confined in his cottage. Mary Rowlandson's The Captive Narrative shows that her body was confined as an English female captive, and troubled with imaginary rape by Indians which resulted in the unequal sexual contract between her and her puritan community in America. However, Leonora Sansay's Secret History in an alternative communality, which was not a nation-state, was different from both novels mentioned above, in that it shows the possibility of emancipation from their unequal marriage, the sexual contract. Therefore, it can be argued that "between global and transnational historical approach" has a possibility to provide a new vision of global sisterhood and solidarity to recognize globalized women's violence, and free themselves from the unequal sexual contract.
In this study, We examined the dual path model in which entitlement rage and sexual dominance on the one of two pathway, sexual permissiveness and sexual objectification on another pathway mediated the relation between narcissism and sexual aggression. In addition, it was investigated whether alcohol use and rape myths acceptance have moderating effects in the pathways from sexual dominance and sexual objectification to sexual aggression on our path model. Data from 368 male college students in four university in Chungcheong province were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results in structural equation modeling exhibited that narcissism affected sexual aggression through mediating effects of entitlement rage and sexual dominance, and through mediating effects of sexual permissiveness and sexual objectification. Furthermore, alcohol use and rape myths acceptance only moderated the relation between sexual dominance and sexual aggression on our model. We discussed the meaning of results and the implications for further study.
Forage productivity of cropping systems of rye - silage corn, silage corn - oats, silage corn - rape was studied in the south-eastern part of Korea where rice black-streaked dwarf virus(RBSDV) infection of corn are severe. Rye(cv. Paldanghomil) was planted on Oct. 20 of 1986 and harvested 10 times from April 5 to May 5 at the 5-day intervals in 1987, corn (cv. Suweon 19 and Jinjuok) was planted 5 times from April 5 to May 15 at the 10-day intervals in 1987, and oats(cv. Megwiri) and rape (cv. Velox) were planted 4 times from Sept: 4 to 25 at the 7-day intervals and harvested 4 times from Nov. 10 to Dec. 10 at the 10-day intervals in 1987. Considering yield, nutrition value, and in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD), forage productivity of the cropping systems was compared. As harvesting time of rye delayed, plant height, dry matter(DM) yield, percent DM, crude fiber, and digestible DM yield increased, but crude protein, crude fat, and IVDMD decreased. However, nitrogen free extract was not different among the harvesting dates. As planting date of corn delayed, RBSDV infection rate increased. but DM yield of silage decreased. However, silage yield of Jinjuok was higher, but RBSDV infection rate was lower compared with Suweon 19 at all planting dates. DM yield of oats and rape decreased as planting date delayed. However, at Sept. 4 and 11 plantings yield of oats on Nov. 10 was much lower than that of rape, but the differences in yield between two crops decreased with delayed harvesting, and yield was similar on Dec. 10. A cropping system harvesting rye around April 20 and followed by planting corn in late April was best among the rye-corn systems considering yield and nutrition value of both crops. However, among the corn-oats or corn-rape cropping systems early April planting of corn and followed by early Sept. planting of oats or rape showed best results with similar yield potential of the best rye-corn cropping system.
The Korean origin edible oil sterol part of the rape, sesame and perilla oil can be separated from the other constituents of the non-saponifiable fraction, by the thin layer chromatography on the preparative Plates. The composition of sterols have been determined by gas liquid chromatography and thin layer chromatographic anlysis. Two sterols, ${\beta}$-sitosterol and campesterol were present in all of the oils. And brassicasterol were found in rapeseed oil in addition to the two sterols that were common to all of the oils studied. It was noted that ${\beta}$-sitosterol was the major sterol in the Korean original edible oils. The results showed that contents of sterols were campesterol 24.31%, ${\beta}$-sitosterol 58.90% ana Brassicasterol 11.54%, and $\Delta^7$-sterol 5.25% by method of triangulation and campesterol 26.16%, ${\beta}$-sitosterol 57.50%, brassicasterol 11.70% and ${\Delta}^7$-sterol 4.64% by method of Planimetry of rape seed oil. By sesame seed oil sterol compositions were campesterol 20.35%, stigmasterol 9.15%, ${\beta}$-sitosterol 43.49%, ${\Delta}^7$-sterol 11.25% and others 15.76% by method of triangulation and campesterol 16.79%, stigmasterol 8.69%, ${\beta}$-sitosterol 44.58%, ${\Delta}^7$-sterol 14.28% and others 15.56% by method of planimetry. Campesterol 12.45%, stigmasteriol 5.40%, ${\beta}$-sitosterol 72.32% and ${\Delta}^7$-Sterol 9.83% by method of triangulation-and campesterol 13.00%, stigmasterol 3.76%, ${\beta}$-sitosterol 74.57% and ${\Delta}^7$ sterols 8.67% by method of planimetry of perilla oil. Contents of totalsterol in Korean edible oils were 0.82% by rape, 0.58% by sesame and 0.45% by perilla, respectively.
The purpose of this study is to derive an optimal regression model for occurrences of major crimes on a security company's stock price through identifying precedence of the occurrences of major crimes on the security company's stock price, relationship between the occurrences of major crimes and the security company's stock price. Followings are the results of this study. First, the occurrences of murder crime, robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime move along the security company's monthly stock price simultaneously, and the occurrence of violence crime precedes 6 months to the security company's monthly stock price depending on the results of cross-correlation analysis of precedence of occurrences of major crimes, such as murder crime, robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime, violence crime on the security company's monthly stock price. Second, the explanation of the occurrences of robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime on the security company's monthly stock price is 61.7%($R^2$ = .617) excluding murder crime, violence crime depending on the results of multiple regression analysis(stepwise method) by putting the occurrences of major crimes, such as murder crime, robbery crime, rape crime, theft crime, violence crime into the security company's monthly stock price.

To investigate the sulfate utilization efficiency that has been examined in rape (Brassica napus L.) cultivars (cv. Akela and Colosse). During 72h of treatment, in two cultivars, ${SO_4}^{2-}$ uptake was significantly higher in complete S condition (2.0 mM ${SO_4}^{2-}$) than that of the S-deficient condition (2.0 mM ${SO_4}^{2-}$). In young leaves, ATP sulfurylase activity increased after S-deficient treatment. However, in old leaves, ATP sulfurylase activity was not significantly changed in Akela. Glutathione concentration in young leaves significantly increased in all cultivars examined under S-deficient condition. The rate of increase in glutathigne concentration caused by S-deficiency treatment was higher in Akela. However, in old leaves, the glutathione concentration in Akela significantly decreased. The results suggest that ${SO_4}^{2-}$ uptake and ATP sulfurylase in rape plants were species specific, and that ${SO_4}^{2-}$ uptake was highly related to its assimilation into S containing compound such as glutathione.
The purpose of this study was to find out how effect does the second-stage which is the intensive course program for sexual offenders of three-stage(basic, intensive and advanced remedial) on impulsivity, anger expression, rape myth and self-esteem of sexual offenders. To this end, 10 people waiting for the second-stage intensive education among sexual violence offenders serving at M prison located in J province were selected as subjects for the study. To verify the effectiveness of the program, repeated measurement design(pre, post and one month post test) was conducted, and a total of 200 hours of 'Intensive Course Program on the Sexual Violence' was conducted to the subjects. The results of this study are as follows. It was confirmed that the intensive course program on the sexual violence for the re-crime risky group in the sex offender is effective in reducing impulsivity and anger expression, which are risk factors of sexual crime, bringing positive changes to rape myths, which are distorted sexual perceptions of sexual violence criminals, and improving self-esteem. Finally, it suggested the necessity of continuous development and improvement of sexual violence preventive programs targeting sexual offenders, and construction of systematic supervision and related system to ensure the effectiveness of remedial after release of sexual offenders.
The aim of this study was to verify the effect of gender and amount of criminal settlement on punitive judgment and responsibility judgment in a false rape allegation case. An online survey was conducted on 406 adult men and women and were randomly assigned to one of six experimental condition. The findings of this study are as follow. First, there was an interaction effect of the gender of the participant and the gender of the defendant in the punitive judgment and responsibility judgment except sentencing judgment. In other words, participants applied heavier punishment and sentencing judgments to the defendants of the opposite gender, while lighter punishment and sentencing judgments were applied to the defendants of the same gender. However, the amount of the criminal settlement did not have a significant effect on all dependent variables. In this study, we empirically examined how the gender of the participants, the gender of the defendant and the amount of the criminal settlement affect the judgment of the false allegation of rape case which has not yet been fully discussed in Korea. In addition, it is meaningful to see how the amount of criminal settlement, which has not been covered before, affects the perception of victims of sexual violence who demand criminal settlement. The implications and limitations of the study were also discussed.
