사운드 데이터의 3D 시각화 방법 (Method for 3D Visualization of Sound Data)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사운드 데이터를 3차원 입체 이미지로 시각화하는 방법을 제공하는 것이다. 사운드 데이터의 시각화는 사운드데이터의 음역채널을 텍스트베이스형태의 스크립트 제작한 후 설정된 알고리즘에 따라 수행한다. 알고리즘은 음역 채널 설정단계, 사운드 시각화용 화면프레임 설정단계, 단위 입체이미지 구현체 특성정보 설정단계, 사운드 데이터 음역 채널 검출단계, 사운드 시각화단계등 총 5단계로 이루어지며, 마우스등의 입력장치로 최소한된 입력신호조작으로 3D 시각화를 수행한다. 일반적인 방법으로 애니메이터가 할 수 없는 양을 가진 사운드 파일을 이용해, 애니메이터가 작업하는 시간과 제시한 연구방법을 이용한 작업시간을 비교하여, 본 연구에서 제시한 3D 시각화 방법이 창의적 예술적 이미지를 제작에 저비용, 고효율 방법임을 부각하였다. 향후, 게임엔진에서 렌더링 과정을 거치지 않는 방법으로 사운드 데이터의 실시간 시각화 방법을 연구할 예정이다.

다중 3차원 거리정보 데이타의 자동 정합 방법 (Automatic Registration Method for Multiple 3D Range Data Sets)

  • 대상 물체의 3차원 모델을 구축하기 위해서는 여러 시점에서 측정된 거리정보 데이타들을 하나의 좌표계로 통합하는 정합(registration) 과정이 필수적이다. 3차원 데이타의 정합을 위해 가장 널리 사용되는 ICP(Iterative Closest Point) 알고리즘은 거리정보 데이타 간에 겹치는 영역 또는 일치점 등에 대한 사전 정보가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 임의의 시점에서 측정된 데이타를 반복적인 방법에 의해 자동으로 정합하는 개선된 ICP 방법이 제안된다. 3차원 데이타가 거리정보 영상으로 맺히는 관계를 나타내는 센서 사영조건(projection constraint), 데이타의 공분산(covariance) 행렬, 교차(cross) 사영 등을 이용하여 정합과정을 자동화하였으며, 유저의 개입이나 3차원 기계 보조 장치 등을 사용하는 별도의 초기값 측정 없이 3차원 모델을 정확하게 구성할 수 있다. 다양한 거리정보 데이타에 대한 실험을 통해 제안된 방법의 우수한 성능을 확인하였다.

제주해협 HFR 자료의 유효 범위 산정과 M2 조류 특성 분석 (Estimation of Effective Range of HFR Data and Analysis of M2 Tidal Current Characteristics in the Jeju Strait)

  • The effective range of surface current data observed by high-frequency radar (HFR) operated in the northern coastal area of Jeju Island by Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology was estimated and the distribution and variability of the M2 tidal current of the Jeju Strait was analyzed. To evaluate the HFR data, the M2 tidal current corrected from 25 hours current data observed by the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA) was compared with the M2 tidal current in the Jeju Strait analyzed from the surface currents of HFR. The reliability of HFR data was confirmed by analyzing the characteristics of the tide components of these two data sets, and the effective range of HFR data was estimated through temporal and spatial analysis. The observation periods of HFR used in the analysis were from 2012 to 2014, and it was confirmed that there is a difference in the effective range of HFR data according to the observation time. During the analysis periods, the difference between the M2 current ellipses from the data of KHOA and the HFR was greater in the eastern than in the western part of the Jeju Strait, and represented a high reliability in the western and central parts of the Jeju Strait. The tidal current of the Jeju Strait analyzed using the HFR data revealed a seasonal variability a relatively weak in summer and a strong in winter, about a 17% fluctuations between the summer and winter based on the length of the semi-major axis of tidal ellipse. Appraisals and results of regarding the characteristics and seasonal variability of the M2 tidal current in the Jeju Strait using HFR data have not been previously reported, so the results of this study are considered meaningful.

전방향 능동 거리 센서를 이용한 이동로봇의 자기 위치 추정 (Self-localization for Mobile Robot Navigation using an Active Omni-directional Range Sensor)

  • Most autonomous mobile robots view only things in front of them, and as a result, they may collide with objects moving from the side or behind. To overcome this problem. an Active Omni-directional Range Sensor System has been built that can obtain an omni-directional range data through the use of a laser conic plane and a conic mirror. Also, mobile robot has to know its current location and heading angle by itself as accurately as possible to successfully navigate in real environments. To achieve this capability, we propose a self-localization algorithm of a mobile robot using an active omni-directional range sensor in an unknown environment. The proposed algorithm estimates the current position and head angle of a mobile robot by a registration of the range data obtained at two positions, current and previous. To show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, a series of simulations was conducted and the results show that the proposed algorithm is very efficient, and can be utilized for self-localization of a mobile robot in an unknown environment.

  • 계단 주파수 레이더(Stepped Frequency Radar: SFR)는 송신 펄스의 주파수를 점진적으로 증가시켜 넓은 합성 대역폭을 만듦으로써 높은 거리 해상도를 얻는 방식이다. 그런데 이동표적의 경우 거리-도플러 결합(range-Doppler coupling) 현상으로 정확한 거리 추정을 할 수 없게 되므로 정확한 속도 추정을 통한 보상이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 코히어런트 펄스열(Coherent Pulse Train: CPT)을 갖는 계단 주파수 레이더 파형을 제안하고, 이를 이용한 속도 추정 및 파라미터에 따른 결과를 기존의 VMD(Velocity Measurement Data) 방식과 시뮬레이션을 통해 비교하고 분석하였다.

간호·간병통합서비스 병동 간호사의 우울 예측 요인 (Factors Influencing Depression of Nurses among Comprehensive Nursing Care Service Ward)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify depression and its influencing factor of nurses among comprehensive nursing care service ward. Methods: The research was cross-sectional descriptive study. The subjects of the study were 173 nurses of comprehensive nursing care service ward in Gyeonggi-do. Data collection was done using self-reported structured questionnaires asking about job stress, emotional labor, job burnout, somatic symptoms, turnover intention, depression and general characteristics from May 16 to June 3, 2016. Data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Results: Mean scores of job stress were 159.15(range 43~215), emotional labor 30.90(range: 9~45), job burnout 59.45 (range: 0~132), somatic symptoms 24.03 (range: 12~60), turnover intention 5.61 (range 0~18) and depression 19.25 (range: 0~60) and reported as depression in 63.6%. Somatic symptoms (${\beta}=.26$, p<.001), job burnout (${\beta}=.37$, p<.001) had significant associations with depression and the most important variable was job burnout. Conclusion: It is necessary to apply the developed program to reduce job burnout in hospitals and to prevent and/or control depression. And also, it needs to improve working conditions and increase the nursing staff to reduce somatic symptoms for nurses among comprehensive nursing care service ward.

수중로봇 위치추정을 위한 베이시안 필터 방법의 실현과 거리 측정 특성 분석 (Implementation of Bayesian Filter Method and Range Measurement Analysis for Underwater Robot Localization)

  • This paper verifies the performance of Extended Kalman Filter(EKF) and MCL(Monte Carlo Localization) approach to localization of an underwater vehicle through experiments. Especially, the experiments use acoustic range sensor whose measurement accuracy and uncertainty is not yet proved. Along with localization, the experiment also discloses the uncertainty features of the range measurement such as bias and variance. The proposed localization method rejects outlier range data and the experiment shows that outlier rejection improves localization performance. It is as expected that the proposed method doesn't yield as precise location as those methods which use high priced DVL(Doppler Velocity Log), IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit), and high accuracy range sensors. However, it is noticeable that the proposed method can achieve the accuracy which is affordable for correction of accumulated dead reckoning error, even though it uses only range data of low reliability and accuracy.

Age of Data in Contemporary Research Articles Published in Representative General Radiology Journals

  • Objective: To analyze and compare the age of data in contemporary research articles published in representative general radiology journals. Materials and Methods: We searched for articles reporting original research studies analyzing patient data that were published in the print issues of the Korean Journal of Radiology (KJR), European Radiology (ER), and Radiology in 2017. Eligible articles were reviewed to extract data collection period (time from first patient recruitment to last patient follow-up) and age of data (time between data collection end and publication). The journals were compared in terms of the proportion of articles reporting the data collection period to the level of calendar month and regarding the age of data. Results: There were 50, 492, and 254 eligible articles in KJR, ER, and Radiology, respectively. Of these, 44 (88%; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 75.8-94.8%), 359 (73%; 95% CI: 68.9-76.7%), and 211 (83.1%; 95% CI: 78-87.2%) articles, respectively, provided enough details of data collection period, revealing a significant difference between ER and Radiology (p = 0.002). The age of data was significantly greater in KJR (median age: 826 days; range: 299-2843 days) than in ER (median age: 570 days; range: 56-4742 days; p < 0.001) and Radiology (median age: 618; range: 75-4271 days; p < 0.001). Conclusion: Korean Journal of Radiology did not fall behind ER or Radiology in reporting of data collection period, but showed a significantly greater age of data than ER and Radiology, suggesting that KJR should take measures to improve the timeliness of its data.

8비트 데이타 정밀도를 가지는 다층퍼셉트론의 역전파 학습 알고리즘 (Learning of multi-layer perceptrons with 8-bit data precision)

  • In this paper, we propose a learning method of multi-layer perceptrons (MLPs) with 8-bit data precision. The suggested method uses the cross-entropy cost function to remove the slope term of error signal in output layer. To decrease the possibility of overflows, we use 16-bit weighted sum results into the 8-bit data with appropriate range. In the forwared propagation, the range for bit-conversion is determined using the saturation property of sigmoid function. In the backwared propagation, the range for bit-conversion is derived using the probability density function of back-propagated signal. In a simulation study to classify hadwritten digits in the CEDAR database, our method shows similar generalization performance to the error back-propagation learning with 16-bit precision.

Numerical Analysis of Wintertime Air Pollution in East Asia Region Using Long-Range Transport Model

  • In order to understand the wintertime intermittent characteristics of the trans-boundary air pollutant transport observed in East Asia, a numerical simulation of the long-range transport of pollutants was applied using an atmospheric transport model(STEM-II). The numerical simulation was carried out for the entire month of January 1997 and specific atmospheric aerosol (including sulfate, nitrate, and other ion compounds0 observation data were compared from four observation sites(Cheju Island, Kanghwa Island, Dazaifu, and Fukue Island). The observation data revealed that concentration peaks were intermittently observed at 3 to 4-day intervals plus the four observation sites exhibited a very similar spatial variation. The horizontal and spatial scale of the heavily polluted air masses was analyzed based on numerical results. The mechanism of the intermittent transport of air pollutants was clearly explained by a comparison of the observed data with the numerical output. It was found that the wind pattern variations associated with the synoptic scale pressure system changes play an extremely important role in the transport of pollutants in this region.
