  • Came to make a many development from the domestic railroad operation. The light rail transit enterprise is constructed plentifully. Consequently, the passenger safety importantly this, is recognized. The safety device which is applied in train control technique of the new railroad enterprise is important.   • Light Rail Transit(LRT) Systems with transport capacity between subway and bus(5,000-25,000 persons per hour) are being carried on over 100 lines around the world, In Korea, to solve the urban transportation problem, the introduction of LRT system has been proceeded positively. It is planned to develop the Korean standard LRT system in which safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness are emphasized. So we were able to make proto type of Rubber tired AGT system for LRT. This is capable of driverless operation using CBTC(Communication Based Train Control) of Moving Block System and is currently making an experiment for reliability in test-line. This study is focused on verifving the performance of CBTC system for driverless and ATO mode through implementing the examination.

  • 경전철 차량은 1MW이상의 전력을 요구하기 때문에 단일 인버터 시스템으로 구현할 경우 시스템 부피 및 비용 증가, 효율 감소 등 문제점을 가지게 된다. 이러한 이유로, 수 kW급 인버터 스택을 병렬로 구성하여 대용량 시스템을 구현한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 대용량 인버터 시스템을 구성하는 스택 개발 사례를 보여주고 있다. 실험을 통하여 개발한 무선급전용 인버터 스택의 성능을 검증한다.

  • 경전철 차량에 위치한 집전장치는 무선급전 인버터로부터 전력을 공급받아 동력계통 또는 에너지 저장장치에 전력을 전달하는 역할을 한다. 따라서, 집전장치의 손실을 최소화 하고 전력을 안정적으로 전달할 수 있는 제어방법이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 필요를 만족하는 적절한 제어방법을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안한 집전장치 제어방법의 유효성을 검증한다.

  • Recently, so as to solve the urban transportation problem the LRT(Light Rail Transit) system has been studied on the essential technology and the engineering know-how, which lead lower construction cost and higher reliability. The localization development of rubber tired AGT(Automatic Guided Trainsit) system has performed from 1999 to 2004, as a national project of the Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. For the application of the rubber tired AGT system in Busan Subway 3-2 Line, this study is focused on the reliability of aluminium profiles vehicle carbody and the establishment of the test and evaluation technologies. In this paper, 3D modeling simulation was applied to the load test of aluminium vehicle carbody. The reliability of the vehicle carbody was estimated as the fatigue test of welded aluminium profiles. From the test and simulation results, it could be concluded that the developed rubber tired AGT shows a good structural reliability and integrity.

  • There has been an increasing demand of introducing innovative public transport modes meriting high flexibilities of a bus mode along with on-time accuracy and quality environment-friendliness of a rail mode, as it is considered to significantly contribute to reducing huge social expenditures on the traffic congestion and environmental pollution agenda, and to be an alternative solution to better the urban transport problems. In order to comply with the need, Seoul Municipal Government has recently decided to build up GRT system of a new concept in Nangok area in Seoul, the first in its kind in Korea. The concession has been awarded to Seoul Metro. This thesis will study and benchmark similar systems abroad under operation, and further review necessary requirements overall which would secure full readiness for the operation of Nangok GRT system.

  • Automatic Operation based on ATO (Automatic Train Operation) is necessary for driverless Light Rail Transit business. When this kind of driverless LRT operation plan is made, TPS (Train Performance Simulation) is traditionally simulated at all-out mode and coasting mode based on manual operation. Commercial schedule speed equals to all-out speed minus $9{\sim}15%$ make-up margin. Coasting mode TPS simulation is also run at commercial schedule speed to calculate run time and energy consumption. But TPS based on manual operation should make an improvement on accuracy in case of driverless LRT operation Plan. In this paper, new fast mode TPS simulation using ATO pattern is proposed and show near actual ATO result. The actual ATO pattern can be accurately simulated with the introduction of 4 parameters such as commercial braking rate, jerk, station stop profile and grade converted distance. Normal mode TPS simulation for commercial schedule speed can be designed to have fast mode trip time plus 3 seconds/km margin recommended by korean standard LRT specification.

  • Recently, the bogie frame weight of Light Rail Transit system has been reduced in order to save energy and materials. However, this light weighted vehicle structure is very important to verify the fatigue strength at the development stage. Bogie system consists of bogie frame, suspensions, wheel-sets, braking system and transmission system. Among these components, the bogie frame is most significant component subjected to the whole vehicle and passenger loads. In this study, the bogie frame for the New LRT power car is evaluated to the static and fatigue strength. And the evaluation method is used the LRT Performance Test Standards Specification throughout the FEM analysis and static load test. The static and fatigue test results for the LRT bogie frame of power car has been appeared very safety and stable for the design load conditions.

  • Magnetic Levitated(Maglev) Vehicle, which utilizes electromagnetic forces between dual-pole electromagnets and a steel rail, generally runs on guideway structures. A prototype of an Urban Maglev Vehicle has been developed and tested in Korea, This study was conducted as a cooperation research subject of the 3-1 subject, performance improvement of maglev track structures, of the Center for Urban Maglev Program, statred in 2006. As the Maglev load is distributed rather than concentrated, a field test was conducted on Simple Span PSC-BOX Girder Bridge(L=25.0m) of the Expo-Maglev test track in Daejeon to examine the dynamic effect of the Maglev load on the bridge. Numerical analyses were also performed up to the maximum passing speed of 110 km/h by 10 km/h increments of Maglev Vehicle using Finite Element model of bridge, and girder deflections, accelerations and Dynamic Amplification Factor (DAF) are analysed.

  • In this paper, we have proposed the development of DC-DC converter for LRT power supply. First of all, we have studied converter technology, main functions and characteristics were determined. In also, the converter design was carried out to meet the system design conditions. Based on this design, converter simulation is performed to enable stable charging and discharging of the vehicle system. We have performed the Light-load test according to charge mode, discharge mode. As a result, the manufactured converter performance was verified through the load test, and it's stability was confirmed.
