  • Because the quality of a radio link in real environment is generally varied with time, there is a difference between the delay in the real environment and one obtained from the analytic model where a time-varying link model is not used as a link model for a Bluetooth. This paper analyzes the transmission delay of a message in the time-varying radio link model for the Bluetooth. The time-varying radio link is modeled with a two-state Markov model. The mean transmission delay of the message is analytically obtained in terms of the arrival rate of the message, the state transition probability in the Markov model, and the packet error rate.

  • This paper analyzed radio link throughput performance by applying radio link simulation and test equipment because there is limit in train filed test in 420 km/h high speed environment. According to the radio performance analysis, the throughput performance is slightly degraded in QPSK and 16QAM modulation schemes. But throughput performance is highly degraded in 64QAM modulation scheme.

  • A stationary Type IV (IVs) radio burst was observed on September 24, 2011. Observations from the Nançay RadioHeliograph (NRH) show that the brightness temperature (TB ) of this burst is extremely high, over 10^11K at 150 MHz and over 10^8K in general. The degree of circular polarization (q ) is between -60%~-100%, which means that it is highly left-handed circularly polarized. The flux-frequency spectrum follows a power-law distribution, and the spectral index is considered to be roughly -3~-4 throughout the IVs. Radio sources of this event are located in the wake of the coronal mass ejection and are spatially dispersed. They line up to present a formation in which lower-frequency sources are higher. Based on these observations, it is suggested that the IVs was generated through electron cyclotron maser emission.

  • Partial high frequency bands were allocated to the operation of ocean surface radars that monitor the sea surface currents and waves in WRC-12. On that basis, government-related organizations revised the table of domestic frequency allocation. In order to study radio environments in the allocated bands for ocean radar, tests of the radio signal spectrum were carried at 7-sites using the receiver of the ocean surface radar system operated with a shutdown of the transmitter for 10-60 min. The results showed that no serious radio noises occur at 25 and 43 MHz bands, indicating a good radio environment for the ocean surface radar operation. However, at 13 MHz band, it was difficult to generate stable and confidential data from the ocean surface radar because serious radio noises occurred continuously.

  • Recognition of the role of radio galaxies in the universe has been increasing in recent years. Their colossal energy output over huge volumes is now widely believed to play a key role not only in the formation of galaxies and their supermassive black holes, but also in the evolution of clusters of galaxies and, possibly, the cosmic web itself. In this regard, we need to understand the inflation of radio bubbles in the hot gas atmospheres of clusters and the importance of the role that radio galaxies play in the overall energy budget of the intracluster medium. Here, we present results from X-ray and radio band observations of the hot gas atmospheres of powerful, nearby radio galaxies in poor clusters.

  • Based on the modeling of DGPS antenna and antenna site environment, the DGPS short-monopole antenna performance according to the antenna surrounding environment are analyzed in this paper. The DGPS antenna site modeling that considers the ground conductivity and radio wave obstacles is performed and the general requirements for DGPS antenna site are proposed. In case of antenna site with proper radials on the ground plane of the fixed scale, the effect for antenna matching network due to the ground conductivity and radio wave obstacles is small but the impact on the radiation efficiency is large. To provide the stable DGPS service, it is important to install the DGPS antenna on the flat ground plain with good conductivity and without radio wave obstacles.

  • Bluetooth, in radio network environment, is a small local radio communication that is available with low expense and little power use. It is specified for the wireless connect in a small area between Network Excess Point, portable devices such as mobile phones. PDAs and portable PCs, and other per peripheral equipment. Bluetooth is consisted of a master and a piconet having seven slaves in a maximum and finally has a scatternet gathering lot of piconet. The thesis tries to design the most effective structure of a scatternet by the number of nodes and the type of scatternet such as linear and ring for its mechanism. then the performance evaluation is realized through the Bluehoc simulator based on the NS. Finally the most appropriate radio network environment is made by the comparison and analysis of the characteristics of liner and ring scatternets.

  • As quantities of the data that transmitting by the wireless are more increased, the interest and application are extending about 802.11n that uses by combination two existing 20MHz wireless LAN Channel. 802.11n use dual band of 2.4GHz band and 5.8GHz. So this is expected in mass wireless transmission method because of interference evasion effect in compliance with the radio communication of existing 2GHz neighborhood band. Like this 802.11n uses the radio as well and transmits information there is not only a possibility of undergoing an influence in radio wave environment of circumference. Specially the interior environment and outdoor environment is a possibility of saying that will be defined with each other different modeling as affects in radio communication is different. In this paper, we'll compare the influence to RF feature (802.11n) by (Indoor/Outdoor) environment difference through compared with 802.11n RF feature and Network feature in (Indoor/Outdoor) environment and also examine the correlation between RF feature and Network feature.

  • A In the rapidly changing media environment, radio needs to be digitized in order to provide regular compatible service. Especially, most medium high frequency Medias have program contents thar are similar to the standard FM bandwidth, so digitizing radio will bring less effect than it is expected. However, the characteristics of radio medias are mobility, individuality, site-to-site, wide service coverage, immediate delivery and publicity, so it is necessary to study the future of radio media to provide continuous services, moreover, the main discussion regarding balanced development between medias will be the trend of the digitization of radio. Also it is easy and will cost less to change compared to other medias. AM was the first media to broadcast in Korea, and its network is spread all over Korea, also the receivers are the most widely distributed which means the signal reaches everywhere in Korea. In this study, the proper service model for AM digital radio is provided in this environment in which all Medias are rapidly digitizing due to the advancement of digital technology. The results of experimental are based on library study and KBS data of sound wave.
