자동차 엔진의 냉각계통 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of the Vehicle Cooling System)

  • To maintain thereasonable temperature in the engines is very important to keep the steady combustion state of engine and to prevent increasing of oil consumption , deteriorating of lubricant, shortening of the life time of engine and decreasing of material strength. The method of energy balance for divided elements of radiator and engine-oil cooler is considered to analyse the performance of radiator and engine-oil cooler. The data obtained by engine test and vehicle cooling tunnel test are applied to program for calculation of radiator outlet temperature. As a result, data obtained by numerical analysis agree well with those by experiments. And thus, it is concluded that this simulation program is available in developing the cooling system for a new car.

  • Infrared radiator of Cordierite system were manufactured using Cordierite(2Mgo$.$2Al$_2$O$_3$$.$5SiO$_2$) and Clay 30wt% as main materials and addition of MnO$_2$ from 0. 1 to 2 5wt% of Dry pressing and slip casting The effects of MnO$_2$ additives on the thermal properties of infrared radiator of Cordierite system. The more the thermal expansion could be lowered the more the amount (wt%) of additives MnO$_2$is increased in the below 4.5$\mu\textrm{m}$. The high efficiency Infrared radiator of Cordierite system using dry pressing method when the amount of additives MnO$_2$is 2.0 wt%

휴대폰 내장 안테나의 대역폭과 이득 향상을 위한 수직 방사체를 가진 안테나 설계 (Antenna Design with Vertically Structured Radiator for Increasing Bandwidth and Gain of the Mobile Phone Internal Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 안테나의 인접하는 방사체 부분 사이의 신호 간섭에 따른 커플링 현상을 이용하여 대역 특성에 대응되는 수직 방사체를 가진 안테나를 제안하였다. 전류 상쇄를 최소화시키기 위해 수직형 도전성 방사체를 이용하였고, 기존 메탈 프레스 내장형 안테나에 대비하여 방사 효율을 높이고, 큰 대역폭을 갖는 안테나를 설계하였다. 제안한 안테나는 GSM850/900, DCS1800, PCS1900 대역을 만족하였으며, 측정된 반사 손실에 의한 대역폭은 기존 메탈 프레스 내장형 안테나에 비해 저주파수 대역에서는 28 % 주파수 대역폭이 향상된 91 MHz, 고주파수 대역에서는 14 % 향상된 222 MHz의 대역폭을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 제안한 안테나의 측정된 방사 이득과 효율은 전 대역에서 -4.956~-0.617 dBi, 31.80~86.36 %로 소형 안테나임에도 불구하고 매우 양호한 특성을 보였다. 이를 통해 수직 방사체로 구현함으로써 대역폭의 개선과 함께 방사 이득 향상에도 도움이 되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 위성체의 열진공 시험에는 우주 열환경을 모사하기 위하여 직접 방열판 표면에 열을 공급하는 접촉식 히터와 일정 거리를 두고 간접적으로 복사에 의해 열을 공급하는 비접촉식 히터가 사용된다. 이는 태양 복사 뿐 아니라 지구의 적외선 및 알베도(Albedo)를 모사하며, 열환경 시험 요구에 따라 정의된 온도 조건에 필요한 열을 공급하기도 한다. 일반적으로 접촉식 히터 사용이 불가할 경우 비접촉식 히터를 사용하게 되는데, 이때 복사에 의한 열전달량을 고려하여 적절한 히터파워를 산정하고 히터 미작동시 방열판과 챔버 슈라우드와 열교환에 있어 간섭이 없도록 히터의 위치를 설정하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문은 열해석상용 프로그램인 SINDA를 이용하여 비접촉식 히터의 최적화 열설계를 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 시험시 유효한 설계값을 도출하였다.

  • There is a close relation between the heat generation in the fuel cell stack and the fuel cell performance. In PEM fuel Gell vehicles, the stack coolant temperature is about $65^{\circ}C$, which is far lower than that for general automobile engine. Therefore, it is hard to release heat generated in the stack by using a radiator of limited size because of the reduced temperature difference between the coolant and the ambient air. In this study, indirect stack cooling system using $CO_2$ heat pump was designed and its stack cooling performance in releasing heat to the ambient was investigated. This work focuses on a series of processes that grasp the relation among the fuel cell power, the radiator capacity and the stack temperature. The purpose of this work is to find out a way to properly release sufficient amount of heat through the finite sized radiator, so that the stack power general ion can not be deteriorated due to the stack temperature increase. The optimization between the compressor power consumption and the fuel cel1 output power can be carried out to maximize the performance of fuel cell system.

  • The liquid cooling effect of a natural convection type radiator by using the PCM has been investigated experimentally. The radiator size is $423{\times}295{\times}83$ mm and PCM container size is $398{\times}270{\times}26$ mm. The objective is elapsed time higher than maximum time to reach for maximum operating temperature of a general liquid cooling radiator. This study, in order to study on the effects of the phase-change phenomenon, carried out the various mass flow rate, input electric power, ambient and melting point of three type PCM. For the above experimental parameter, the melting time was performed about 180/250/560 min at input power 150 W and ambient $30^{\circ}C$ from using the three type PCM(PCM_S1/S2/S3) respectively. Furthermore, the effects of the thermal dissipation was decreased higher input power than lower input power at heating block and melting time of PCM. However, the effects of mass flow rate did not nearly affect of the thermal performance especially.

무인기 탑재용 VHF 대역 형상적응형 안테나 개발 (Development of VHF-Band Conformal Antenna for UAV Mounting)

  • In this paper, a VHF band conformal antenna for UAV mounting was developed. The proposed antenna was designed as an shape-adaptive structure by minimizing the antenna height to be advantageous in RCS reduction performance. As for the antenna radiator, the outer radiator was arranged around the inner radiator to apply the CRLH zeroth-order resonance structure. With this structure, the height of the antenna was minimized, and it was reduced by about 70 % compared to the existing blade antenna. In addition, for impedance matching, the intermediate frequency bandwidth of the VHF band was improved through the sleeve pin of the inner radiator, and the low frequency bandwidth of the VHF band was improved by applying an EMI shielding gasket to the shorting pin of the outer radiator. The proposed antenna was manufactured and measured to verify the performance of the device and the performance after UAV mounting. As a result, the standard was satisfied for the operating frequency.

Design of a UWB Antenna with Band-Notch Function

  • In this paper, a compact wideband antenna with a band-notch function is proposed. It operates over the UWB band with a band-stop characteristic. To increase the impedance bandwidth, a ring-shaped radiator is used. By attaching a circular stub to the ring-shaped radiator, the band-notch performance is obtained. The proposed antenna operates over a frequency range from 2.7 GHz to 11 GHz to satisfy the 10-dB return-loss requirement and provides band-stop performance in the frequency band from 5.15 GHz to 6.1 GHz. Experimental results reveal that the proposed antenna exhibits good radiation performance and is suitable for UWB applications.

Al합금 열교환기의 전지작용부식에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Galvanic Corrosion of Al-alloy for Heat Exchanger)

  • Generally, material for radiator of automobile is composed of Al-alloy, but part of radiator material is still composed of Cu. Specially, Al-alloy replaces Cu and Cu-alloy as cooling and heating system material for light weight. Therefore, galvanic electronic cell is formed between Al-alloy and Cu for automobile radiator material, and Al-alloy corrosion is accelerated. So, in this study, galvanic corrosion test of Al-alloy coupling with Cu was carried out in distilled water, tap water, polluted environment and non-freezing solution. And thus corrosion potential and galvanic currrent density of Al-alloy coupling with Cu is investigated.
