Log Analysis System Design using RTMA

  • Every web server comprises a repository of all actions and events that occur on the server. Server logs can be used to quantify user traffic. Intelligent analysis of this data provides a statistical baseline that can be used to determine server load, failed requests and other events that throw light on site usage patterns. This information provides valuable leads on marketing and site management activities. In this paper, we propose a method of design for log analysis system using RTMA(realtime monitoring and analysis) technique.

세포 표면 특성을 이용한 사과 신선도 평가 (Evaluation of Apple Freshness by Characterizing Surface Texture of Cells)

  • The freshness of apple was evaluated by characterizing the surface texture of flesh cells. The freshness index which was related to the amount of wrinkles on the cell surface was defined to quantify the freshness. Four parameters relevant to the amount of the cell wrinkles were selected and measured using image analysis including wrinkle extraction procedure and Fast Fourier Transform of a wrinkle-extracted image. Out of 4 parameters, three parameters had highly significant correlations with the time elapsed after harvest. But it was concluded that two parameters out of such 3 parameters could be used for description of freshness index.

  • To quantify the hydraulic connection between river and aquifer, riverbed leakance values are required to be estimated. Silt, clay, and organic materials are often deposited in rivers resulting in the streambed having a lower hydraulic conductivity than the underlying alluvial aquifer The riverbed hydraulic conductivities are measured through vertical and oblique permeameter test. Anisotropic and heterogeneous properties of riverbed hydraulic conductivity were identified. Grain size analysis and flood wave response technique were checked along with the permeameter test for the riverbed hydraulic conductivity.

  • This work deals with the compensation of the impact of highly varying loads on the power system using a static var compensator(SVC). Highly varying loads is properly modelled via deterministic approach using PSCAD/EMTDC. Also, the procedure to determine a suitable capacity of the compensator is proposed. Finally, the new online index to quantify the harmonic distortion is introduced.

  • Liner complexity(LC), which could quantify the modal structure, were calculated from electroencephalograms(EEGs) in four states such as a pleasant and relaxed, a pleasant and aroused, an unpleasant and relaxed, and an unpleasant and aroused state. Each state was evoke by visual stimuli of relaxed or aroused state, LC could discriminate statistically state(t-test; p<0.01). LCs in pleasant states were larger than those in unpleasant ones.

  • Railroad line capacity is influenced by Quantitative and Qualitative factors which is applied by parameter to calculate it. But these parameters have been used experiential value without analyzing its reasonability or appropriate level. In this paper, we introduce the concept of robustness to Quantify parameter and evaluate robustness of it. For this purpose, we develop parameter evaluation simulator and present it. If this simulator is utilized, we can find the parameter having appropriate robustness and it will be applied to calculate more reasonable and systematic railroad line capacity.

  • Flow induced vibration experiments were done to determine the vibration magnitude of tubes in the economizer tube lane region of a steam generator. The objective of this experiment is to demonstrate that the tubes are not susceptible to harmful levels of vibration at 100% of full power flow and to quantify the remaining design margin at 120% and 140% of full power flow.

  • Risk, or exposure to uncertainty, is an inherent of risk-adjusted discount rate. It is therefore important part factor in the determination of risk-adjusted discount rate. This paper suggests the method to quantify risk and explains the process how to transfer quantified risk into incremental discount rate. The estimates of underlying risks will help determine the size of appropriate risk-adjusted discount rate with logical and scientific way when the technology valuation is made.

  • As the delay of the Kyungbu High Speed Railroad, HST should use conventional line through Daegoo to Pusan until the new railroad build. High speed railroad noise is one of the main causes of environmental impact. Whenever HST on conventional railroad line is planned or a housing project near an existing railroad is proposed, an estimate of the relevant noise levels is usually required. For this, it is necessary to quantify those parameters that affect the railroad noise. This paper deals with an estimation of high speed railroad noise on conventional line.

  • This paper presents an experimental study of te relationship between sound parameters of synthesized voice warning and perceived (psychoacoustic) urgency. Twenty four subjcts participated in two experimental sessions to evaluate and quantify the effects of te voice parameters. Experiments showed that speech rate, fundamental frequency, fundamental frequency contour types and voice types have clear and consistent effect on perceived urgency. The results of these experiments can be applied to the improvement of existing auditory warning systems and the design of new systems.
