As piling works in urban area increasing, SIP which is low noise & vibration piling method is taking place of driven pile which has good bearing charateristics and economics. Since SIP has been used for more than 15 years and it's application is increasing year by year, however, accurate analysis of bearing mechanism of SIP is not enough. So the design of SIP is much more conservative than driven pile. This paper is aimed to analyse the bearing charateristics of 103 SIPs constructed in Korea to give rational design criteria. Research result shows that bearing capacity of SIP is 40% lower than that of driven pile and conservative Meyerhof(equation omitted) method produced closer result to load test results than other design method. And this result show that to use optimised design criteria for the economic SIP design, quality control criteria must be settled down to produce high in-situ bearing capacity.

The purpose of this study was to determine the organoleptic charateristics of cauliflower pickles made in various compounding ratio according to central conposite design for optimum organoleptic characteristics of the cauliflower pickles. The optimum mixing condition of cauliflower pickles were optimized, using central composite design with 3 variables and 3 levels, by response surface methodology. The various kinds of cauliflower pickle were made in various compounding ratio of vinegar, salt and sucrose - critical ingredients of pickle recipe - and were presented to reliable panels, who graded the subjects in 7 degrees for 4 items : color, flavor, hardness and overall quality. The optimum mixing conditions of cauliflower pickle were 603.50g of vinegar, 80.13g of salt and 251.07g of sucrose in the maximum point of overall quality.

The problem of trajectory planning in two redundant robot systems is considered. The trajectory of each robot for the cooperative task is generated so that the robots assume their optimal configurations while following a given desired task. The cooperative task compatibility in and the weighted sum of manipulabilities are proposed and investigated as quality measures. The cooperative task compatibility includes the velocity and force transmission charateristics to the task requirements and so it measures the compatibilities of robot postures with respect to a given task. The weighted sum of manipuabilities of robot postures with respect to a given task. The weighted sum of manipulabilities is also considered as a quality measure since it is helpful to avoid singularities. The usefulness of the cooperative task compatibility and the weighted sum of manipulabilities are shown by computer simulation studies.

Main purpose of this study is to test the usefulness of the SBE method in measuring ‘complexity’‘beauty’and ‘friendliness’other than ‘preference’. The study results are as follows. 1) The SBE results are as reliable and valid in measuring ‘complexity’‘beauty’and ‘friendliness’as in measuring ‘preference’. However, the degree of reliability and convergent validity can vary according to the inherent charateristics of those abstract quality themselves. 2) The correlation coefficients among the result of rating, SBE, frequency, and paired comparison methods are very high. 3) The perceived beauty of urban residential landscape reaches highest at the higher complexity level than that of the rural residential landscape.

The objectives of this study were to compare the characteristics of water quality in alternative Aerobic-Anoxic(A/A) and Aerobic(Control) sludge digestion. The A/A process control parameter as the pH signal(dpH/dt) was used. Comparison of the result of A/A digestion with those of Aerobic digestion indicated a 54% saving in aeration compared to Aerobic digestion. TN removal efficiency rates of A/A and Aerobic digestion were 45% and 4%, respectively. The concentration of COD(64 mg/l and 268 mg/l for the A/A and Aerobic digestion, respectively) and Ortho-P in the supernatant were also less with A/A digestion. MLVSS and Coliform destructions were noticed similar for both digestion, but better dewatering charateristics were noted for the A/A digestion.

Consumer satisfaction and dissatisfaction is a important concept which composes the quality of life. It is especially important for fashion marketers to know the content of consumer dissatisfaction, because they can eliminate or minimize the sources of dissatisfaction to promote marketing efforts. The purpose of the study is to find out the content of dissatisfaction that consumers experience in buying process, and to see if the content of dissatisfaction differ according to consumers' buying practices and consumer charateristics. A questionaire was developed to measure consumer dissatisfaction, clothing buying behavior, clothing involvement and demographic characteristics. The questionaire was administered to 469 female adults during the spring of 1994. Social wear was selected as a clothing item for this study. The results of the study were as follows; 1. Consumer dissatisfaction in clothing buying process was analyzed into seven factors, such as sales personnel, quality and size, information and service, buying decision, product variety, shopping environment, and discounts sale. 2. According to consumers' clothing buying behavior, clothing involvement and demo- graphic characteristics, there were significant difference in consumer dissatisfaction.

In this paper, GaN films have been grown on SiO$_2$/Si(100) substrates by RF magnetron sputtering. To obtain high quality GaN films, we used ZnO buffer layer and modified the process conditions. The charateristics of GaN films on RF power, substrate temperature and Ar/N$_2$gas ratio have been investigated by Auger electron spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. At RF power 150W, substrate temperature 500 $^{\circ}C$ and Ar/N$_2$=1:2 gas ratio, we could grow high quality GaN films. Through the atomic force microscope and photoluminescence analysises, it was observed that the crystallization of GaN films was improved with increasing annealing temperature and the optimal crystallization of GaN films was found at 1100 $^{\circ}C$ annealing temperature.

As a prioiminary study on usage of metabolic charateristics of the indicator species for indirect estimation of environmental water quality, effects of environmental pollutants on survival, filtration and oxygen consumption rates in Corbicula aeana were investigated at 17$^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$ in 10 day afrer treatmint of pollutants. In case of glucose and complex fertilizer, the survival rates of the clams were 100% without any relation to individual sizes and water temperatures. In small sizes at $25^{\circ}C$, the survival rates of the clams by NH$_{4}$CI concentration were shown 95% at 10 mg/1 and 15mg/1, and 90% at 20mg/1, respectively. But the survival rate was 95%at 20 mg/1 of NH$_{4}$CI concentration in small size at 17$^{\circ}C$. The higher filtration and oxygin consumption rates were shown in small size at higher water timperatures(over $25^{\circ}C$), and generally filtration and oxygen consumption rates decreased with increase of glucose, complex fertilizer and NH$_{4}$CI concentrations, respectively. In general, effects of filtration and oxygen consumption rates at NH$_{4}$CI concentrations were shown slightly larger than those of glucose and complex fertilizer.

최근 도심지 및 주택지에서의 기초공사가 증가하면서 저소음ㆍ저진동 공법인 SIP가 지지력 및 경제성이 우수한 항타말뚝을 많이 대체하고 있는 실정이다. SIP가 국내에 사용된지가 15년이 지났고 해마다 사용량이 증가하고 있지만 SIP의 지지 메카니즘에 대한 정확한 규명이 부족하여 항타말뚝에 비하여 설계가 보수적인 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 국내 지반 및 시공조건에서 시공된 103본의 현장 SIP의 지지력을 분석하여 지지특성을 파악하고 적합한 설계법을 찾고자 하였다. 분석결과 SIP의 지지력이 항타말뚝에 비하여 40% 이상 작게 나타났으며 보수적인 Meyerhof(20$\bar{N}_b'A_b$) 방법으로 구한 지지력이 현장 재하시험결과에 제일 근접하였다. 보수적 인 설계를 탈피하여 보다 경제적인 최적설계를 이룩하기 위해서는 품질관리법을 국내 실정에 맞게 정립하여 시공하중을 높이는 선행과정이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

In Incheon Severance Hospital, a secondary delivery hospital, anesthesiologists have treated cancer pain in the operation room when referred from other department. Intrathecal neurolytic block is a valuable means of producing high quality pain relief in any hospital. It is simple to carry out, requires brief hospitalization, can be used in elderly or severely ill patients, can be repeated with the block wears off and its duration is sufficient for the terminal cancer patients. We reviewed the clinical charateristics of the intrathecal alcohol and phenol-glycerine used in two cases of cancer with pain.
