Qualitative research is a method widely used in marketing research. However, the method has seldom been used in fashion marketing research in Korea. The purpose of this study was to prove that using both qualitative and quantitative research methods in main stage is much useful than using qualitative research method only in exploratory stage. Qualitative data were gathered by conducting Focus Group Interview(FGI) with 48 college students. Quantitative data were gathered by surveying college students, and 487 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. The data were analyzed using content analysis, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. As a result, FGI, one of the tools used in qualitative research methods, was proved to be useful in revealing consumers´deep emotional needs as well as purchase motives. FGI also revealed information which quantitative research method tools such as survey could have missed. Therefore, it is best to use multiple methods-simultaneous use of quantitative and qualitative methods-to understand fast changing consumers´needs and purchase motives.

The purpose of this study is to propose the design elements useful to give place identity to street space. The theory for place identity is studied and the components-Physical element, Sense, Program, Activity, Context-for identity of place is created. In the case study of SamcheongdongGil, the qualitative research method of Free Picturing Technique and Cognitive Mapping is executed and the samples gathered from the research are analyzed. In the process of analysis, the contents of qualitative evaluation by users is put in order as components for identity of place. Moreover, the design elements for street space are extracted from the case study and theories of urban design. The design elements are summarized as the followings: street pattern with high permeability, various streetscapes, greenscapes, semi public(private) spaces, the third places, public arts, transparent facades, and outdoor activities. Finally, the fruits and boundary of this study are described and the importance of place identity is.

As many organizations have adopted and implemented ERP systems, concerns about ERP performance also have increased. Former researches studied the ERP implementation of general large or medium size enterprises but there are not enough studies on ERP systems of a specific industry domain. In this paper, we introduce a case study on ERP adoption methodology of global leading company 'D' in shipbuilding and marine engineering industry. We examined ERP implementation background, method and scope and evaluated ERP performance in perspective of both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative research usually examines ERP performance based on financial statements and qualitative study typically examines organization change or improvement. As a result, ERP implementation in shipbuilding and marine industry can improve quantitative aspects such as cost, human resource and organization performance. As qualitative analysis, business process and tools can be unified and management transparency can be improved by ERP implementation. The result of this paper will be useful guideline for organizations which are considering ERP systems.

This study aims to investigate how the mentoring program affects married immigrant women and their mentors. The mentoring program as a man-to-man program was conducted in 2009 and provided married immigrant women with an agricultural education program. This study used a case study as a research method and collected data using interviews and observations. Participants were selected according to Patton's (2002) purposeful sampling strategies, and the results of data analysis were evaluated by the method of Evaluation Checklist. In order to increase the internal validity of the study, this study used both triangulation and peer examination. By including the diverse aspects of the mentoring program, this study shows that each case has special characteristics according to the situations of married immigrant women and their mentors. As a result, this qualitative research project provided the detailed picture of the mentoring program by specifically describing how married immigrant women had a relationship with their mentors.

본 연구는 사회복지실천현장의 사례관리자들의 직무세계를 분석하기 위해서 그들이 수행하는 사례관리 직무의 빈도, 가장 중요하다고 생각하는 직무군의 유형과 그 이유, 가장 어렵게 생각하는 직무의 유형과 그 이유를 질적사례연구방법을 통해 살펴보았다. 사례관리 직무범주는 데이컴 방법으로 도출했으며 도출된 9개의 직무영역을 사례관리 수행빈도, 중요도, 난이도로 분석하였다. 연구참여자는 사례관리를 주 업무로 하는 3년 이상의 사회복지사 10명이 세평적사례선택을 통해 선택되었으며 자료분석은 매몰된 분석(embedded analysis) 유형을 따라 이루어졌다. 연구결과에 대한 함의에서 연구자들은 본 연구 참여자들의 사례관리실천 경험을 "이용자 중심의 서비스와 제도적 압력 사이에서 긴장을 유지하며 균형점을 찾는 과정"으로 기술했다. 연구결과를 근거로 지역사회복지네트워크 구성, 사례관리자들의 직무권한을 보장하는 제도적 장치 마련, 균형과 상향평준화를 위한 표준매뉴얼의 개발을 제안했다.

Today's universities have a keen interest in educational reform. The issue of population decline in college-age due to population decline is not new. Universities have been developing quantitatively for a long time and are now considering ways to survive rather than qualitative growth. Since the sharp decline in the school-age population due to the population decline has no clear solution immediately, universities are overcoming this crisis by creating many alternatives. Attracting international students is one of them. In this study, the effectiveness of photovoice was examined through the analysis of the case of the Korean-Japanese convergence cartoon class. The photo-voice method has sufficient potential as a teaching method for foreign convergence classes and can be expected to play a role as a teaching method suitable for students participating in convergence classes with different social, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. In particular, in the convergence class, since participating students generate research materials through photo production, it can be a tool for inner exploration necessary for webtoon production and a tool for narrative inquiry for storytelling. It is expected that expanding the understanding and use of photo voice will have the methodological value of convergence classes. In addition, the teaching method using photo voice produced in the composition of photos and stories is likely to be used as an appropriate tool for convergence classes for students with different social, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.

In the construction industry, Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) is considered to be the most suitable approach and determining the attribute weights is an important CBR problem. In this paper, a method is proposed for determining attribute weights that are calculated with attribute relation. The basic items of consideration were qualitative and quantitative influence factors. These quantitative factors were related to the qualitative factors to develop a Cost Drivers-structural equation model which can be used to estimate construction cost by considering attribute weight. The process of determining the attribute weight-structural equation model consists o 4 phases: selecting the predominant Cost Drivers for the SEM, applying the Cost Driers in the SEM, determining and verifying the attribute weights and deriving the Cost Estimation Equation. This study develops a cost estimating technique that complements the CBR method with a Cost Drivers-structural equation model which can be actively used during the schematic estimating phases of construction.

본 논문에서는 이분적 암반분류 방법 보다 일반적인 다분적 암반분류 방법의 응용에 관해 연구하였다. 특히, 정성적 데이타를 체계적으로 이용할 수 있는 방법이 모색되었다. 응용 예를 통해 Bieniawski의 암반평가 시스템 (rock mass rating system, RMR)과 같이 암반을 두개 이상의 다등급으로 분류할 경우 본 논문에 제시된 방법이 효과적으로 사용될 수 있고 체계적인 암반조사를 위해 크게 기여할 것으로 생각된다. 또한, 오차에 대응하는 비용(cost of errors)의 기대값이 암반조사를 위한 시추 방법이 잘 계획되었는지에 관한 평가척도로 이용될 수 있음을 알았다.

본 논문은 수학 수업에 대한 새로운 연구 방법으로서 교사의 자서전을 소개하고 그에 따른 연구 사례를 밝히고자 하였다. 첫째로 수학 수업 연구의 질적 연구 방법으로서 교사의 자서전 도입의 가능성이라는 측면에서, 자서전 연구의 성격을 밝히고 수학 수업 연구 방법으로서 자서전 연구가 갖는 의의와 난점을 논의하였다. 둘째로 본 연구가 설정한 자서전 연구 방법에 의한 연구 사례로서, 초보교사에서 경력교사로 가는 동안의 자서전을 통하여 수학 수업에 대한 교사의 숙고 과정을 살펴보았다.

In order to examine the ways to improve the efficiency of R&D investment, this paper presents analysis on both quantitative and qualitative efficiency of R&D projects. As Korea's R&D investment has significantly increased in recent years, the efficiency of R&D investment has attracted attention. In this paper, a Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) method is used to construct models for quantitative efficiency and qualitative efficiency analysis. Based on a cases of agricultural R&D projects of Korea, the efficiency of national R&D projects were analyzed and their quantitative and qualitative efficiencies are compared. As a result, statistically significant difference between quantitative and qualitative efficiency was found. Also, characteristics of Decision Making Units(DMUs) which can influence both quantitative and qualitative efficiency were identified. In particular, the stage of a R&D project has significant impact on R&D efficiency. This study suggests that in order to enhance R&D efficiency both quantitative and qualitative nature of outputs should be considered when measuring R&D efficiency.
