This study was carried out to predict the optimal growth site and estimate carbon stocks of Quercus acuta, evergreen broad-leaved trees in warm temperate zone according to climate change. The criterion for the optimal site prediction was created by quantification method with quantitative and qualitative data, collected from growth factors of stands and environmental factors of survey sites of 42 plots in Q. acuta by study relationship between growth of tree and site environmental factors. A program for the optimal site prediction was developed by using GIS engine tools. To prediction of the suitable growth site of Quercus acuta, developed program in this study applied to Wando in Jeollanam-do, distributing a various evergreen bread-leaved trees of warm temperate zone. In the results from analysis of the optimal site prediction on Q. acuta, the characteristics of the optimal site showed as follows; site environmental features of class I (the best site class for Q. acuta) was defined as 401 ~ 500 m of altitude, $21{\sim}25^{\circ}$ of slope with above hillside, residual of deposit convex of slope type with west of aspect. The area and carbon stocks of optimal site prediction by class for Q. acuta in classI showed 147.1 ha (2.5%), total 316.5 tC/ha, total $1,161tCO_2/ha/yr$ of class I, 2,703.5 ha (46.3%), total 5,817.4 tC/ha, total $21,331tCO_2/ha/yr$ of class II, 2,845.5 ha (48.6%), total 6,123.0 tC/ha, total $2,845.5tCO_2/ha/yr$ of class III and 153.7 ha (2.6%), total 330.7 tC/ha, total $1,213.7tCO_2/ha/yr$ of class IV.

Images captured by drone have the advantage of quickly constructing spatial information in small areas and are applied to fields that require quick decision making. If an image registration technique that can automatically register the drone image on the ortho-image with the ground coordinate system is applied, it can be used for various analyses. In this study, a methodology for geo-referencing of a single image and sequential images using drones was proposed even if they differ in spatio-temporal resolution using linear features and distinct points. Through the method using linear features, projective transformation parameters for the initial geo-referencing between images were determined, and then finally the geo-referencing of the image was performed through the template matching for distinct points that can be extracted from the images. Experimental results showed that the accuracy of the geo-referencing was high in an area where relief displacement of the terrain was not large. On the other hand, there were some errors in the quantitative aspect of the area where the change of the terrain was large. However, it was considered that the results of geo-referencing of the sequential images could be fully utilized for the qualitative analysis.

When considering the long-term safety assessment of spent-nuclear fuel management, americium is one of the most radio-toxic actinides. Although spectroscopic methods are widely used for the study of actinide chemistry, application of those methods to americium chemistry has been limited. Herein, we purified $^{241}Am$ to obtain a highly pure stock solution required for spectroscopic studies. Quantitative and qualitative analyses of purified $^{241}Am$ were carried out using liquid scintillation counting, and gamma and alpha radiation spectrometry. Highly sensitive absorption spectrometry coupled with a liquid waveguide capillary cell and time-resolved laser fluorescence spectroscopy were employed for the study of Am(III) hydrolysis and oxalate (Ox) complexation. $Am^{3+}$ ions under acidic conditions exhibit maximum absorbance at 503 nm, with a molar absorption coefficient of $424{\pm}8cm^{-1}{\cdot}M^{-1}$. $Am(OH)_3(s)$ colloidal particles formed under near neutral pH conditions were identified by monitoring the absorbance at around 506-507 nm. The formation of ${Am(Ox)_3}^{3-}$ was detected by red-shifts of the absorption and luminescence spectra of 4 and 5 nm, respectively. In addition, considerable enhancements of the luminescence intensities were observed. The luminescence lifetime of ${Am(Ox)_3}^{3-}$ increased from 23 to 56 ns, which indicates that approximately six water molecules are replaced by carboxylate ligands in the inner-sphere of the Am(III). These results suggest that ${Am(Ox)_3}^{3-}$ is formed through the bidentate coordination of the oxalate ligands.
This study was to explore the domestic research trends, and education and operation cases concerned with Korean colleges in the fourth industrial revolution era. It was conducted through the analysis of 114 academic papers registered to the Korea Research Foundation, the newspaper articles, and the main 4-year university homepage from 2016 to April 2019. The results was as follows. Research papers have been increasing since 2016; research were conducted by humanities and social sciences as well as engineering academics interesting in research topics such as technologies, curriculum, and teaching and learning by mainly using quantitative research, literature research. As for the college education, reorganization of the undergraduate and majors centered on the science and engineering field, teaching and learning related with learner's participation and performance, and provide efficient academic affairs management and career guidance using Chatbot or Cloud computing. Industry-academia cooperation was focuses on the field of science and engineering. In future research, it is necessary to explore the research on college students' career and employment, the research on academic affairs management and infrastructure, the relational research considering the variables among college students and faculties, and the qualitative and mixed method approach.

Various artificial reefs provide the fish habitat and nursery, and contribute the improvement of fisheries productivity. The evaluation methods of fishery resources in the artificial reefs have been done by fishing, scuba diving, underwater camera, and scientific echo sounder/sonar. There are a number of studies using echosounders on the quantitative and qualitative evaluations of artificial reefs in various seas around the world. This study focused on the spatial distribution of fishes around artificial reefs and the influential area of reefs off Bukchon, Jeju Island. Not only acoustic data but also various properties of artificial reefs were used in the geographic information system to extract relevant results. As a result, the major material of reefs on this study site was concrete and the number of reefs with that material was the most. The volume of reefs consisted of steel only and steel with riprap was considerably large compared to other reefs. The average NASC in the vertical distribution of fishes in artificial reefs was $31.6m^2/nm^2$ in April, and that was $61.3m^2/nm^2$ in June. The distance between the fish school and their nearest reef in June morning had a wide range from 750 to 3250 m. On the basis of the influence ray of artificial reefs, it had a tendancy of NASC to decrease with distance from the reef in the June morning. It is a preliminary study to present the geospatial analysis example to understand a better way of comprehensive artificial reef environments.

The purpose of this study is to guide the design and operation of maker education programs in school library and to spread them by sharing the maker education program case. For this purpose, we explained the case of maker education of Daegu S high school library and analyzed its significance in terms of users in quantitative and qualitative way. In order to analyze the user's perception of the image and self-efficacy of capacity building of school library maker education, we compared it with the perception of existing school library education programs. In addition, we analyzed whether there is a statistically significant difference in the perception of the maker education according to the grade of the student and the experience of the maker education. The perception of school library maker education was not more positive than the existing school library education program. However, it is noteworthy that students who experienced school library maker education showed a positive image and high level of perception of the self-efficacy of capacity building in both existing school library education and manufacturing education compared to those who did not. These results suggest that school library maker education can improve the overall image of school library education and raise perception of the self-efficacy of capacity building. We hope that this study will contribute to activate school library maker education.
In order to investigate the trends in science education research using AR (Augmented Reality) and derive implications for elementary science education, we analyzed 71 research articles on AR application in science education published in both Korea and abroad from 2010 to August 2020. In quantitative aspects, the number of published articles has steadily increased. For domestic researches, the number of papers targeting for elementary school students was higher than that of middle & high school students. In the research method aspects, qualitative methods were most frequently used. In particular, papers regarding the development of AR program and verification of its effectiveness were most frequently published. The researches using mixed method in domestic field were smaller in number than that of the research in abroad. There were similar trends in research targeting elementary school students. In the aspects of the contents, more researches were performed on biology and earth science areas than others. In case of researches for elementary school students, the proportion of researches on biology and earth science was even higher. Domestically the proportion of studies on the convergence of science and non-science subjects was higher than that of foreign studies. The number of researches exploring the effectiveness on 'non-scientific attitude domain', 'cognitive domain', and 'program domain' were relatively higher than that on 'inquiry & practice domain' and 'science-related attitude domain'. For types of AR contents, 'observation manipulation type' was mostly studied, followed by 'experimental activity type', and 'learning guide type'. In case of studies on elementary school students, the ratio of 'observation manipulation type' contents was higher than that of others, whereas studies on 'field problem solving type' were relatively less reported than others. In addition, studies on 'simple interaction' were most frequently reported. Particularly, there were relatively few studies on 'linear and nonlinear interactions' in domestic field. As a result of analyzing key words, we found that the key words related to the characteristics and implementation of AR frequently occurred, and the key words related to elementary education and the merits of AR had many direct connections with other key words.
Education for Sustainable Development is an imperative mean to achieve the sustainable development which is the key idea that meets the needs of both present and succeeding generations by reconciling environmental protection, social development and economic growth. This study addressed the following question. First, what is the overall structure of the ESD contents presented in the textbooks? Second, How are the sub-contents of ESD distributed in the textbooks? Lastly, How are the ESD contents connected to mathematics in the textbooks? For this purpose, the contents in the elemtentary mathematics textbooks from 1st to 6th grades were analyzed at both macro and micro levels through quantitative and qualitative research methods. As results, contents related to environmental, social, and economic dimensions were presented from the first grade. The contents were involved the mathematics content domains of Numbers and Operations, Data and Possibilities, and Patterns. However, the contents were presented intensively in middle and high grades, and environmental topics accounted for a high proportion. Among the activities related to ESD, many were focused on solving problems mathematically while some were presented to solve problems as well as to consider sustainability through the activities. Based on the results, the study aims to provide implications for the direction of mathematics education for sustainable development in elementary school.
The oxidation slag has been widely used in civil engineering project, whereas the reduced slag from electric furnace has yet to be applied. Consequently in order to find out the recycling method in civil engineering field, the mineral compositions of the reduced slag were analyzed and some tests on water quality were performed to estimate the potential release of toxic compounds. Slag-soil mixtures of 0, 10, 20 and 30%(dry weight) soil were prepared in lysimeter columns and the effluents were collected with the period of one, two and four week options in closed system, respectively. The result from qualitative and quantitative analysis using X-ray Diffraction(XRD) and X-ray Fluorescence(XRF) indicates that the main mineral of the reduced slag is $Ca_2(SiO_4)$, a kind of calcium silicate. Also, the leaching medium analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy(ICP-OES) showed that main heavy metals such as Al, Fe and Mn are included in the reduced slag due to the effect of steel production process. It can be seen that the leachate does not violate the regulation guide line of waste material of heavy metal. Also the pH levels were increased from pH 6.9 for 0% soil to pH 10 for 30% soil. However the influence on leachate circulation period of one through four weeks was negligible.

In this study, chemical information on a total of 20 individual compounds was constructed to identify isoflavones from the previous reports related with used parts(seeds, leaves, stems, pods) and products of soybean(Glycine max L.). Through constructed library and UPLC-DAD-QToF/MS analysis, a total of 19 individual isoflavones including aglycones, glucosides, acetylglucosides and malonylglucosides as major compounds was identified and quantified from 14 selected soybean seeds. Among them, genistein 7-O-(2"-O-apiosyl)glucoside and genistein 7-O-(6"-O-apiosyl)glucoside(ambocin) were identified tentatively as novel compounds in soybean seeds. Besides, among malonylglucosides, glycitein 4'-O-(6"-O-malonyl)glucoside was estimated for the first time. Total isoflavone contents were distributed from 240.21 to 445.21(mg/100 g, dry matter) and 7-O-6"-O-malonylglucosides were composed of 77.8% on total isoflavone as well as genistein derivatives were confirmed as major class. It was considered importantly that the development of isoflavone-rich varieties was necessary to strengthen their effects such as anti-inflammation, anti-cancer and menopause mitigation. The qualitative and quantitative data presented precisely in this study could be help to select and breed isoflavone-rich varieties. Furthermore, their basic isoflavone profile is expected to be applied to estimate the change of isoflavone conjugates on bioavailability after soy food supplements.
