This study aimed to identify the effects of adult women's fashion innovativeness and purchase situation factors on fashion adoption. To explain women's fashion adoption at the point of clothing purchases, fashion innovativeness and 3 dimensions of purchase situation were adopted as explanatory variables. Total usable questionnaires were obtained from 801 women aged between 20 and 39. Factor analysis on purchase situation resulted in 3 dimensional structures of purchase situation: Store atmosphere, Store policy and Pre-purchase condition. Women groups divided by fashion innovativeness level showed meaningful differences in their purchase situation level and fashion adoption level. Women groups divided by 3 dimensions of purchase situation also showed significant differences in fashion innovativeness level and fashion adoption level. Fashion innovativeness, Store atmosphere and Pre-purchase condition except Store policy positively affected fashion adoption.

Under the situation which customer orders are cancelled unless all products in the order are delivered all at once, this paper concentrates on the purchase dependent demands and explores the systematic approach to implant the purchase dependence into the multi-product inventory model. First, by acknowledging that it is a challenging task to formulate a suitable inventory model for the purchase dependence, we derive the optimal solution condition using an EOQ model and extend the optimal solution condition to periodic review models. Then, through the comparison simulation of four inventory policies regarding several degrees of purchase dependence, we demonstrate that the inventory models which consider the purchase dependence generate less total cost than the inventory models which ignore the purchase dependence. In general, the inventory models which consider the purchase dependence reduce the loss of sales by maintaining more inventories, which results in reducing the total cost. Consequently, the simulation result supports the effectiveness of this paper's approach. In addition, this paper uses the individual order period and joint order period obtained from the EOQ model for the multi-product inventory model. Through the in-depth analysis of comparing the two models, we observe that the model of using the joint order period produces less total cost when the degree of purchase dependence is high, but the model of using the individual order period produces less total cost when the degree of purchase dependence is low.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to provide managerial implications for retail brand managers. Specifically, current study divide donation type into direct donation(e.g., corporate philanthropy) and indirect donation(cause-related marketing) and investigate the donation type on the purchase intention. Also, this research intends to provide the mechanism between the donation type on the purchase intention by showing the mediating role of the consumers' perceived warmth. Moreover, the moderating role of the brand type(non-luxury vs. luxury brand) between the donation type, the warmth perception, and the purchase intention will be examined. Research design, data, and methodology - A total of 174 undergraduate students from a university in Korea were recruited and were randomly assigned to the conditions of a 2(donation type: indirect vs. direct) X 2 (brand type: non-luxury vs. luxury) between-subjects design. The hypotheses were tested using SPSS 21.0. Two-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results - Empirical results showed that the consumers' perceived warmth was higher in the direct donation condition than the indirect donation condition and moreover this influence of the donation type on the perceived warmth was moderated by the brand type. Specifically, the influence of donation type on the perceived warmth was significant only for luxury brand. And there is an interaction effect of donation type and brand type on the purchase intention. More specifically, the purchase intention for luxury brand was higher in the direct donation condition than the indirect donation condition whereas the purchase intention for non-luxury brand was higher in the indirect donation condition than in the direct donation condition. Conclusions - This research contributed to the CSR literature of retail brand management by showing that the influence of the donation type and the brand type on the purchase intention. Moreover, this study enriched CSR literature by introducing Stereotype Content Model and showing the mediating role of the consumers' perceived warmth. Managerially, these results suggested retail brand managers of non-luxury brand and luxury brand how to select an appropriate type of donation and conduct CSR strategies.
Although music is one of the most important attributes of broadcasting communications, few studies have examined the relationship between background music and the behavior of audiences, particularly in the context of TV home shopping programs, where purchase decisions are made while watching the show. The objective of this study is to examine whether certain characteristics of music in broadcasting communications can affect the audiences' purchase intentions or behaviors. Unlike previous studies on this issue, this study considers the impulse-inducing capability (IIC) of music as an important variable affecting consumers' purchase intension. A 2×3 (high/low involvement and high/low/no IIC music) between subjects design was used for the experiments in the study. The TV home shopping programs in the high or low involvement condition were identical except for the type of background music: high IIC music, low IIC music, and no music. A total of 188 undergraduate students at a college in Seoul, South Korea participated in the study. Their ages range from 20 to 25 (median age = 22), and nearly 60% were male. Our analysis showed that in the low involvement condition, high IIC music was more likely to have a positive effect on purchase intentions than low IIC (common) music or no music did. Meanwhile, there was not any significant relationship between music and purchase intentions in the high involvement condition. Given that previous studies have provided no clear evidence of the effects of music on consumers' purchase intentions or behaviors, this study makes an important contribution to the literature in this field. The result of this study provides implications to the practitioners in the market, too. Marketers need to reevaluate the value of music used in broadcasting communications and pay more attention to find the right music for their campaigns. Limitations of this study as well as directions for future studies are also discussed.
With the development of new technologies, virtual reality (VR) is emerging as a new consumer marketing platform. Yet, only a few studies have investigated VR in the consumption context. The current research explores how experiencing a product through VR influences consumer attitude and purchase intention for the product. Although assessing products in real life is believed to be more diagnostic than that through VR, the present research revealed that experiencing a product through VR could lead to a more positive attitude toward and higher purchase intention for the product. We also demonstrated that "enjoyment" has a mediating effect while evaluating the product through VR. To compare product experience through VR to that in real life, we employed the HTC Vive VR system to implement a VR environment. In the VR condition, participants evaluated plastic building blocks using a VR headset and a motion controller; and in the real life (reality) condition, they evaluted plastic building blocks printed using a 3D printer to make them look exactly the same as the blocks used in the VR condition. Finally, implications and suggestions are discussed.
Recently the globalization of agriculture by the WTO has brought crisis to Korean farmers. Value added agricultural products is the one of the strategies to sustain fanning. The idea for the project traditional fermented soy paste production and distribution was developed by the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research Institute. It was necessary to know the purchase condition and consumer needs for production distribution of the soy products. This study aims to investigate the consumers' need analysis of direct-deal soy products and the conditions of a purchase. A questionnaire was administered to 590 subjects living in Gyeonggi-do, Korea. The 107 subjects procured soy paste to buy with the reason of ignorance of preparation (39.2%) and the difficulty of storage and care (31.8%). When selecting the product 95.3%, previous experience (41.1 %) and comparison of each product (34.6%) were major answers, wanted direct-deal purchase from producers if implemented. 142 subjects(24%) experienced direct deal with producers. The main direct route was government and public offices( 42.4 %). The reason for direct purchase was confidence of agricultural products(77.5%). Delivery of 4kg of soy paste and 1.8 L of soy sauce in a glass container (43.0%) was favored twice a year. The kind of soy products for consumers' needs was Doenjang(57.8%) and Gochujang(18.3%). The preferred methods direct-dealing of soy products was direct order(59.9%) after validation, delivery gate to gate (44.2%) and by the internet(4.9%). The results of the study shows that the types of production would have the kinds and quantities diversity with confidence, sanitation, and safety. To regain successful, traditional tastes it is necessary to develop reliable and tasteful products for consumers and develop promotional material.

This research deals with the issues concerning how consumers change their purchase behavior if one of brands in the market prolongs its coupon duration while there are more than two brands. If they extend coupon duration of a brand, consumers increase Purchase of the brand with coupons. But they increase or reduce purchase of competing brands with coupons depending on the condition of the market. increase of purchase of the brand with prolonged coupons stems from reducing purchase of the consumer's most favorite brands with regular price and their less preferred brands with coupons. On the other hand, consumers who prefer the brand at in-between level tend to reduce purchase of competing brands with coupons under certain conditions. Therefore firms which do not have dominant market positions have strong incentive for strategic alliance in terms of coupon duration.
This study is aimed to examine the wearing, the clothing satisfaction and the actual purchase conditions of dance sportswear for females in their 20s~50s in order to provide a basic resource for the development of motion functionality and emotionally suitable dance sportswear. As a result, females in their 50s are considered with higher percentages of participation and more than half of them participated in the Latin American sports dance. As for the frequency of activities per week, 1~2 times per week is the largest portion with the main purpose of health and diet for all age levels. Participants with more than 3 years of experience have more proper clothing as compared with those less than 1 year of experience. The most inconvenient point is the rolling up of the upper clothes in the case for two pieces of clothing. The purchase frequency of dance sportswear is once or twice per year which shows no differences for all age levels and the repurchase period is considered to be long. As for price, items less than 50,000 won hold the highest portion which meant that they preferred low priced clothing. When they purchase dance sportswear, more than 80% of the participants consider design and materials as the most important factors.
