Background: Tobacco use is a leading cause of preventable morbidity and mortality from non-communicable diseases. The objectives of the study were to determine the percentage of annual income used to purchase tobacco-related products and treat tobacco-related illnesses, and assess the characteristics of smokers and their awareness of the health-related risks of smoking. Method: Stratified and snowball sampling methods were used to obtain information (via a 17-item, close-ended questionnaire) from 85 adult respondents (49 males and 36 females). The instrument comprised of demographic characteristics, smoking behavioural/lifestyle, health, and micro socio-economics. Results: There were no significant differences between individuals who were affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) (14.1%) and cardiovascular disease (18.8%). It was found that respondents spend 30-39% of their annual income on tobacco-related products. Forty percent (40.0%) and 41.7% of respondents with lung cancer and COPD respectively spend more than 50% of their annual income to treat these diseases. The majority (80%) of those who continues to consume tobacco-related products were uncertain as to why they were doing it. Not all the smokers were aware of the dangers of tobacco consumption despite their level of education. Conclusion: The majority of the respondents who had tobacco-related illnesses such as lung cancer and COPD spend a significant amount of their income on their health care. Not all the smokers were aware of the dangers of tobacco consumption despite their level of education. This suggests the need for increase public awareness where both smokers and non smokers are being fully or adequately informed about the dangers or health risks of tobacco consumption.

Industry 4.0's goal is the 'Smart Factory' that integrates and controls production process, procurement, distribution and service based on the fundamental technology such as internet of the things, cyber physical system, sensor, etc. Basic requirement for successful promotion of this Industry 4.0 is the large supply of semiconductor. However, company I who produces dicing blades has difficulty to meet the increasing demand and has hard time to increase revenue because its raw material includes high price diamond, and requires very complex and sensitive process for production. Therefore, this study is focused on understanding the problems and presenting optimal plan to increase productivity of dicing blade manufacturing processes. We carried out a study as follows to accomplish the above purposes. First, previous researches were investigated. Second, the bottlenecks in manufacturing processes were identified using simulation tool (Arena 14.3). Third, we calculate investment amount according to added equipments purchase and perform economic analysis according to cost and sales increase. Finally, we derive optimum plan for productivity improvement and analyze its expected effect. To summarize these results as follows : First, daily average blade production volume can be increased two times from 60 ea. to 120 ea. by performing mixing job in the day before. Second, work flow can be smoother due to reduced waiting time if more machines are added to improve setting process. It was found that average waiting time of 23 minutes can be reduced to around 9 minutes from current process. Third, it was found through simulation that the whole processing line can compose smoother production line by performing mixing process in advance, and add setting and sintering machines. In the course of this study, it was found that adding more machines to reduce waiting time is not the best alternative.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and utilization of salted seafood in Korean women. We also asked them about their opinions on how to increase the production range of popular salted seafood. Data were collected from 1,137 women and were analyzed with SAS 9.1 program. Women aged between 40 and 59 had higher positive perception of salted seafood than women aged between 20 and 39. The older age group (i.e. 40 to 59) believed that the production of salted seafood, such as like as Kimchi and soy sauce, should be globalized because of their taste and nutritional value. However, the younger age group (i.e. 20 to 39) had negative perceptions of salted seafood because of their unhygienic production and excess amount of salt. Women aged 50 and over used salted seafood frequently as a side dish or seasoning to make Kimchi, stew, or soup. The younger age group preferred to purchase a small package (200g or less) of salted seafoods from the grocery store instead of preparing it themselves. When purchasing salted seafood, they considered the taste, manufacturer, and expiration date. Finally, all interviewees agreed on the importance of salted seafood as part of traditional Korean cuisine, and wanted to see further local development. However, manufacturing and packaging processes need to be standardized, and hygiene and nutritional contents should be improved in order to achieve good quality local production. To succeed and develop high quality salted seafood, younger consumers need to be enticed with better nutritional value, taste, and hygienic production. Furthermore, the production range of popular salted seafood needs to be expanded beyond Kimchi and Soy Sauce. Hence new recipes are needed.
To investigate recognition and use of nutrition labeling on eating-out menus, self-recorded questionnaire was surveyed for 641 consumers who visited hamburger and pizza restaurants in Daejeon from May to July, 2010. Subjects were women of 51.3% and 92.9% aged 10s or 20s. Use frequency of hamburger and pizza restaurants was 2-3 times a month with 56.9%. Of subjects 41.0% knew nutrition labeling mandates of eating-out menus, 64.6% have seen nutrition labels of menus, and 44.5% read nutrition labels when purchasing. Among subjects who read nutrition labels, 67.0% (29.8% of total) referred to it when menu purchase and 60.4% (26.9% of total) experienced changing menu. The ratio of reading nutrition labels was different among gender, diet trial frequency and monthly eating-out cost. Reasons for not reading labels were "not interested in" or "never heard about" for 57.0%, and "not noticeable" for 28.7%. The ratio who read correctly all 3 pieces of information, such as calorie amount, daily value, and way of using daily value was 39.2%. Average number of correct reading was 2.13, which was different among gender, marital status, having children, diet trial frequency, monthly eating-out cost, the restaurants use frequency, and accompanying person. Many subjects wanted to be additionally provided with cholesterol and transfat. Therefore, practical and differentiated consumer educations considering consumer features are required for better nutrition labeling usage. Government's regulatory efforts and voluntary effort of eating-out companies, such as adding nutrients on labels and improving labeling places, are also necessary.
The objectives of this study were to investigate the current status of the Korean government-funded meal support program for low-income children through convenience stores and to evaluate the nutritional quality of the meal items available under the program. The POS data of three convenient stores where children had used their electronic meal cards most often in Seoul during January 2010 and the kinds and amounts of ingredients of the meal items available to the children were obtained from the headquarter of the convenient stores. A total of 5,081 transactions by 693 children included in the POS data was analyzed. In addition, nutritional contents of meal items, which were meal boxes (11 kinds), kimbab (13 kinds), rice balls (27 kinds), inari sushi (1 kind), and sandwiches (26 kinds), were analyzed with Can Pro 3.0. The results showed that children had purchased flavored-milk products most often. Children tended to purchase meal items together with drinks (60.9% of transactions), but some purchased drinks (27.6%) or meal items only (11.5%). Except for meal boxes, none of the meal items satisfied 1/3 of Estimated Energy Requirements of the 9-11 year-old boys per day. The average energy contents of different kinds of meal boxes, kimbabs, rice balls, and sandwiches were 619, 357, 200, and 380 kcal, respectively, and the energy content of a package of Inari sushi was 457 kcal. Vitamin C amount was found to be deficient in all the meal items, compared to 1/3 of Recommended Intake of the 9-11 year-old boys per day. The results of this study could be useful to develop nutritionally appropriate meal items for the convenient stores participating in the government-funded meal support program for children from lowincome families.
This paper aims to investigate key factors affecting customer adoption of the online review from the three perspectives such as customer review characteristics, reviewer characteristics, and customer characteristics. We collected data on customers who have experience in purchasing products in Taobao. The major findings are as follows. First, the customer review amount and vividness are not directly related to customer adoption of the online review. Second, the trust of reviewer and perceived similarity have positive effects on customer adoption of the online review. Third, the prior knowledge and product involvement increase customer adoption of the online review. Finally, customers' purchase intention is greatly determined by customer adoption of the online review. This paper presents the importance of the management of customer reviews and management method for the stakeholders of shopping mall to advancing Chinese market.

By development of renewable energies and high-efficient facilities and deregulated electricity market, the operation cost of distributed generation(DG) becomes more competitive. The amount of distributed resource is considerably increasing in the distribution network consequently. Also, international environmental regulations of the leaking carbon become effective to keep pace with the global efforts for low-carbon paradigm. It contributes to spread out the business of DG. Therefore, the operator of DG is able to supply electric power to customers who are connected directly to DG as well as loads that are connected to entire network. In this situation, community energy system(CES) having DGs is recently a new participant in the energy market. DG's purchase price from the market is different from the DG's sales price to the market due to the transmission service charges and etc. Therefore, CES who owns DGs has to control the produced electric power per hourly period in order to maximize the profit. If there is no regulation for carbon emission(CE), the generators which get higher production than generation cost will hold a prominent position in a competitive price. However, considering the international environment regulation, CE newly will be an important element to decide the marginal cost of generators as well as the classified fuel unit cost and unit's efficiency. This paper will introduce the optimal operation of CES's DG connected to the distribution network considering CE. The purpose of optimization is to maximize the profit of CES and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) will be used to solve this problem. The optimal operation of DG represented in this paper is to be resource to CES and system operator for determining the decision making criteria.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the satisfaction with repair service of assistive technology devices for the disabled and the current state of the service, find the problems of the repair service, and to seek an effective development plan. This study had been conducted from July to October, 2015, with 750 disabled, and 280 completed questionnaires were returned and analyzed. Among assistive technology devices, the devices that required repair most were mobility devices. Repair was made mostly in purchase agencies and the repair institute. In the satisfaction survey, the causes for somewhat dissatisfaction were long repair time and complicated repair application and procedure. With regard to the central government's roles to active repair service for assistive technology devices, it was found that it was very necessary to expand the promotion of repair support business, come up with the criteria about repair support items and support amount, and establish the legal system to repair assistive technology devices. Therefore, in order to provide more effective and systematic repair service for assistive technology devices, it will be necessary to establish repairing process of assistive technology devices and standardization of costs that repair assistive technology devices.
This study was designed to find out the relations between the major investment decision-making behaviors and profitability of the hospital. A total of 57 hospitals were analyzed on this study. The major findings were as follows; 1. Among the types of the investment decision-making, major factors affecting the profitability were where the top management belongs among the defender, analyzer, prospector, and reactor type. Other factors were whether or not hospital analyzes which is more economical between the purchase by cash and lease of the medical equipment and whether or not hospital changes the decision before the actual investment. 2, Among the types of the investment decision-making, major factors affecting the financial structure and efficient operation of the assets were ranking of the priority and whether or not hospitals can get enough revenue and cash flow when hospitals have to borrow a big amount of fund from outside. 3. Among the financial indices regarding the financial stability, major factor affecting the profitability was fixed assets to long-tenn capital. Other factors affecting the financial structure and efficient operation of the assets were value added to medical equipment, normal profit to medical equipment, liability to total assets, current ratio, value added to payroll expenses. 4. Investment decision-making behaviors are partially influencing on the financial structure and efficient operation of the assets. However it was proved that the profitability was the most influencial factor than other factors related with the operation of the hospital. 5. To improve the irrational investment decision-making behaviors strategic management system should be introduced, and the top mamagement's investment decision-making style should be changed from reactor and analyser styles to prospector and reactor ones.
