${\cdot}$ 침맥 진단에 유용한 맥상 파라메터 및 대표맥상 분석 (Analysing of pulse wave parameter and typical pulse pattern for diagnosis in floating and sinking pulses)

  • Pulse feeling is one of the most important diagnosis method in Oriental medicine. But it is not easy to make an objective and standardized diagnosis. In this study, we found how to quantify diagnosis. Specially dally the high practicality in clinic, we search some parameters especially well-related to floating and sinking pulse by statistic analysis. By extension, we find the pulse patterns of the floating and sinking pulse. We choose 15 subjects diagnosed as floating pulse and 15 subjects diagnosed as sinking pulse by oriental doctors. And their pulse signals were acquired by Pulse analyzer which has piezoresistive pressure sensor. For the quantification of the floating and sinking pulse, at first, we examined the parameters which were highly correlated with oriental doctor's diagnosis. And then we derived pulse patterns of the floating-sinking pulse from preprocessed signal and its ensemble average. We also looked trend variation (PH-Curve) between contact and pulse pressure. As a result, statistically there is the biggest difference between contact pressure, the maximum pulse pressure, diastolic area (Ad) and floating and sinking data. Through the PH-Curve, which represented the relationship between contact and pulse pressure, we could divide the floating and sinking pulse clearly. As a basic research of pulse diagnosis algorithm, we can contribute to select essential parameters in diagnosis algorithm And using these diagnosis method, we expect to find typical pulse patterns and some useful parameters about other pulses like slow/rapid, large/fine pulse and so on. We hope that this study will contribute pulse objectification.

  • 압력을 증가시켜가며 맥파를 측정하여 맥파의 진동수와 푸리에 진폭이 가해준 압력에 따라 어떠한 양상을 보이는지 조사하였다. 맥파의 기본 진동수는 압력에 따른 변화를 거의 보이지 않았으며, 푸리에 진폭은 개인의 체질에 따라 몇 가지 유형으로 분류될 수 있음을 보였다. 이 유형들을 다시 푸리에 진폭이 최고점에 이를 때의 압력의 크기와 최고점에서의 상태를 유지할 수 있는 압력의 범위에 따라 맥상의 여러 형태와 연관지을 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 요골동맥의 운동에 대한 공간적 맥진파형 특징을 얻기 위해 2차원 배열 자기터널접합(magnetic tunnel junction; MTJ) 센서를 이용하여 공간 맥진파형 진단장치(spatial pulse diagnostic apparatus; SPDA)를 설계하였다. 자극배열의 위치변동에 대한자장 분포의 변화는 2차원 자기장 유한요소해석 소프트웨어(finite element method magnetics; FEMM)를 사용하여 모의실험을 하였다. 그 결과 평행한 자극배열에서 높은 감도와 균일한 자기장 분포를 얻을 수 있다. 또한 자석배열의 공간 변위 변화는 MTJ 센서의 출력신호 변화와 비례하였다.

회전기 고정자 권선의 부분방전 진단을 위한 평면 Patch Sensor 설계 (The Design of a patch Sensor for Partial Discharge diagnosis in Rotating Machine Stator Windings)

  • In 6.6kV Rotary Machine Stator Windings, Corona Discharge, Discharge at Conductor Surface, Slot Discharge and Endwinding Discharge is happended by electronic degradation. Also, if Partial Discharge cause in inner-part of Rotary Machine Stator Windings, it will be happended voltage and current pulse. In case of discharge spark, RF electromagnetic wave, which transmits at discharge position, can happen. To detect this kind of RF electromagnetic wave efficiently, we have designed Planar Antenna Sensor with the CST MWS simulation program. Also we have confined the application possibility, which can analyzes the partial discharge in Rotary Machine Stator Windings. In the Future, sample of planar antenna sensor will be able to compare with the data of simulation by CST MWS program.

FBG를 이용한 맥진 시스템 개발 (Development of the pulse analyzing system using FBG)

  • This work reports the pulse diagnosis system using FBG sensors which can display pulse signals detected while oriental medical doctors are conducting pulse diagnoses and simultaneously pressing the sensors by three fingers. Each optical fiber has five FBG sensing units fabricated in 2 mm width and 2 mm inter-sensor spacing. Three optical fibers with the FBG units in the parallel line configuration are then placed on each finger-pressing region and thus overall 9 fibers are used for the pulse measurements on the so-called "chon", "gwan", and "ch대k". A fixture holding the optical fiber arrays is able to adjust the height of the FBG sensing units while placing the fibers on the wrist. The pulse signals detected by the FBG sensors from chon, kwan, and chuk have been analyzed using 4 channel spectrum analyzer connected to the optical fibers. The measured pulse signals exhibit variations due to the nonuniform pressure distributions applied. resulting in the differences in the detected pulse signals between fiber lines. However. this work is the first step towards objective and quantitative analyses of the pulse diagnosis in oriental medicine which has traditionally been performed on subjective basis. Future works will be devoted to improving sensor stability, developing the way applying pressure and algorithms reporting the objective classification of the pulse status from systemic measurements using the sensors instead of relying on the clinicians' diagnoses subjectively performed. A successful pulse diagnosis system emerging in the future is expected to contribute to education as well as promoting pulse diagnosis in oriental medicine to the scientific research area.

압력맥파 및 광전용적맥파 검출용 일체형 센서의 구현 및 평가 (Implementation and evaluation of the sensor assessing pressure and photoplethysmogram)

  • Pulse sensors generally have characteristics that cause a analytical error by the interference of signals according to tiny motion of body and pressure applied to skin. To resolve this problem, we implemented the sensor that is capable of simultaneously measuring pressure and PPG(photoplethymogram) in a state attached to skin. Pressure and PPG was recorded at the finger and wrist respectively to evaluate the usefulness of the implemented sensor. Then, it was observed that the shape of PPG from sensor changed by pressure pushing down skin. Results of this study suggested that it is possible to monitor a degree of skin pressurization and to guarantee a reliable measurement by simultaneously measuring pressure and PPG using implemented integrated sensor when measuring PPG on the wrist or the finger.

수지부 감각정보에 중점을 둔 한의학적 전자 맥진 시스템에 대한 고찰 (Oriental Pulse Diagnostic Apparatus with an emphasis on sense on fingers)

  • 본 연구는 전통적인 수지(手指)를 이용한 진맥환경 하에서 객관성 있는 정량적 정보를 수집하기 위해 한의학 진단법에 입각한 맥상(脈象)과 병상(病象)진단을 위한 시스템을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 우선, 최적합한 진단정보를 취득하기 위한 진맥기로서 골무형태의 센서유닛을 제안하고, 이것을 인지, 중지, 약지에 장착하여 전통적인 방법으로 척관촌(尺關寸)점의 맥압파를 측정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 다음으로, 이 진맥기를 사용하여 한의 진단학에서 정의하고 있는 부침지삭허실(浮沈遲數虛實)맥으로 표현되는 육조맥(六祖脈)과 홍(洪), 유(濡), 혁(革), 산(散)맥 등을 포함하는 28맥을 객관적으로 인식할 수 있음을 해석적으로 밝혔다. 끝으로, 이 진맥기로서 측정한 압맥파로부터 맥상 진단에 기초가 되는 주요 파라미터를 추출하는 방법을 제시했다.

촬상소자를 이용한 맥동의 2차원 계측 (2-dimensional Measurement of Arterial Pulse by Imaging Devices)

  • Objectives: For the traditional pulse diagnosis in Oriental Medicine, not only the pulse shape in time domain, but the width, length and depth of arterial pulse also should be measured. However, conventional pulse diagnostic systems have failed to measure the spatial parameters of the arterial pulse e.g. effective length of arterial pulse in the wrist. In fact, there are many ways to measure that kind of spatial features in arterial pulsation, but among them, the method using image sensor provides relatively cheap and simple way, therefore I tested feasibility of measuring 2-dimensional pressure distribution by imaging devices. Methods: Using widely used PC cameras and dotted balloons, the subtle oscillation of skin over the radial artery was recorded continuously, and then the displacement of every dot was calculated. Consequently, the time course of that displacements shows arterial pulse wave. Results: By the proposed method I could get pressure distribution map with 30Hz sampling rate, 21steps quantization resolution, and approximately 1mm spatial resolution. With reduced quantization resolution, $3cm{\times}4cm$ view angle could be achieved. Conclusion: Although this method has some limitations, it would be useful method for detecting 2-dimensional features of arterial pulse, and accordingly, this method provides a novel way to detect 'narrow pulse', 'wide pulse', 'long pulse', 'short pulse', and their derivatives.

조합형 광섬유 트랜스듀서에 의한 요골맥파의 검출 (Detection of Radial Pulse by Combinational Fiber-optic Transducer)

  • 맥파신호는 심장과 심혈관계에 관련된 중요한 정보를 포함하고 있는 중요한 생체신호이다. 본 연구에서는 맥파신호를 비관혈적으로 검출하기 위해 기존의 기계적 변환방식의 개념에 근거하여 광섬유를 이용하는 맥파 검출용 트랜스듀서를 새로이 개발하여 사용하였다. 기계적 변환방식에서 발생될 수 있는 맥동전달 효율을 개선시키기 위해 본 연구에서는 맥동하는 피부와 접촉하여 센서에 전달하는 검출부(detecting part)와, 전달받은 변위운동을 광 출력 변화에 따른 전기 신호로 변환하는 감지부(sensing part)의 두 부분이 조합된 구조를 갖는 설계방식을 제안하였다. 우리는 이러한 조합형 구조의 설계방식을 이용한 결과로 기존의 트랜스듀서로 검출이 어려운 맥파의 C점(절흔)과 T파를 검출할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
