Optimal Design Methodology of Zero-Voltage-Switching Full-Bridge Pulse Width Modulated Converter for Server Power Supplies Based on Self-driven Synchronous Rectifier Performance

  • In this paper, high-efficiency design methodology of a zero-voltage-switching full-bridge (ZVS-FB) pulse width modulation (PWM) converter for server-computer power supply is discussed based on self-driven synchronous rectifier (SR) performance. The design approach focuses on rectifier conduction loss on the secondary side because of high output current application. Various-number parallel-connected SRs are evaluated to reduce high conduction loss. For this approach, the reliability of gate control signals produced from a self-driver is analyzed in detail to determine whether the converter achieves high efficiency. A laboratory prototype that operates at 80 kHz and rated 1 kW/12 V is built for various-number parallel combination of SRs to verify the proposed theoretical analysis and evaluations. Measurement results show that the best efficiency of the converter is 95.16%.

  • The major object of this study is to analyze and investigate experimentally the experimenal equation for the estimate of compressive strength of concrete. The results are as follows. The relation between maturity scaled logarithm and compressive strength of concrete can be expressed in liner equation which show an good correlation. And combined method using rebound number, pulse velocity and water cement ratio also show an excellent correlation. The equation by combined method is same as the conclusions.

팔요맥을 중심으로 살펴본 『동의보감』 27맥 속성 연구 (Properties of the Twenty-seven Pulses in DongUiBoGam Based on the Eight Important Pulses)

  • Objectives : Pulse diagnosis is considered particularly important among several methods of diagnosis in DongUiBoGam. In spite of its importance, numerous and various pulse descriptions made it difficult to learn and practice pulse diagnosis. In this article, we tried to analyze properties of the twenty-seven pulses from pulse diagnosis cases from DongUiBoGam to enable the practical understanding of pulse diagnosis. Methods : We constituted the four axis according to the eight important pulses. And we analyzed properties of the twenty-seven pulses through the relationship between the four pairs of important pulses and the twenty-seven pulses. To quantify the relevances of important pulses to the twenty-seven pulses, we used the term frequency-inverse document frequency(TF-IDF) method. Results : We could elicit properties of the twenty-seven pulses according to the four axis. Also, we reexamined the categorization of the seven exterior pulses / the eight interior pulses and the similar pulses from DongUiBoGam with the analysis results. Conclusions : We could understand properties of the twenty-seven pulses more specifically with the eight important pulses. And we also could see the relationship among the twenty-seven pulses on each axis. However, the limitation arising from insufficient number of pulse diagnosis cases in this research requires further research with more sources such as other traditional medical records or clinical records in the present time.

광용적맥파의 정량적 맥파형 분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quantitative Pulse Type Classification of the Photoplethysmography)

  • Over the past few years, a considerable number of methods have been proposed and applied for the classification of photoplethysmography (PPG). Most of the previous studies, however, focused on the qualitative description of the pulse type according to specific disease and thus provided ambiguous criteria to interpreters. In order to screen out this problem, we present a quantitative method for the pulse type classification including the second derivative of photoplethysmography (SDPTG). In the PPG signal, we have classified the signal as 4 types using the position and the presence of the dicrotic wave. In addition, we have categorized the SDPTG signal as 7 types using the position and the presence of "c" and "d" wave and the sign of "c" wave. In order to check the efficacy of the proposed pulse type classification rule, we collected pulse signals from 155 subjects with different ages and sex. From the correlation analysis, Class 1(p<0.01) and Class 2(p<0.01) in the PPG signal are significantly correlated with ages. In a similar manner Class A(p<0.01), Class C(p<0.05), Class D(p<0.01), and Class F(p<0.01) in the SDPTG signal are considerably correlated with the ages. From these observations, and some earlier ones [4], [5], we can conclude that since the newly proposed method has objectivity and clarity in pulse type classification, this method can be used as an alternative of previous classification rules including similar age-related characteristics.

  • 본 논문에서는 펄스 체이싱 스캔 방식을 이용한 바이스태틱 MTI 레이더 시스템에서 시스템 불안정 요인들을 식별하고 MTI 개선 성능에 미치는 영향에 대해 고찰하였다. 펄스 체이싱 스캔 방법은 송신 펄스 단위로 제한된 영역을 탐지하는 스캔 방법이며, MTI 필터는 작은 수의 펄스를 이용하여 클러터와 같은 간섭으로부터 표적을 분리할 수 있는 신호 처리 방법이다. 이상적인 MTI 신호 처리 과정은 클러터 자체의 특성에 의해서 클러터 감쇄 및 시스템 개선 성능이 제한되나, 제안된 바이스태틱 레이더 구조에서 MTI 성능은 펄스 체이싱 스캔 동안 수신빔 조향 오차에 의해 영향을 받을 수 있다. 또한, 바이스태틱 수신기에서 시간 동기 오차, COHO의 위상 오차 및 주파수/위상 동기 오차로부터 야기된 다른 시스템 불안정 요소들을 정의하고, 시스템 성능 개선에 미치는 영향들을 분석하였다.

빔 쉐이핑을 이용한 펨토초 레이저 ITO 박막 가공 깊이 제어에 대한 연구 (Study of ablation depth control of ITO thin film using a beam shaped femtosecond laser)

  • Indium tin oxide (ITO) is an important transparent conducting oxide (TCO). ITO films have been widely used as transparent electrodes in optoelectronic devices such as organic light-emitting devices (OLED) because of their high electrical conductivity and high transmission in the visible wavelength. Finding ways to control ITO micromachining depth is important role in the fabrication and assembly of display field. This study presented the depth control of ITO patterns on glass substrate using a femtosecond laser and slit. In the proposed approach, a gaussian beam was transformed into a quasi-flat top beam by slit. In addition, pattern of square type shaped by slit were fabricated on the surfaces of ITO films using femtosecond laser pulse irradiation, under 1030nm, single pulse. Using femtosecond laser and slit, we selectively controlled forming depth and removed the ITO thin films with thickness 145nm on glass substrates. In particular, we studied the effect of pulse number on the ablation of ITO. Clean removal of the ITO layer was observed when the 6 pulse number at $2.8TW/cm^2$. Furthermore, the morphologies and fabricated depth were characterized using a optical microscope, atomic force microscope (AFM), and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS).

FCC 신호 스펙트럼에 적합한 M-ary PPM UWB 시스템의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of M-ary PPM UWB Suitable to FCC Signal Spectrum)

  • UWB 임펄스 신호는 매우 짧은 펄스폭과 초광대역을 가지며 기존의 다른 시스템들과 같은 주파수 스펙트럼을 공유한다. FCC에서는 UWB 시스템이 GPS와 같은 타 시스템들과 간섭을 일으킬 수 있다는 가능성 때문에 UWB 시스템의 주파수 대역을 3.1㎓이상에서 사용하도록 제한하였다. 본 논문에서는 간섭을 제거하기 위해 시간적으로 엄격히 제한하고, 동시에 3.1㎓에서 10.6 ㎓의 주파수 대역에 신호 전력 분포가 포함되도록 참고문헌[1][2]에서 제안한 펄스를 이용하여 UWB 시스템의 성능을 평가하였다. 특히, 펄스 간격 $\delta$, 사용자 수 Nu, 심볼 수 M 등과 간은 시스템 파라메타들의 변화에 따른 BER 성능을 확인하였다. 참고문헌[1][2]에서 제안한 UWB 펄스를 이용하여 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 최적의 펄스간의 간격 $\delta$을 찾고, M-ary PPM과 BPSK를 적용한 UWB 시스템에서 이들 펄스와 가우시안 모노사이클 펄스를 이용한 시스템간의 성능을 평가하였다. 이들 결과는 다중사용자 파라메타와 펄스 간격에 따른 M-ary PPM UWB 통신 시스템을 구현하는데 기여할 수 있다.

스트리밍 처리에 의한 레이더 신호 특성 추출 (Feature Extraction of Radar Signals Using Streaming Process)

  • 전자전의 레이더 신호식별은 신호수신기가 생성한 PDW(Pule Description Word)를 분석해서 펄스반복 간격(PRI, Pulse Repetition Interval)을 인식하는 기술이다. 일반적으로 여러 개의 PDW를 수집해 한 번에 처리하는 배치처리 방식으로 PRI를 식별한다. 본 논문에서는 스트리밍 프로세스에 기초한 신호 특성 추출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이 기술은 신호수신기에서 PDW를 생성할 때마다 PDW 군집이 형성되는지 조사하고, 레이더 펄스의 도착시간 차이(difference of TOA(Time of Arrival)) 히스토그램을 만들고, 집중도를 기반으로 프레임 PRI를 구하고, 스태거 단계 수를 결정한다. 실험에 의하여 군집의 크기가 증가함에 따라 안정된 인식 결과를 도출한다는 것을 입증했다.

극초단파 레이저를 이용한 PI 필름 가공 기술개발 (Ultrashort pulse laser induced PI film scribing)

  • Ultra short pulse laser processing with the PI (polyimide) substrate is conducted to increase flexibility and radius of curvatures. A femtosecond laser is used to perform micro machining by minimizing the heat effect in PI substrate. The laser processing according to the parameters, such as fabricated line width, depth, laser power, distance between lines, is carried out to understand the characteristics of fabricated lines. A bending test is carried out to evaluate bending shapes and the radius of curvature after bending and spreading it 1000 times. The results demonstrates that the radius of curvature decreases in deepen lines and increases with the augment of the number of the fabricated lines, and distance between lines.

수직평판에 충돌하는 펄스파에 관한 실험적/수치해석적 연구 (Experimental and Computational Studies of the Pulse Wave Impinging upon a Vertical Flat Plate)

  • The impingement of a weak shock wane discharged from the open end of a shock tube upon a flat plate was investigated using shock tube experiments and numerical simulations. Harten-Yee Total Variation Diminishing method was used to solve axisymmetric, unsteady, compressible flow governing equations. Experiments were carried out to validate the present computations. The effects of the flat plate and baffle plate sizes on the impinging flow field over the flat plate were investigated. Shock Mach number was varied in the range from 1.05 to 1.20. The distance between the plate and shock tube was changed to investigate the effect on the peak pressure. From both the results of experiments and computations we obtained a good empirical equation to predict the peak pressure on the flat plate.
