In study 2, two research problems were examined using the data had been collected from 497 participants who were different from study I. Seceond, the moderate effect of contingencies of self-worth(CSW) on the relationship between perceived benefit-risk and risk-taking was examined. Using multi-group analysis, it found that virtue CSW moderated the relationship between perceived benefit-risk and total risk-taking, various CSWs moderated the relationships between perceived benefit-risk and 6 sub domains of risk-taking. These results were compared with previous studies of risk-taking and discussed the relevance of the narcissistic type.

Second, full life was positively influenced by character strength in early adulthood. Third, volunteering had fully mediated from character strength to full life in post middle aged adults, but had partially mediated in early adulthood. This will help acquaint us with importance of accompany with volunteering at character strength than character strength directly connects to full life. Based on these results, we are treated on importance of mediating volunteering effects and influences of character strengths on full life in Korean society.

The data of these variables were collected by questionnaire method based on face-to-face interview. The results can be summarized as followings. Second, all the sub-factors in the driving-based mobility questionnaire were positively related to life satisfaction, positive affect but negatively related to negative affect except amount of driving. Finally, it was found that both confidence for adaptation in driving situation and amount of social activity positively mediated the relationship between self-report safe driving behavior and life satisfaction and positive affect, but confidence for adaptation in driving situation negatively mediated the relationship between self-report safe driving behavior and negative affect, Implication and suggestion were discussed.

  • Social class has become a major focus of research in the field of Western psychology due to its critical impact on human life. The Korean scholarship in psychology, however, has paid very little attention to the issue of social class despite the deepening of social stratification in the country; and the concepts and measurement they used were typically borrowed from sociology. In this study, I discussed what social class means and how it should be measured in order to emphasize the importance of the concept and its related issues. To this end, I examined a variety of theoretical backgrounds on the measurement of social class and the concept of socioeconomic status (SES)-a term commonly used as a synonym for social class. This study divided the method of measuring social class into objective social class and subjective social class, and outlined the characteristics of each approach and their main indicators. Finally, I assessed the recent trend in the Korean psychology on social class measurement. Among the 23 studies I have found, 65.2% used the objective social class index; and education was the objective indicator they most frequently employed, followed by income and occupation. Social stratification identity was used in all seven studies that applied subjective social class. And seven different words to describe social class was found. Based on these results, I concluded that there should be a call for more direct research on social class variables. In addition, I suggest that 'social class', instead of socioeconomic status, should be used as a preferred term in the future studies and propose a few notes on how to use the objective indicators and subjective social class measurement.

  • This study tried to identify the psychological mechanisms that middle and high school students can adaptively solve various problems, and to identify differences according to gender and school level. To this end, the growth mindset was set as an independent variable predicting the problem-solving ability of middle and high school students, and ego-resilience and emotional intelligence were set as the mediating variables. As for the research data, responses of 94 middle school students(40 males, 54 females) and 134 high school students(63 males, 71 females) who participated through mobile and off-line were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results are as follows. First, differences according to gender and school level were significant only in emotional intelligence. Second, ego-resilience and emotional intelligence mediated the relationship between growth mindset and problem-solving ability respectively. Third, the dual mediation effect of ego-resilience and emotional intelligence was significant in the relationship between growth mindset and problem-solving ability. Based on these results, theoretical and practical discussions and implications for improving problem-solving ability of middle and high school students are presented.

  • As forest fires' scale has increased, they have become disasters that destroy not only forests but also property, human psychological balance, and even human lives. As a result, governmental support has become a crucial part of the forest fire restoration process. Quickly restoring victims' quality of life (QOL) from not only an ecological perspective but also from their human perspective has become an important goal. Therefore, through structural equation modeling, this study analyzed effects of government support, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and resilience on 195 Uljin and Samcheok forest fire victims' QOL. In the final research model, the total standardized effect on QOL of government support to PTSD and resilience was found to have significant effect (0.417). By path, the effect of government support on QOL through resilience was verified as 0.172. Examination of the path between latent variables revealed that resilience had the greatest influence on QOL, and government support had a significant effect, thus confirming that they were the main factors affecting QOL.

To study the method, 208 athletes enrolled in a four-year university (0 university, 0 university) located in A City, Hanam Province, were surveyed for a total of three weeks from the end of January to the beginning of February 2023. To verify the research model, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted using SPSS Statistics 25. And independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted to find out the differences in variables according to general characteristics, and multiple regression analysis was conducted to verify hypotheses through the concept of measurement. As a result of the study, first, it was found that there was a significant difference in the athletic career of tennis athletes at West China University. Second, the non-standardized coefficient of competition anxiety was found to have a positive (+) effect on exercise weaponry. Third, the non-standardized coefficient of competition anxiety was found to have a positive (+) effect on anxiety and anxiety. Therefore, it was found that other competitive anxiety in the exercise career had an effect on injury psychology. Since competition anxiety according to the athletic career of tennis athletes at Chinese universities affects injury psychology, it suggests that a psychological program that can control competition anxiety and injury psychology of athletes should be developed and introduced to athletes.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to establish scientific evidence though a systematic review, of the existing interventional methods and their respective effects, for swallowing disorders among dementia patients. The interventional methods were based on patient characteristics. Methods : An electronic literature search was performed using five electronic databases from 2010 to 2020. The keywords were 'Dementia', 'Alzheimer disease', 'Deglutition disorder', 'Swallowing disorder', 'Dysphagia'. Five articles met the inclusion criteria. Results : One study with moderate-to-severe and four studies with severe dementia patients were included. The interventions consisted of one remedial intervention, three compensatory interventions, and one comprehensive intervention. Compensatory intervention, including behavioral and psychological management, were used in moderate-to-severe patients. For the severe patients, remedial, compensatory, and comprehensive intervention were used to address the feeding tube problem. The interventions used in each study had a positive effect on the outcome variables associated with swallowing ability. Conclusion : The purpose of the intervention and the intervention factors changed depending on the patient's dementia stage. The intervention was effective when considering the progressive stage of the patient. These results may serve as a guide in designing effective interventions for swallowing disorders in dementia patients.

Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed the most powerful predictor of health related quality of life was depression. While age, level of education and quality of sleep were also found as significant predictor variables. Based on these results, it is necessary to perform more studies on health related quality of life and related factors according to that in various settings. Especially, to develop a program intended to improve the health related quality of life of the elderly at home, we need to consider not only physical factors but also psychological factors.
