This clinical treatment approached by using 3 steps. In Step 1 7 patients with psoriasis were classified based on the severity of the disease and the types of psoriasis. Step 2, Proper treatment was applied to patients in accordance with typical types of symptoms and types of diagnosis in Oriental Medicine. In step 3, all the process of the treatment was recorded with pictures and the patients' signs of self-consciousness from initial treatment to final treatment determined the result. As a result of the treatment, it showed that prescription of Gamisoyosan applied to pustular psoriasis on the palms, pustular psoriasis on the sole of feet and geographic psoriasis on the whole bodies worked effectively and prescription for psoriasis No.1 applied to nummular psoriasis and prescription for psoriasis No.2. applied to nummular psoriasis made progress for the patients. Side effects and any other abnormal symptoms were not found. In conclusion, therefore, it is anticipated that selected treatment and prescription should be given according to types of diagnosis in Oriental Medicine referring the types of psoriasis. It is considered that more attention, deep and thorough study in mechanism of pathogenesis mechanism of treatment according to the types of psoriasis may make it possible for doctors to treat and prescribe patients.

This study aimed to evaluate if patients under biologics have a lower risk of psoriasis flares after coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination than other psoriatic patients. Of 322 recently vaccinated patients admitted for psoriasis at the Dermatological Psoriasis Unit during January and February 2022, 316 (98%) had no psoriasis flares after COVID-19 vaccination (79% under biologic treatment, 21% not biologically treated) and 6 (2%) presented psoriasis flares after COVID-19 vaccination (33.3% under biologic treatment, 66.6% not biologically treated). Overall, psoriasis patients under biologic treatment, developed fewer psoriasis flares after COVID-19 vaccination (33.3%), than patients not under biologic treatment (66.6%) (p=0.0207; Fisher's exact test).

Psoriasis is a common inflammatory disease of the skin marked by excessive scaling associated with inflammation, affecting 1-2% of the population. Although their etiologies remain unknown, the finding of CD4+ and CD8+ lymphocytes at sites of psoriasis has led many reports to hypothesize that psoriasis is a T lymphocyte-mediated disease directed against unknown autoantigens. The oriental medicine understands the cause of psoriasis as low humidity of skin tissues and functional deteriorations of the liver and lung. Gami-Yunbueum (GY) is a mixture of two previous prescription, which were used to the protection of liver and lung. We had prescribed the GY to the three psoriasis patients for 11 weeks and examined the effectiveness of the GY by PASI (Psoriasis Area and Severity Index) score. In our experiment, GY improved the symptoms of psoriasis in all cases. These results indicated that GY can apply to the treatment of psoriasis. Furthermore, the process for treatment of psoriasis is possible to provide humidity to skin and control the functions of liver and lung.

There are few reports about the beliefs of psoriasis patients related to their disorder and therapy modalities except for the medical ones. We aimed to investigate the beliefs of psoriasis patients about their disorders, where they had attended therapies unrelated to dermatologists and what modality of unconventional therapies they used for psoriasis in Turkey. The study was performed on 141 psoriasis patients. The age, sex, education status and the number of visits to the dermatology clinics were recorded. How the patients decided to visit the dermatology clinic (themselves, directed by others), where they attended for treatment of psoriasis outside of the dermatologist, what they think about the causes of their disease and what they used for treatment of psoriasis were asked. The mean age of the patients was $33.44{\pm}15.13$ years. The patients whose ages were over 30 years significantly more went to dermatology clinics. 68.1% of the patients attended the dermatology clinic based on the individual decision, 18.4% were directed by family members and 5.7% by friends. 45.4% of the patients believed that stress was the cause of their disease. 54.6% of the patients had used at least one type of unconventional therapy for psoriasis. The most frequently used unconventional therapy forms were herbal (24.1%) and spiritual therapies (22%). One conclusion is psoriasis patients need education about their diseases. Dermatologists should have information about the tendencies of the patients and approach the patients with sensitivity and empathy and give objective knowledge about psoriasis.
