  • In this paper we define $AP_c$ and $AP_{cc}$ spaces which are stronger than the property of approximation by points(AP). We investigate operations on their subspaces and study function theorems on $AP_c$ and $AP_{cc}$ spaces. Using those results, we prove that every continuous image of a countably compact Hausdorff space with AP is AP. Finally, we prove a theorem that every compact ${\kappa}$-WAP space is ${\kappa}$-pseudoradial, and prove a theorem that the product of a compact ${\kappa}$-radial space and a compact ${\kappa}$-WAP space is a ${\kappa}$-WAP space.

  • RFM is the sensor model of IKONOS imagery for end-users. IKONOS imagery vendors provide RPC (Rational Polynomial Coefficients), Ration Function Model coefficients for IKONOS, for end-users with imagery. So it is possible that end-users obtain geospatial information in their IKONOS imagery without additional any effort. But there are requirements still fur rigorous 3D positions on RPC user. Provided RPC can not satisfy user and company to generate precision 3D terrain model. In IKONOS imagery, physical sensor modeling is difficult because IKONOS vendors do not provide satellite ephemeris data and abstract sensor modeling requires many GCP well distributed in the whole image as well as other satellite imagery. Therefore RPC modification is better choice. If a few GCP are available, RPC can be modified by method which is introduced in this paper. Study on evaluation modified RPC in IKONOS reports reasonable result. Pseudo GCP generated with vendor's RPC and additional GCP make it possible through sequential solution.

  • A Solitary plasmacytoma of bone[SPB] is a rare disease. This paper reports a case of SPB with massive aggregation of histiocytes known as pseudo-Gaucher cells. A 40-year-old male presented with progressive paraparesis and paraesthesia. The Magnetic Resornance Image[MRI] revealed a tumor mass in the thoracic spine that occupied the three colum. The tumor invaded the epidural space of T6 vertebra with compression of the spinal cord. There were no laboratory abnormalities. It was gross totally resected and his neurological symptoms improved. The microscopic examination revealed a plasmacytoma with massive aggregation of histiocytes. Futher neuroradiological studies were carried out and no other lesions were detected.

  • The structure change in the broiler industry of Korea has been taking place very rapidly toward the direction of integrated production and marketing system. During the course of the evolution into the integrated structure, however, a number of small business entities, uncountable nationally but a minimum of a dozen, that previously engaged in the supply of production factors or live bird transaction also tended to get involved in the new system as a disguised or pseudo-integrator, having brought a lot of problems not only to the farmers but also to the development of integrated structure. The pseudo-integrator is generally characterized by limited functions in such a way of supplying chicks and feeds to and collecting grown birds from farmers under the contract at a fixed farmer's payment in practically the same pattern as a partial or quasi-integration, which intends to act as if an integrator in a stratagem to simply enjoy a margin simply from selling supplies and buying products for a certain period of time. The grower making a contract with appears to be a farmer who used to be an Independent and speculating but not able to join in the normal system of evolving integration. The problems of a pseudo-integrator center on the financial loss to a contract farmer, because the falsified integrator has to become easily bankrupt and run away when the price of live broiler continually stays below the cost of production, even though he is able to make a tremendous profit otherwise which is the real purpose of the operation for. It is true that the volatile market, fluctuating the price up more than doubled in a month and down to a half in a few weeks, makes the pseudo-integrator find the room for such a fraudulence. In addition, its activity also adversely affect the evolution of the integration due to rather negative image on structure change in general. It is recommended that the farmers need to better understand the real picture of the integrated system so as not to be swindled by a disguised, small scale agribusiness agent. By the same token, it is also equally required to have the whole industry integrated completely as early as possible. The Joint effort to get rid of pseudo-integrators' problems shall be put for the industry development moving toward the integration. No doubt a pseudo-integrator must be a temporary player for chance emerging during the course of structure change into the integrated, though.

  • General watermarking techniques tend not to consider intrinsic characteristics of image, so that watermarks are embeded to entire images. In this paper, we present a watermarking algorithm based on wavelet domain, and the watermark is embedded into large coefficients in region of interest(ROI) being based on principle of multi-threshold watermark coding(MTWC) for robust watermark insertion. We try to accomplish both image duality and robustness using human visual system(HVS). The watermarks are embedded in middle frequency bands because the distortion degree of watermarked images appears to be less than lower frequency bands, and the embedded watermarks in the middle bands showed high extraction ratios after some distortion. The watermarks are consisted of pseudo random sequences and detected using Cox's similarity mesurement.

  • Semi-supervised learning (SSL) is an effective approach to training models using a small amount of labeled data and a larger amount of unlabeled data. However, many papers in the field use a fixed threshold when applying pseudo-labels without considering the feature-wise differences among images of different classes. In this paper, we propose a SSL method for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image classification that applies different thresholds for each class instead of using a single fixed threshold for all classes. We propose a threshold learning module into the model, considering the differences in feature distributions among classes, to dynamically learn thresholds for each class. We compare the application of a SSL SAR image classification method using different thresholds and examined the advantages of employing class-specific thresholds.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new LUT based watermarking method for a halftone image. Watermark bits are hidden at pseudo-random locations of halftone image in the proposed method. The pixel values of the halftone image are determined from the LUT entry indexed by both the neighborhood halftone pixels and current grayscale value. The LUT is trained by a set of grayscale images and corresponding halftone images. Advantage of the LUT method is that it can be executed very fast compared with other watermarking methods for a halftone image. Therefore, the algorithm can be embedded in a printer. Experiments for real scanned images showed that the method is a feasible method to hide the large amount of data within a halftone image without noticeable distortion and comparing to the DHED method, is almost same in quality but significantly shorten in processing time.

  • Recently, deep-learning based methods for low-light image enhancement accomplish great success through supervised learning. However, they still suffer from the lack of sufficient training data due to difficulty of obtaining a large amount of low-/normal-light image pairs in real environments. In this paper, we propose an unsupervised learning approach for single low-light image enhancement using the bright channel prior (BCP), which gives the constraint that the brightest pixel in a small patch is likely to be close to 1. With this prior, pseudo ground-truth is first generated to establish an unsupervised loss function. The proposed enhancement network is then trained using the proposed unsupervised loss function. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt that performs a low-light image enhancement through unsupervised learning. In addition, we introduce a self-attention map for preserving image details and naturalness in the enhanced result. We validate the proposed method on various public datasets, demonstrating that our method achieves competitive performance over state-of-the-arts.

  • The application of compressive sensing (CS) to a radar imaging system based on a frequency-scanned microstrip leaky wave antenna is investigated. First, an analytical model of the system matrix is formulated as the basis for the inversion algorithm. Then, $L_1-norm$ minimization is applied to the inverse problem to generate a range-azimuth image of the scene. Because of the antenna length, the near-field effect is considered in the CS formulation to properly image close-in targets. The resolving capability of the combined frequency-scanned antenna and CS processing is examined and compared to results based on the short-time Fourier transform and the pseudo-inverse. Both simulation and measurement data are tested to show the system performance in terms of image resolution.

  • Defect region segmentation of TFT-LCD images is performed by combining defect pixels detected by a defect detection method into defect region, or by using morphological operations to segment defect region. Therefore, the result of segmentation of the defect region is highly dependent on the defect detection result. In this paper, we propose a method which segments defect regions sequentially according to the possibility of being included in defect regions in TFT-LCD images. The proposed method repeats the process of detecting a seed using the median value and the median absolute deviation of the image, and segments the defect region using the seeded region growing method. We confirmed the superiority of the proposed method to segment defect regions using pseudo-images and real TFT-LCD images.
