  • In recent years, the hub and spoke strategy has been strengthened in accordance with the enlargement of ships. As the needs of the port users change, the ports are also becoming larger and modernized. Under these circumstances, changes in existing port operations are expected. One example is the movement to promote economic and operational effectiveness through the joint operation of small and medium-sized operators. This study analyzed the effect of the association of small and medium-sized operators on Busan New Port in terms of economy. Additionally, the issue of cost allocation within the association of operators was presented through the game theory. As a result, in the case of operating jointly rather than divided into five operating companies as of the present, it has been shown to have a cost reduction effect in terms of operating companies. Considering the use of the Proportional method, the Shapley Value, and the Nucleus method in allocating the costs among the operators participating in the coalition, the Shapley Value method was the most suitable method in this study.

  • The channel scheduler is suggested the radio resource management method in order to provide service with guaranteeing fairness and throughput to the users who use limited wireless channel. Proportional fairness scheduling algorithm is the channel scheduler used in the AMC(Adaptive Modulation and Coding)/TDM system, and this algorithm increases the throughput considering the user's time fairness. In this paper is suggested the channel scheduler combining CDM scheme available in AMC/TDM/CDM system. Unlike the system which only uses TDM which provide the only one user at the same slot, this scheduler can service a lot of users since this uses the CDM scheme with multi-cord channel. At every moment, allocation of transmission power to multi-channel users is problematic because of CDM scheme. In this paper, we propose a water-filling scheduling algorithm to solve the problem. Water-filling fairness(WF2) scheduling algorithm watches the average channel environment. So, this modified method guarantees fairness for each user in terms of power and service time.

  • Realistic and graphics-based virtual reality content is based on 360-degree videos, and viewport extraction through the viewer's intention or automatic recommendation function is essential. This paper designs a viewport extraction system based on multiple object tracking in 360-degree videos and proposes a parallel computing structure necessary for multiple viewport extraction. The viewport extraction process in 360-degree videos is parallelized by composing pixel-wise threads, through 3D spherical surface coordinate transformation from ERP coordinates and 2D coordinate transformation of 3D spherical surface coordinates within the viewport. The proposed structure evaluated the computation time for up to 30 viewport extraction processes in aerial 360-degree video sequences and confirmed up to 5240 times acceleration compared to the CPU-based computation time proportional to the number of viewports. When using high-speed I/O or memory buffers that can reduce ERP frame I/O time, viewport extraction time can be further accelerated by 7.82 times. The proposed parallelized viewport extraction structure can be applied to simultaneous multi-access services for 360-degree videos or virtual reality contents and video summarization services for individual users.

  • This research presents an analysis of algorithm for ship track-keeping along a given trajectory. The maneuver of a free running model ship guiding through a simple path are presented. In order to solve the above problem, a desired trajectory is usually determined by GPS points in a pre-fixed place then these points are set in a pre-programmed navigation so that the ship would be automatically tracked. Proportional-Derivative(PD) control which is useful for fast response controllers was used in this program as a course keeping system. A high accuracy GPS receiver was installed on the model ship that could provide positions frequently, the system will compare and give out the remaining distance and heading to the target way-point. The results of ship auto track-keeping experiment will be explained in order to illustrate the adjustment in controlling parameters. These results can be utilized as a preliminary step to carry out the experiment of ship collision avoidance system and automatic berthing in the future.

  • In this paper, the guidance laws and controllers for the gliding guided artillery munition is studied. The gliding guided artillery munition has wings for gliding to increase a range; therefore previous guidance laws and controllers for the guided munition could not be applied. Concepts of vector field guidance and proportional navigation guidance are applied for mid-term and terminal guidance, respectively. The gliding guided artillery munition is operated within wide altitude and speed areas; therefore, the controllers are designed for each area, and gain-scheduling and the linear interpolation technique is applied to compute the appropriate gains.

  • We designed a target management integration system that enables us to select the final target manually or automatically from seeker's sensor image. The integrated system was developed separately for the air vehicle system and the ground system. The air vehicle system simulates the motion dynamics and the sensor image of the air vehicle, and the ground system is composed of the target template image module and the ground control center module. The flight maneuver of the air vehicle is based on pseudo 6-degree of freedom motion equation and the proportional navigation guidance. The sensor image module was developed using the known infrared(IR) image rendering method, and was verified by comparing the rendered image to that of a commercial software. The ground control center module includes an user interface that can display as much information to meet user needs. Finally, we verified the integrated system with simulated impact target mission of the air vehicle, by confirming the final target change and the shot down result of the user's intervention.

  • This paper proposes a new guidance law, which considers the Field of View (FOV) of the seeker when a missile has a strapdown seeker mounted instead of a gimbal seeker. When a strapdown seeker, which has a narrow FOV, is used for tracking a target, the FOV of the seeker is an important consideration for guidance performance metrics such as miss distance. We propose a new guidance law called hybrid guidance (HG) to address the shortcomings of conventional guidance laws such as proportional navigation guidance (PNG), which cannot maintain lock-on conditions against high speed targets due to the narrow FOV of the strapdown seeker. The aim of the HG law is to null miss distance and to maintain the look angle within the FOV of the strapdown seeker. In order to achieve this goal, we combine two guidance laws in the HG law. One is a PNG law to null the LOS rate, and the other is a sliding mode guidance (SMG) law derived to keep the look angle within the FOV by employing a Lyapunov-like function with a sliding mode control methodology. We also propose a method to switch these two guidance laws at certain look angles for better guidance performance.

  • In this paper, in order to analyze the performance of a decoy system for ship defense against an anti-ship missile(ASM) with an infrared image(IIR) seeker, the modeling and engagement simulation program is introduced. The IIR seeker on the ASM detects the infrared signal of ship from a distance and approaches the ship based on proportional navigation guidance(PNG) or impact angle control guidance(IACG). Hence the guidance performance of the ASM is basically depend on the target tracking algorithm of the seeker as well as the infrared signal of the ship. Using the developed program, we can investigate the effect of the ship decoy system such as flares and surface cooling system of the ship with respect to various kinds of tracking algorithms of the IIR seeker of the ASM.

  • This paper proposes a new guidance law for increasing the lethality of munitions. The well known PNG (Proportional Navigation Guidance) is inadequate for the munitions because of some weaknesses. Even if the munition does not have the impact point error, the acceleration command is non zero because the line-of-sight changes at all times in flight. Therefore, we use a difference between a target and an impact point. This proposed guidance law is similar to PNG in the form, but this guidance law concentrates a correction rate of flight path angle instead of the LOS (Line of Sight) rate. The correction of flight path angle is defined as the amount of impact point error. This impact point error can be calculated by neural networks rapidly. Finally, we show that the simulation results prove the suitability of this law.

  • A missile with a strapdown seeker should properly estimate line-of-sight(LOS) rate using its attitude information and the look angle of the seeker because LOS rate information in an inertial coordinate system, which is used for a proportional navigation(PN) homing guidance, can not be obtained directly. However, an unnecessary feedback loop(Parasite Loop) is formed in the guidance and control loop, and it may cause the guidance performance degradation or even the unstability of the system(Parasite Effect). This paper presents estimation methods for the LOS rate information and effective ways to minimize the parasite effect using Routh-Hurwitz stability criterion. Various numerical simulations are also included to verify the proposed methods.
