Young Adult Street Vendors and Adverse Respiratory Health Outcomes in Bangkok, Thailand

  • Air pollutants of concern include traffic-related air pollution, including particulate matter in respirable coarse and fine size fractions. There are no critical studies to date into associations between knowledge, awareness, and attitudes in using proper respiratory masks and prevalence of respiratory symptoms among urban street vendors in Thailand. In this study, we estimated adverse respiratory health outcomes among street vendors, in particular young adults, in Bangkok, Thailand, using a self-report questionnaire. Street vendors, who were not currently smoking and not having known diagnosed respiratory diseases, were recruited. They were selected from selected roadsides at Chong Nonsi, Bangkok. Participants (n = 30) reported having lower respiratory (50%), upper respiratory (37%), and other symptoms (70%). Also, 53% of participants had never used respiratory personal protective equipment (PPE: masks). Among those using PPE, all used masks not proper for particulate matter. Results suggested knowledge, awareness, and attitudes concerning proper PPE use needs to be increased among street vendors in Bangkok, Thailand.

창의교육활성화를 위한 이공계융합교육모델 연구 (A Study on Natural Sciences and Engineering's Convergence Education Model for Cultivating Creative Capability)

  • This paper deals with the model of natural sciences and engineering's convergence education. Recently, convergence education's necessary is needed since the most of new products are designed and produced based on the convergence technology. But our country's education system is keeping existing education process. This make industrial world undurable to employ the current graduated students. Also in view of educational world, they have no proper convergence education model for their students. In this paper, to solve the non-existing convergence education model, we derive the a few convergence education model and list up their model each. This result will be helpful for the introducer of the convergence education system.

앱 인벤터를 활용한 초·중등 프로그래밍 교육 방안 (Elementary and Secondary Programming Education Plan Using App Inventor)

  • 앱 인벤터는 프로그래밍의 결과물이 실제 기기에서 동작한다는 장점 때문에 프로그래밍 교육 도구로 사용되고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 초 중등 교육에서 앱 인벤터의 프로그래밍 교육 활용에 대한 장점과 단점에 대한 연구가 부족하고, 효과적인 교육 방안에 대한 논의가 활발히 이루어지고 있지 않다. 본 연구는 효과적인 초 중등 앱 인벤터 교육 방안을 마련하기 위하여 앱 인벤터를 학습한 교사와 학생의 반응을 분석하여 앱 인벤터 교육 방안 설계시에 고려해야 할 내용을 도출하였다. 연구 결과 프로그래밍 교육 도구로서 앱 인벤터는 실제적인 경험을 주고, 학습자가 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 장점이 있었다. 학습자가 앱 인벤터 학습을 위한 사전 지식이 필요하다는 점과 기기를 사용하는 방법을 적절히 계획해야 한다는 점이 단점으로 꼽혔다. 이러한 앱 인벤터의 장점과 단점을 고려하여 초 중등 학습자에게 앱 인벤터를 활용한 프로그래밍 교육 방안을 제시하였다.

성인 소비자 대상 Focus Group Interview를 반영한 식물성 대체우유의 바른 이용을 위한 카드뉴스 교육자료 개발 (Development of Card News as an Educational Material for the Proper Use of Plant-Based Milk Alternatives Reflecting Adult Consumption Characteristics through Focus Group Interview)

  • 본 연구는 우유, 두유, 기타 식물성 대체우유에 대한 객관적 이해를 바탕으로 식물성 대체우유를 바르게 이용하도록 돕기 위한 교육자료로써 카드뉴스를 개발하였다. FGI 대상자는 우유, 두유, 기타 식물성 대체우유 중 한 가지라도 최근 3개월 이내에 직접 구입하여 한 달에 한 번 이상 섭취한 사람이며 이들 중 두 가지 이상 섭취한 경우에는 섭취 빈도가 높은 것에 배정하였다. 이 기준에 맞는 19~65세 미만 남녀 17명(남자 9명과 여자 8명)을 편의추출법으로 선정하여 대상자를 구성하였다. 면담은 연령대별로 나누어 연구자가 대면이나 ZOOM으로 가이드라인에 따라 진행하였다. FGI를 통해 식물성 대체우유에 대해 대상자가 궁금해하거나 바른 소비를 위해 알아야 하는 정보를 선정하였다. 선정된 정보를 중심으로 쉽고 간결하게 콘텐츠를 구성한 후 식물성 대체우유의 주 소비자인 MZ 세대의 감각에 맞춰 디자인하여 온라인에서도 활용할 수 있는 10 페이지 분량의 카드뉴스를 완성하였다. 카드뉴스 콘텐츠 제작 시 최신 학술 동향을 담도록 하였으며 카드뉴스 시안에 대하여 전문가 자문 및 잠재 소비자 검토를 받아 수정과정을 거쳤다. 이상에서 본 연구를 통해 식물성 대체우유에 관한 카드뉴스 형식의 교육자료를 개발하였으며, 앞으로도 빠르게 변화하고 있는 식품 소비 트렌드를 반영한 교육자료 개발과 공급이 활성화되고 가정 교과 및 학교 밖 식생활교육에서도 관련 연구와 적용에 발맞춰나가야 할 것으로 생각된다.

환경교육과 신입생의 입학 동기 및 환경에 대한 인식 변화 - 한국교원대학교 신입생을 대상으로 - (Matriculation Motive and Environmental Awareness of Freshman in Environmental Education Department)

  • The purpose of this research is to study motivation of freshmen in Environmental Education Department for choosing their major, and their environmental awareness in overall. The subject for this research is twenty freshmen, majoring Environmental Education at Korea National University of Education in 2007, and methods of the research include survey through questionnaires, reviewing literature of the field, and conference with experts in Environmental Education. After the research, six freshmen's motivation for choosing Environmental Education as their major changed positively. Awareness of the environment in residential area changed somewhat negatively, while awareness of the nation's overall environment changed positively. Subjects' recognition for the need of Environmental Education was generally negative in both the first and second surveys whereas that of sustainable society changed more remarkably throughout the surveys. Most subject thought that the most important issue Environmental teachers should teach is proper attitudes towards and reasonable actions for the environment.

Some Characterizations of Modules via Essentially Small Submodules

  • In this paper, the structure of e-local modules and classes of modules via essentially small are investigated. We show that the following conditions are equivalent for a module M: (1) M is e-local; (2) $Rad_e(M)$ is a maximal submodule of M and every proper essential submodule of M is contained in a maximal submodule; (3) M has a unique essential maximal submodule and every proper essential submodule of M is contained in a maximal submodule.

인문사회의학 교육의 두 목표: 좋은 의사, 행복한 의사 (Two Aims of Medical Humanities Education: Good Doctors and Happy Doctors)

  • Recently, medical humanities education has begun to take up an increased proportion of the Korean medical curriculum. Many people now agree that not only basic medicine and clinical medicine but also medical humanities is needed in medical education. The aims of medical humanities education should dawn now. 'Medical humanities' can be roughly defined as "the interdisciplinary study and activity at the intersection of the humanities, social science, arts, and medicine." People tend to assume that the aim of medical humanities education is to produce good doctors, that is, physicians who contribute to society. Actually, cultivating good doctors is one of the proper aims of medical humanities education. In addition to it, another aim of medical humanities education should be cultivating happy doctors. Nowadays, many of Korea's physicians feel unhappy. In such a situation, medical humanities education should be aimed at developing happiness in medical trainees.

수학 영재교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 조사 연구 (A Survey for the Development of Mathematical Gifted Education Program)

  • This survey is to know the present situation and effective alternatives of mathematics gifted education program for the 5-8 grade students in Korea. This is aiming at finding effective ideas useful to the definition of the gifted, the development of the methods and tools for identification, the proper organization of program and urgent issues. The number of collected questionnaire available by mailing is 92; 21 specialists, 24 experienced teachers and 47 scholars who are concerned with the education for the gifted.   • A bounded linear Hilbert space operator T is said to be k-quasi-class A operator if it satisfy the operator inequality $T^{*k}{\mid}T^2{\mid}T^k{\geq}T^{*k}{\mid}T{\mid}^2T^k$ for a non-negative integer k. It is proved that if T is a k-quasi-class A contraction, then either T has a nontrivial invariant subspace or T is a proper contraction and the nonnegative operator $D=T^{*k}({\mid}T^2{\mid}-{\mid}T{\mid}^2)T^k$ is strongly stable.

지구과학교육에서 소형 천체망원경을 활용하는 방법 (A Method of Utilizing Small Astronomical Telescopes in Earth Science Instruction)

  • Four observational astronomical item, have been pilottested with a 150mm refracting telescope in order to layout the detailed procedures for the suggested (inquiry) activities listed in the high school earth science curriculum and to contrive some adequate instructions for students stressed on how to make proper treatments with the collected materials. The tested items were of sunspots' motion, the size of lunar craters, the Galilian satellites' revolution, and the galactic distribution of stars. Following series of activities are suggested with respect to the way of collecting observational data and of giving proper instruction to students in class: 1) Photography and other material, he made by teacher and/or extracurricular group of students; 2) Replicas (xeroxed, photographs, Or slides) he made from the collected materials, '0 that they are available to all the students in class; 3) Quantative analyses, be taken as student' activity.
