후향적연구의 집단 간 동등성확보를 통한 임상자료분석 (Clinical data analysis in retrospective study through equality adjustment between groups)

  • 두 집단간을 비교하는 다양한 임상연구에서 수집된 데이터를 분석할 때 질환에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 방법으로는 현 시점에서 어떤 특정 질환을 일으킬 수 있는 위험요인포함 우, 무에 띠라 연구대상자를 나누어, 추적 관찰하는 전향적 임상연구에서의 분석과 현 시점에서 질환 유, 무에 따라 위험요인을 과거의 연구대상자의 관찰기록을 바탕으로 확인하는 후향적 임상연구에서의 분석이 있다. 접근 방법과 연구 설계는 다르지만 두 가지 연구의 목적은 두 집단 간 명확한 차이를 확인하는데 있으며, 나아가 두집단의 분류에 영향을 주는 변수가 무엇인지를 알아보는 방법이다. 특히 임상연구에서 두 집단을 비교할 때 성별과 나이와 같은 기본적 특성변수의 영향을 통제한 상태에서 임상적 변수들의 집단 간 차이와 영향을 살펴보아야 한다. 하지만 후향적 연구에서는 과거의 관찰기록을 바탕으로 분석이 진행되는 연구이므로 연구대상자를 두 집단으로 무작위 할당하지 못했기 때문에 기본적인 특성변수들이 차이가 나는 경우가 빈번하게 발생할 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 임상자료를 분석하는 방법으로 공변량을 사용한다. 대표적으로 공변량을 사용하는 분석방법으로는 공분산분석, 수정회귀모형, propensity score matching 방법 등이 있다. 본 연구는 후향적 임상연구에서 공변량을 이용한 자료 분석 방법 및 propensity score matching 방법을 소개하고, 실제 위암 환자들의 재발관련 자료에 적용하여, 그 필요성을 확인한다.

  • 일반 대화속에는 물론, TV광고, 포스터, 신문, 잡지 등에 광범위하게 이용되고 있는 유머는 창조적인 사고로 아이디어를 개발하는 디자이너에게 훌륭한 표현수단이 되고 있으며 어떤 표현방법보다도 포용력 있고 설득적인 중요한 수단으로 그 가치와 함께 끊임없는 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 지금까지 유머에 관한 연구는 광고를 중심으로 상품구매에 미치는 영향에 관한 유머 소구효과가 대부분이라 실제로 새로운 표현방법을 개발하고자 하는 디자이너에게는 이러한 연구자료가 이용되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 수용자인 대중에게 효과적인 메세지 전달을 하기위해 노력하는 디자이너 입장에서 새로운 연구가 계획되어야 하며, 객관적으로 검증되고 실제적으로 활용가능한 자료가 필요하다. 본 연구는 인간의 가장 기본적이며 공통적 언어인 유머를 통하여 타이포그래피의 새로운 표현방법을 제시하고, 각 유형별로 어떠한 표현 특성이 있는지 분석하여 그를 토대로 디자이너와 대중이 공유할 수 있는 보다 타당성있고 효과적인 유머 표현을 위해 이의 효용성을 실증적으로 고찰하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 타이포그래피의 유머적 표현방법이 대중에게 어떻게 지각되고 있는지를 알고, 실험을 통해서 디자이너가 아이디어 개발에 접근해 가기를 바라며, 그러한 작업이 이루어질 때 보다 객관적이고 적합한 디자인을 계획할 수 있고 나아가 메세지 전달효과를 증대시킬 수 있다.

  • Instant Messenger is a communication tool which allows instant real-time connection between parties through Internet Compared to the most popular Internet communication tool. email. the messenger allows people to check network presence of other parties and to connect in real time among multiple parties. Mostly due to the convenience it provides. use of instant messengers has increased tremendously not only for personal purpose but also for business purpose. However. firms are agonizing about the real impact of instant messenger usage among employees. whether the impact is positive or negative in terms of the productivity, Applying the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and technology acceptance model (TAM). this study sets UP perceived ease of use. perceived usefulness and cultural orientation of individuals as antecedents of adoption and use of the messenger application, Also. the impacts of messenger usage are measured as task productivity and intimacy among colleagues. This study presents several findings about the instant messenger, First. perceived ease of use. and usefulness play important roles in raising the adoption level of instant messenger. Also. culture propensity also maintains strong influence towards the actual usage of the messenger. Among cultural variables. innovativeness, supportiveness and outcome orientation reveal strong positive impacts on adoption and use of the messenger. On the dependent side. use of instant messenger seems to have a strong direct impact on task productivity as well as indirect impact through intimacy. Implications are discussed.

베이커리 이용고객의 소비성향에 따른 선택속성이 행동의도에 미치는 영향: 부산지역을 중심으로 (The Effect of Selected Properties Bakery Act in Accordance with the Customer's Use of Propensity to Consume: Focused on Busan)

  • 본 연구에서는 베이커리소비자들의 소비성향에 따라서 베이커리선택속성과 행동의도에 미치는 영향요인들과 그 요인을 이용한 앞으로의 활용방안을 제시하고자 한다. 총 300부의 설문지를 배포하여 불성실하게 응답한 28부의 설문지를 제외한 나머지 272부의 유효한 설문지를 실증연구에 사용되었다. 조사 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 통계프로그램 SPSS 18.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 요인분석 및 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과를 보면 소비성향에 대한 측정항목의 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 3개 요인으로 KMO 값은 0.778, 총분산비율 62,121%, 선택속성에 대한 요인분석은 전체설명력 65,689%, KMO 값은 0,776으로 나타났다. 행동의도에 대한 요인분석은 전체설명력 69,817%, KMO 값은 0,803으로 나타났다. 변수들 간의 상관관계가 다른 변수에 의해 설명되는 정도가 좋게 분석되었고, 유의확률이 0,000으로 나타나 전반적으로 변수들 간의 상관관계는 유의적이다. 따라서 소비성향에 따른 베이커리 선택속성이 행동의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 가설은 부분채택되었다.

Conduits for Coronary Bypass: Arteries Other Than the Internal Thoracic Artery's

  • This is the third in a series on coronary artery bypass which reviews three alternative arterial conduits. The radial artery has become the most widely used of the three and accumulating experience demonstrates better patency at 10 years versus saphenous vein. Drawbacks are a long incision on the forearm, the propensity for spasm and persistent sensory disturbance in about 10%. The first is answered by endoscopic harvest which may yield a shorter conduit but reduces sensory nerve injury. Spasm is managed pharmacologically and by less harvest trauma. The gastroepiploic artery is used in situ and free and although the abdominal cavity is entered complications are minimal and patency compares favorably with the radial artery. Use of the inferior epigastric artery remains minimal and its similar length often requires composite use but limited patency data are supportive. Other arteries have had rare use and this is unlikely to change because the three presented here have significant advantages and acceptance.

  • Recently, various search techniques using artificial intelligence techniques have been introduced. It is also possible to use the artificial intelligence to grasp customer propensity. Analyzing the clothes that customers usually wear, it is possible to analyze various colors such as favorite colors, patterns, and fashion styles. In this study, we use artificial intelligence technology to create an application that distinguish between adults and children by combining various factors such as shape, type, color and size of human clothes. Through this, it will be possible to utilize it in a living area where children can be protected in advance by grasping the intrusion of unauthorized adults in the living area where children live mainly. In addition, in the future, we can obtain good results to detect stranger adult person if we apply this experimental result to the detection system using clothing information.

  • Mobile banking service has emerged as an important profit source for both banks and mobile phone service companies. However, the growth of the mobile banking service is behind the expectation of banks and mobile phone companies. One plausible explanation for this laggard diffusion of mobile banking may be the lack of consumers' initial trust on the service. Therefore, this study investigates the critical factors in building trust and intention to use mobile banking services. Our research results show that propensity-to-trust, structural assurance, and relative advantages of services have significant impacts on consumers' initial trust in mobile banking service Furthermore, initial trust in mobile banking service is a critical factor for adopting mobile banking services Contrary to our expectation, however, reputation of banks and mobile phone companies are not significant in attracting consumers to mobile banking services.

Research on Factors Influencing Consumers' Willingness to Use Community Group Buying Platform

  • Purpose: The study aims to identify the key factors that influence consumers' propensity to utilize community group buying platforms, employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a theoretical framework. Research design, data and methodology: The research design involved selecting 192 consumers with experience in community group buying and analyzing the data statistically using SPSS 23.0. Hypotheses were tested utilizing the structural equation modeling software AMOS. Results: Key findings indicate that the attributes of products offered on community group buying platforms significantly enhance consumers' perceptions of usefulness and ease of use. Furthermore, these perceptions directly correlate with consumers' intentionsto use the platform. Conclusions: Thisresearch, grounded in the TAM, delves into how external factors of the community group buying platform impact perceived usefulness and ease of use, and subsequently, how these perceptions affect consumers' purchasing intentions. Based on these insights, several recommendations can be proposed for the platform's development: The platform should strive to enhance product quality and cultivate a positive reputation. Strategic promotional initiatives should be designed to attract new users while retaining existing customers. Continuous optimization of platform functionalities is necessary to augment users' perception of usefulness. These measures are anticipated to foster user engagement, increase adoption rates, and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of the community group buying platform.

Upward Flame Spread for Fire Risk Classification of High-Rise Buildings

  • External fire spread has the potential to breach vertical compartmentation and violate the fire safety strategy of a building. The traditional design solution to this has been the use of non-combustible materials and spandrel panels but recent audits show that combustible materials are widespread and included in highly complex systems. Furthermore, most jurisdictions no longer require detailing of spandrel panels under many different circumstances. These buildings require rapid investigation using rational scientific methods to be able to adequately classify the fire risk. In this work, we use an extensive experimental campaign of material-scale data to explore the critical parameters driving upward flame spread. Two criteria are outlined using two different approaches. The first evaluates the time to ignition and the time to burnout to assess the ability for a fire to spread, and can be easily determined using traditional means. The second evaluates the preheated flame length as the critical parameter driving flame spread. A wide range of cladding materials are ranked according to these criteria to show their potential propensity to flame spread. From this, designers can use conservative approaches to perform fire risk assessments for buildings with combustible materials or can be used to aid decision-making. Precise estimates of flame spread rates within complex façade systems are not achievable with the current level of knowledge and will require a substantial amount of work to make progress.

Altered patterns of brain activity during transient anger among young males with alcohol use disorders: A preliminary study

  • The aim of the study was to investigate the neural substrates associated with processing anger among young males with alcohol use disorders (AUDs) using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Eighteen individuals with AUD and 15 demographically similar non-abusers participated in the study. Participants were scanned on their brain functioning while they viewed an audio-visual film clip that was previously designed specifically to induce anger emotion, followed by anpsychological assessment. Greater brain activities were detected in the left inferior frontal gyrus (IFG) and dorsal anterior cingulate cortex (dACC) among subjects with AUD compared to the controls during the exposure to anger-provoking stimuli. Despite the same level of subjective anger during anger induction, the greater activations both in the IFG and dACC regions may suggestthat individuals with AUD have a greater propensity to undergo cognitive control and self-regulation while experiencing anger.
