Purpose: This study aims to provide basic data for future nursing education by identifying the effects of flipped learning-type project-based learning on nursing college students' self-directed learning ability, self-leadership, and academic self-efficacy. Methods: It is a pre-experimental study designed before and after a single group to verify the effect of flipped learning project-based learning on nursing students' self-directed learning ability, self-leadership, and academic self-efficacy in 81 third-grade nursing students. Results: No statistically significant difference in self-efficacy (t=-0.80, p=.545) but self-directed learning ability (t=-3.85, p<.001) and self-leadership (t=-5.18, p<.001) were found to have a statistically significant difference before and after. Conclusion: Flipped learning-type project-based learning was confirmed effective in improving nursing college students' self-directed learning ability and self-leadership. Therefore, instructors will need to develop and apply teaching methods that provide learners with opportunities for pre-learning and carry out learner-centered projects to improve nursing college students' self-directed learning ability and self-leadership.

This study examined the effects of the R&D project managers' leadership on the product development performance. A survey was carried out empirically on a group of 175 experts associated with project management R&D operations in the field of manufacturing, construction engineering, shipbuilding, plant, and IT. The survey results showed that the effects of the R&D project managers' leadership on the product development performance were not significant, and the mediating effects of the project sponsor roles were significant. This means that the leadership of leaders, which requires efficient control and management based on complicated intergroup relationships and roles, is important in a project involving experts from the professional field. This suggests that the efficient leadership of leaders can improve the performance through the cooperation of members in the organization and aggregation of their core competencies in a limited time. Overall, the key results of this study mean that project leaders should play an active mediating role to maximize their leadership and enhance the role of project sponsors. In addition, the mediating role of project sponsors has an effect on the leadership of project managers, affecting the project performance quality.

This empirical study focused on examining the relationship between transactional transformational leadership style and power of construction project manager and the organizational effectiveness, respectively, and the moderating role of power between leadership and the organizational effectiveness. A 790 numbers useful questionnaires were obtained from the stuffs working at the construction sites excluding project managers. Internal consistency test using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted for the reliability and validity of the scales respectively. And cluster analysis and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were conducted to test the hypotheses. The results and implications are as follows. First, the leadership styles of project managers influence positively the subordinates' job satisfaction but not organizational commitment in construction project. Second, the power styles of project managers influence positively the subordinates' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, the leadership styles of the project managers influence positively the subordinates' job satisfaction and organizational commitment by the power moderating role. The implication of this result is important because of the fact that the transformational leadership can be useful even in the construction projects. And the moderating role of the project manage's power suggests.

The study attempts to propose and test a causal research model using SEM (Structural Equation Model) to determine whether there is a relationship between six sigma champion's transformational leadership and belts' creativity based on the mediated effects of intrinsic motivation and project's learning and growth. The subjects of the study composed of 134 belts from manufacturing and service firms implemented six sigma. Empirical results show that transformational leadership is positively related to intrinsic motivation and project learning and growth. In addition, intrinsic motivation and project learning and growth are positively related to creativity. The results of the study imply that creativity of six sigma belts would be enhanced by implementation of six sigma projects and utilizing six sigma tools and methods.

Technology innovation companies are focusing on contributing to business performance by R&D project as a strategic tool. Successful R&D leads to corporate competitiveness enhancement, national industrial development, but there are high uncertainty and risks in R&D. Public and private R&D projects are carried out to achieve various purposes. It was verified how the risk management and benefit management of the R&D project affect the detailed R&D project performance between the Public and private domain. The impact of Project Leadership on R&D performance was also analyzed. Those who have participated in the Public and Private R&D projects at companies or research institutes were surveyed. First, it was found that project risk and benefit management have partially an effect on R&D project performance. Second, Public and private R&D Project Leadership showed partially a interaction effect between project management and project performance.

The study is to analyze the role of highschool youth group in a rural regeneration project. The process of youth group becoming subjective in resident participation plan was classified into isolation reduction, self-awareness, perspective-taking, subjectivity practice, and opinion expression. Isolation reduction is a stage in which youth group is gradually drawn into the community from a limited society of home and school, self-awareness is a stage in which they discover their thoughts, and view perspective-taking is a stage in which they objectify themselves and surroundings through communication with other members of the region, social experiment was analyzed as a practice of subjectivity that experiences leadership guiding the local community independently, and expressing opinions is a stage of representing the region and giving responsibility for the specific issue of the implementation plan. The study is also an analysis of how residents committee, local governments, and local research institutes perform both regeneration and community revitalization in rural areas. Therefore, the analysis of the cooperative organization of these institutions was conducted simultaneously. The leadership program was effectively linked to the project of rural regeneration. Since high school students themselves are family members of the local people, the process of accepting the project is unaffected, and the feasibility of the project is also increased, such as forming a positive atmosphere for the project and easing resistance to minority opinions.

Construction clients are the key player in that they initiate construction projects and are in a position to influence the efficiency and productivity of the projects. Construction projects by nature require team-working so clients's leadership is the crux of project success. The objective of this paper is to suggest characteristics of construction clients' leadership in terms of best practice based on the analysis of project success cases. Four key elements of construction clients' leadership are identified and best practice from the case studies were related to the elements.

The purpose of this study is to examine the direct effect of project manager's authentic leadership on field staffs' intention to leave, and a mediating role of field staffs' perceived organizational support as a moderator. We collected data from 630 field staffs in the 75 different construction sites. The results of this study are as flows. First, the project manager's authentic leadership has positive impact on field staffs' perceived organizational support. Second, the project manager's authentic leadership has no significant impact on field staffs' intention to leave. Third, the field staffs' perceived organizational support has negative impact on field staffs' intention to leave. Finally, field staffs' perceived organizational support has perfectly mediated effects on the relationship between project manager's authentic leadership and field staffs' intention to leave. In conclusion, project manager's authentic leadership has significantly influenced field staffs' perceived organizational support, which also has significantly influenced field staffs' intention to leave. Especially, because of the rare studies on project manager's leadership this study has an important meaning.

The goal of this paper is the presenting method that is based on the NCS-Based Competency Curriculum to use for teaching leadership education in petty officer area. The leadership education under NCS-Based Competency Curriculum is developing the overall usage of individual competency with varied knowledge and experience. The leadership education for potential petty officers is formed with four steps. At the first step, a check of personal competency. For the second step, designing a project format and setting a direction of the leadership curriculum. For the third step, a consolidation of theoretical and background knowledge through the project and presenting a training experience of problem analysis and resolution. For the fourth step, showing a result of the leadership education with another competency check. The leadership education under the NCS-Based Competency Curriculum is an essential way to develop leadership to the students who are participating petty officer education program at the college level. Finally, this research paper shows its research limitation and a way of hereafter research.

This paper probes into safety leadership in construction and its impacts on site safety performance. A safety leadership model for construction is proposed. It contains two impacting paths of safety leadership, namely safety management and safety culture. By action research, safety improvement is achieved through leadership fulfillment on construction sites.
