  • In this paper, we propose a 3D design method of the vacuum forming method of the front part to improve the lightness and production efficiency of agricultural electric vehicles. For agricultural electric vehicles, lightness and production efficiency are more important than the strength of materials for collision protection. In this paper, we propose a vacuum forming design method that can replace complex machining processes such as laser machining, bending, and painting. The main purpose of this research is to improve product stability, productivity and convenience through 3D design of the front part and development of vacuum forming mold technology. Research procedure follows the 3D modeling of the front part using CATIA, finite element analysis for the structural stability using ABAQUS, manufacturing prototype for the investigation of the dimensions using 3D scanner and actual driving test under agricultural electric vehicle usage environment. The results verifies the proposed 3D design method of the vacuum forming method and are expected to be widely used by agricultural workers through the simplification of the production process of agricultural electric vehicles.

  • Effect of seawater temperature (temperature) on the production of anchovy, Engraulis japonica and laver, Porphyra tenera Kjellman, were investigated in the eastern part of South Sea of Korea (ESS). Bimonthly temperature data (Feb., Apr., Jun., Aug., Oct., Dec.) from 1980 to 2002 were collected from Korean Oceanographic Data Center (KODC) and monthly anchovy catch and laver production from 1980 to 2002 were used from published sources by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries, Korea. Effects of temperature on the two organisms were examined in four cases. In case of lower anchovy catch and higher laver production (1993), temperature during main spawning season of anchovy was about $0.2-0.6^{\circ}C$ lower than normal condition, and temperature during seed collecting season of laver in Namhaedo, Kojedo went down below $22.0^{\circ}C$. In case of higher anchovy catch and higher laver production (1995), optimum temperature for catch was formed in main fishing ground, temperature for seed collection was lower than $22.0^{\circ}C$, In case of lower anchovy catch and lower laver production (1996), temperature for spawning and catch was about $0.6-1.6^{\circ}C$ lower than normal condition, and temperature during seed collection in nursery was about $0.5-1.0^{\circ}C$ higher than optimum temperature for seed collection. In case of higher anchovy catch and lower laver production (1998), temperature during main fishing and spawning season was about $1.0-1.8^{\circ}C$ higher than normal condition, and temperature during laver seed collection in nursery was $1.5^{\circ}C$ higher than optimum temperature for seed collection.

  • Nitrogenous new production and regenerated production were measured in the southern part of the Yellow Sea (Hwanghae) using a stable isotope /SUP 15/N nitrate and ammonia between April 25∼30, 1993. Nitrogen production varied between 155 and 688 mg N m/SUP -2/ d/SUP -1/, which belongs to meso to eutrophic area values. This is equivalent to 881∼3909 mg C m/SUP -2/ d/SUP -1/, assuming the Redfield ratio for C:N of 5.7:1 (by weight). the f0ratio which is the fraction of new production from primary production, varied between 0.12 and 0.26, indicating that 74 to 88% of primary production was supported by the regeneration of nutrients within the euphoric zone. This low f0ratio is the characteristics of the oligo- to mesotrophic area. Contrary to the expected, the ambient nutrient concentration was not an important factor for controlling productivity in this area during the study period. The difference in productivity among stations was mainly due to the variations in phytoplankton biomass in different water masses.

  • In this paper, production system is implemented with the inferential neural network model using semantic network and directed graph. Production system can be implemented with the transform of knowledge representation in production system into semantic network and of semantic network into directed graph, because directed graphs can be expressed by neural matrices. A concept node should be defined by the state vector to calculated the concepts expressed by matrices. The expressional ability of neunal network depends on how the state vector is defined. In this study, state vector is overlapped and each overlapping part acts as a inheritant of concept.

  • In the parts including a vehicle, standard and contents are different according to type of automobile. Although the parts are same, the quality and requirement all are different according to vehicle production version. Also the business is shared at each department in a production line. So if a part is changed, each team or the department must recognize information which is changed. But currently if the event can occur at like this each department, because of parts management through handwork, the unification of information is difficult. Therefore in this paper, we applied POP systems at the automobile part enterprise and constructed POP based the automobile part productive integrated management system. This system supported productive information from mechanical, equipment, worker, and products in real-time and data update also is processed automatically. When this system is introduced, work time and cost remarkably will be reduced.

  • This paper presents a process routing (PR) algorithm with multiple objectives. PR determines the optimum sequence of operations for transforming a raw material into a completed part within the available machining resources. In any computer aided process planning (CAPP) system, selection of the machining operation sequence is one of the most critical activities for manufacturing a part and for the technical specification in the part drawing. Here, the goal could be to generate the sequence that optimizes production time, production cost, machine utilization or with multiple these criteria. The Pareto Stratum Niche Cubicle (PS NC) GA has been adopted to find the optimum sequence of operations that optimize two conflicting criteria; production cost and production quality. The numerical analysis shows that the proposed PS NC GA is both effective and efficient to the PR problem.

  • The main purpose of this study is to establish standard times of several manufacturing processes in a small-sized manufacturing company located in Taegu. This company produces two types of products; single parts and part assemblies of bicycles. Due to lack of the standards on daily or hourly production volumes, the production manager could not assign workers daily production volume at the start of production, and could not exercise tight supervision. The standard times established in this study were much less than the average production times found in the daily production report. Based on these standard times, we calculated the number of machines that a worker can operate properly without bringing overload on him, and established a line balanced production system in each manufacturing process to minimize work-in-process inventory.

  • For zero inventory and mixed assembly production, JIT (Just In Time) production system in Toyota and JIS (Just-In-Sequence) production system in Hyundai motor co. have been proposed in automobile production areas. Even though the production systems are popular in the areas, many subcontract companies producing part-modules for final production at a parent company suffers from excessive or shortage amount of inventory due to the time gap of production and delivery to the parent company. In this study, we propose an efficient real-time assembly sequence system applying a well-known Pareto method using Paint-In information in painting process and daily production planning information. Based on this system, a production line can estimate the shortage amount of UPH (Units Per Hour) at production line and recovers the amount before operating assembly production in the line. The proposed system provides efficiency on productivity compared with the previous system.

  • In tunneling projects, a significant part of the costs is spent on segment production. By more economically producing, the cost of tunnel construction can be greatly reduced, especially in long and large-diameter tunnels. In the present study, the effect of using the Carousel method in the improvement of the production system performance compared to the conventional Static system has been studied. To carry out the research, a quantitative comparison of cost and production time was carried out for two production methods using the available documentation. The opinions of experts have been obtained using questionnaires and qualitative comparison of cost, time and production quality was done by implementation of statistical analysis. The SPSS software and the univariate t-test were used to analyze the questionnaires. According to the results of statistical analysis with SPSS, the use of the Carousel method will reduce production time and costs along with increasing manufacturing quality. According to the documentation analysis, the Carousel method reduces the cost of production by almost 30% and leads to a reduction of the production time to approximately 40% of the Static moulds system. The Carousel method has a higher production rate, efficiency, and better performance. Research into quantifying the benefits of Carousel method in the production system performance is very limited. This comparison is based on real information from the under construction Tabriz Metro project. This article can be very helpful in choosing the best production method.
