융복합제품을 위한 모듈방식의 안전인증체계 설계 -자율주행 자동차를 중심으로- (Designing a Modular Safety Certification System for Convergence Products - Focusing on Autonomous Driving Cars -)

  • Purpose: Autonomous driving cars, which are often represent the new convergence product, have been researched since the early years of 1900 but their safety assurance policies are yet to be implemented for real world practices. The primary purpose of this paper is to propose a modular concept based on which a safety assurance system can be designed and implemented for operating autonomous driving cars. Methods: We combine a set of key attributes of CE mark (European Assurance standard), E-Mark (Automobile safety assurance system), and A-SPICE (Automobile software assurance standard) into a modular approach. Results: Autonomous vehicles are emphasizing software safety, but there is no integrated safety certification standard for products and software. As such, there is complexity in the product and software safety certification process during the development phase. Using the concept of module, we were able to come up with an integrated safety certification system of product and software for practical uses in the future. Conclusion: Through the modular concept, both international and domestic standards policy stakeholders are expected to consider a new structure that can help the autonomous driving industries expedite their commercialization for the technology advanced market in the era of Industry 4.0.

강원도 중소기업의 제조물책임법 대책에 대한 연구 (A Case Study on PL Management in Small and Medium-Sized Firms of Gangwon-Do Province)

  • Product liability(PL) is the producer's compensation to customers for damage incurred by product defects. This paper studies on the organizational culture, promotion process, system construction, system level, product safety review, product safety assurance, system operation, and its effectiveness and necessity of recognition for the PL system of small and medium-sized firms in Gangwon-Do province. The results show that the firms have product safety regulations, but the number of firms which its employees understand the regulations is less than the number of firms which do not understand. Also the number of firms which is preparing PL prevention and insurance, and counterplan for accidents seems to be not in large numbers.

KASS 통합운영국 소프트웨어 품질 보증을 위한 소프트웨어 품질 모델 및 메트릭 적용방안 (Application of Software Quality Model and Metric for Software Product Assurance for KASS Control Station)

  • KASS(Korea Augmentation Satellite System)는 국토교통부에서 2014년부터 개발 중인 한국형 위성항법보강시스템이다. KASS는 항공기 안전에 영향을 미칠수 있는 항공용 시스템이기 때문에 KASS의 각 소프트웨어는 안전성 분석을 통해 할당된 DO-178B의 소프트웨어 레벨에 따라 개발이 수행된다. KASS의 하위시스템인 통합운영국의 경우 일부 소프트웨어를 제외하고는 DO-178B 레벨E를 할당 받았으며 DO-178B 레벨E 소프트웨어의 경우 제품 보증을 위해 ECSS-Q-ST-80C 카테고리 D를 준수하여 개발하도록 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ECSS-Q-ST-80C를 만족하기 위해 ECSS-E-ST-40C, ECSS-Q-HB-80-04A를 분석하여 KASS 통합운영국 소프트웨어의 제품 보증을 위한 소프트웨어 생명 주기 별 활동 및 소프트웨어 품질 모델, 메트릭을 제안한다.

  • Recently, product-reliability and process-reliability in product development processes has been regarded as an important issue in many manufacturers. TRIZ which is theory for inventive solving is required to obtain reliability of each process. To solve the technological problems, TRIZ provides problems can be occurred in product development processes as a contradiction matrix based on 40 creative invention principles with alternatives for physical and technological contradiction. This paper suggests the method for inventive solving to ensure the reliability assurance of product development processes based on TRIZ.

  • Development of launch vehicle needs a large-scale and complicated System Engineering discipline interfacing to small-quantity production with special manufacturing processes. In general, the System Engineering discipline of launch vehicle has its relationship with Production, Operations, Product Assurance and Management disciplines and its internal partitions into the functions of System Engineering Integration & Control, Requirements Engineering, Analysis, Design and Configuration and Verification. As a function of Product Assurance, reliability of launch vehicle plays an significant role in risk management, system safety, flight safety and launch certification through design assurance. Moreover, major functions of systems engineering are integrated by means of reliability in the phases of design and verification. Therefore, derailed identification of system engineering interfaces of reliability, and execution of tasks for reliability assurance is required for successful development of launch vehicle. This paper identifies specific pattern and mechanism of the interfaces between reliability and system engineering.

공급자 부품품질 향상을 위한 품질보증시스템 개선방안 (Enhancement of Quality Assurance System for Improving the Quality of Suppliers' Product)

  • A prerequisite for improving the quality of a product is to enhance the quality of its parts supplied from outsourced enterprises. An enterprise certified by ISO 9001 Quality Management System is expected to develop their effective quality assurance system and maintain it through continuous control and improvement, thereby ensuring the good quality of products that they produce. However, it is reported that small and medium-sized enterprises certified by ISO 9001 have difficulty establishing an effective quality assurance system. This study aims to propose a new method of improving a quality assurance system that can be more effective in small and medium-sized enterprises. This study collectively considered requirements specified in several international standards on quality system and the results of expert group brainstorming to identify evaluation areas and items for assessing a quality assurance system. Based on these evaluation areas and items, a set of checklists for diagnosing and improving a quality assurance system was developed. In order to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method, this study applied it to ten small and medium-sized enterprises and could identify four approaches for improving their current quality assurance system. The presented improvement method, which consists of establishment of quality goals and quality innovation plan, defective products corrective activities, 4M and design change process, improvement of customer quality information management, is expected to be utilized as a useful tool for the enhancement of the quality assurance system of small and medium-sized enterprises.

  • 인공위성은 지상 시스템과는 달리 극한 발사환경 및 우주환경에 노출되고, 운용 중 수리가 불가능하며, 임무 실패에 따른 위험비용이 매우 크기 때문에 고신뢰성, 고비용의 부품, 장비 및 시스템을 채택하여 개념설계단계에서부터 신뢰성을 관리한다. 신뢰성 관리의 주요 목적은 설계변경 및 개발 사이클의 반복을 최소화하고, 개발비용을 절감하며, 시스템의 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위한 것으로서, 대부분의 우주시스템 개발 프로젝트에서는 제품보증(Product Assurance) 활동의 일환으로 수행된다. 제품보증 업무는 크게 품질보증, 신뢰성 관리, EEE 부품관리, 재료 및 공정(Material & Process) 관리, 오염관리, 소프트웨어 품질보증 등으로 구분되지만, 포괄적인 의미의 신뢰성 관리 범주에 이를 모두 포함시키기도 한다. 인공 위성의 개발과정에서 기술성능지표 중 하나로서 중점 관리되고 있는 시스템 신뢰성 관리의 세부기법, 프로세스, 개선 필요사항 등에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다.

위성 탑재체 제품보증에 대한 고찰 (Product Assurance for the Payload of the Satellite System)

  • 본 고찰은 위성시스템을 구성하는 본체, 고해상도 카메라로 대표되는 주탑재체 및 과학임무용으로 사용되는 과학 목적 및 기술검증용 탑재체 중 본체와 주탑재체를 제외한 탑재체에 대한 제품보증 방안에 관한 것이다. 현재까지 우리나라는 위성 개발 프로그램을 통해 위성 본체 및 주탑재체에 대한 제품보증을 성공적으로 수행하여 왔다고 할 수 있다. 다만, 모든 위성 개발 프로그램에서 개발예산과 기간에 제한이 있음을 고려할 때, 본체나 주탑재체와 비교시 그 중요도가 상대적으로 낮다고 할 수 있는 과학 및 기술검증용 탑재체에 대한 적정한 제품보증 수준을 결정하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 고찰은 이러한 관점에서 과학 및 기술검증용 탑재체에 대한 제품보증 방향을 모색하기 위한 것이다.

  • In order to examine the determinants of new product success, winning products are analyzed with a focus on merchantability. The specific dimensions of product advantage have not been studied as yet. As results of the analysis, the determinants are classified into function, aesthetics, economy, safety, usability, reliability, brand image, assurance, distribution channel, advertisement, DEF(design for the environment). This study augmented the data set through questionnaire survey to marketing professor in University. The results of this study would be a cue to the future direction of new product development and to management of exist product.

  • The product process is sequence of all the required activities that a company must perform to develop, and manufacture a product. These activities include marketing, research, engineering design, quality assurance, manufacturing, and a whole chain of suppliers and vendors. The process also comprises all strategic planning, capital investments, management decisions, and tasks necessary to create a new product. manufacturing processes must be created so that the product can be produced in the product facility Purchasing new equipment and training workers may be required if new technology is to be used. Tools, fixtures, and the sequence of steps in the manufacturing processes must all be developed to allow rapid, high-quality, cost effective production. Also, it may be needed to be rearrange the production facility to adapt to the new manufacturing processes. Therefore, this study tries to proposed that Scheduling by customer needs group for minimizing the problem and reducing inventory, product development time, cycle time, and order lead time.
